The enemy walks up and down!
2 Kings 17:5 “Then the king of Assyria came up throughout all the land, and went up to Samaria, and besieged it three years. 6 In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria.”
This message comes as a caveat for one and all! God removes His protection, when we remove Him from our life! Are you there? God walks out of our life when sins have easy access in our life! If you are moving closely with a woman other than your wife and if this relationship is heading towards adultery, beware, you would be punished. If you are watching porn from a corner, be warned, the enemy would do ‘salsa dance’ in your home. Check out your computer for ‘pirated software’; all projects and business done through ‘theft process’ would bring you curses. Ease over ethic is the policy of many!
Delete the pirated software immediately and purchase them before the enemy gets a ‘gate-pass’ to destroy you and your family. Here comes a severe warning for all!
Let me explain the above scripture which is seldom preached today, Israel was subjugated by the enemy and the king of Israel was captured and imprisoned, now the king of Assyria, the enemy of God’s people walked to and fro throughout all the land of Israel and had full access to everything in the land. The words ‘king of Assyria came up throughout all the land’ caught my attention and there is huge learning for all of us here. Why was Israel without protection? How did the enemy walk into Israel (the land of God’s people) so coolly and easily? Why did God not stop the enemy? Below are the answers:
• the children of Israel had sinned against the LORD their God (2 Kings 17:7)
• they feared other gods
• they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made them molten images (Worst sin that brought on them the wrath of God)
Many of the Christian homes/cars today have the movies and serial dramas running 24/7 on the TV and the entire house reverberates with these sounds. We seldom hear Christian songs from Christian homes! No wonder divorces, broken homes, sickness, financial bankruptcy, debts, accidents occur frequently in the lives of God’s people because they have forgotten their God and His House. How could people react so dispassionately? How could we forget our Savior?
‘Now you won’t have to pass any tests or exams to receive your diploma’ were words I received through email, everything comes with a price! Without sweat! Young college students are stacking their resume with every possible “extra” and attaching as much ‘fake’ certificates as they could, to insure that they may get a plum job, foreign assignment after graduation. Alas! Some succeed, some may not; but when curses attack their life, they have none to point out the ‘grave mistake’ they had sowed in their life. Admit it! Right? The conundrum for me is why so few see or acknowledge the folly of rejecting God and His Word?
Flee from all evil, corrupt practices of this world with fierce determination and walk according to His commandments.
