Healing in the Last Days

Introduction:

A Health care benefits make up 30% of our gross wages in America.

1 Healing & health go hand in hand. (If you experience healing you can experience health)

a Health is a lifestyle of someone who is experiencing daily the power of the blood of Jesus Christ.

b Despite all of our efforts to be healthy, health conscience we still face incurable diseases: cancer, HIV, and plagues such as Ebola & avian flu.

2 The Bible tells us that in the last days there will be a deluge of diseases with no cure.

B Jeremiah speaks of this

12 "For thus says the Lord: 'Your affliction is incurable, Your wound is severe.13 There is no one to plead your cause, That you may be bound up; You have no healing medicines. 14 All your lovers have forgotten you; They do not seek you; For I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy, With the chastisement of a cruel one, For the multitude of your iniquities, Because your sins have increased. 15 Why do you cry about your affliction? Your sorrow is incurable. Because of the multitude of your iniquities, Because your sins have increased, I have done these things to you. Jer 30:12-15 (NKJV)

1 Look at these words:

a Incurable, Severe, No medicines, Incurable sorrow

b Why have these things come upon us? Wickedness in society? (v.15)

2 Iniquity means to take good things and twist them into bad things.

a Our society, world has twisted the things of God since the fall of Adam. Brought us to the place we are today.

b Jeremiah 30.24

24 The fierce anger of the Lord will not return until He has done it, And until He has performed the intents of His heart. In the latter days you will consider it. Jer 30:24 (NKJV)

aa NIV, “In days to come you will understand this.”

bb God will release His judgement, not as an end of itself, but so as to return Israel to Himself, or a nation/people unto Himself.

cc Even in the midst of all this disease God is wanting to show His mercy/healing.

C There is a hope for healing in the last days

1 For New Covenant believers like us, we see hope in this last days that God will put “none of the diseases on you”

26 and said, "If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you." Ex 15:26 (NKJV)

a The believer must turn their battles with terminal/incurable illnesses over to God (Jere. 30.16)

16 'Therefore all those who devour you shall be devoured; And all your adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; Those who plunder you shall become plunder, And all who prey upon you I will make a prey. Jer 30:16 (NKJV)

b We are involved in a spiritual battle, our physical health issues are related to our spiritual condition.

2 This fact is the reason why our faith must remain in God’s power to save, deliver, and heal us. (Our faith is how we grab hold of the strength of God)

D Forgiving our enemies: A Key to miraculous healing in the last days.

1 The medical community has documented the harmful effects that unforgiveness has on the physical body/prevents healing.

a Unforgiveness gives way to dangerous emotions like bitterness, resentment, anger.

b Scripture is clear that God will not forgive our sin unless we forgive others.

15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matt 6:15 (NKJV)

23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. Matt 5:23-24 (NKJV)

44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. Matt 5:43-45 (NKJV)

9 In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. 13 And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. 14 "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matt 6:9-15 (NKJV)

21 Then Peter came to Him and said, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" 22 Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven. 23 Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24 And when he had begun to settle accounts, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. 25 But as he was not able to pay, his master commanded that he be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and that payment be made. 26 The servant therefore fell down before him, saying, 'Master, have patience with me, and I will pay you all.' 27 Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt. 28 But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and he laid hands on him and took him by the throat, saying, 'Pay me what you owe!' 29 So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, 'Have patience with me, and I will pay you all.' 30 And he would not, but went and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt. 31 So when his fellow servants saw what had been done, they were very grieved, and came and told their master all that had been done. 32 Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, 'You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. 33 Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?' 34 And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him. 35 So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses." Matt 18:21-35 (NKJV)

25 "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. Mark 11:25 (NKJV)

35 But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. 36 Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. 37 "Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you." Luke 6:35-38 (NKJV)

c We work against the process of healing when we hold a grudge/past hurt.

2 In 1982, Ronald Reagan lie in a hospital bed after an attack on his life. Patti David, his daughter wrote,

“The following day, my father said he knew his physical healing was directly dependent upon his ability to forgive John Hinckley. By showing me that forgiveness is the key to everything including physical health and healing, he gave me an example of Christlike thinking.”

E Tapping into God Supernatural Healing in the Last Days

1 I believe that for Christians/Churches to be power brokers of the power of the Holy Spirit/Cross we must know the secret.

a Being in His presence through prayer & fasting.

b From that place of intimacy we can embark on a ministry to magnify the Lord in the world of men.

2 There is a price of power.

a The power of the cross condemns us to victory! More than conquerors!

b We must want to win & there is a price to paid to win!

aa Athlete, soldiers, scholars . . . all pay a price to excel!

bb If we are going to operate in the area of healing . . . we too will pay a price!

3 We will desire to be holy, sanctified, passionate to see Him move through us.

a That desire to be His & be used by & for Him will cause us to overcome temptation.

aa Won’t allow discouragement, critics to deter us!

bb Power brokers in the Kingdom will have their hearts broken from time to time.

b You hold the course because you love Jesus!

F When you embark on the journey to walk in the Spirit, you must be aware that it is a road marked with suffering & constant humbling.

1 You will pray for people who earnestly desire healing, touch. (Some will receive it & some will not)

a There are times you will pray & it is if God just touches people, restores people! Other times, zero!

b “Don’t you feel discouraged? Depressed? Disappointed?”

2 We shouldn’t feel anything (If someone get’s healed, it’s not because of you. If someone doesn’t get healed, it’s not because of you either!)

a Whether we’re praying for someone’s healing or claiming our own healing . . . we can be sure that it is God who does the work and not us!

b All we can do is draw near to Him & expect Him to keep His Word.

21 Their nobles shall be from among them, And their governor shall come from their midst; Then I will cause him to draw near, And he shall approach Me; For who is this who pledged his heart to approach Me?' says the Lord. 22 'You shall be My people, And I will be your God.' "Jer 30:21-22 (NKJV)
