Simon Peter replied, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Then Jesus answered him, Blessed (happy, fortunate, and to be envied) are you, Simon Bar-Jonah. For flesh and blood [men] have not revealed this to you, but My Father Who is in heaven.

And I tell you, you are Peter [Greek, Petros—a large piece of rock], and on this rock [Greek, petra—a huge rock like Gibraltar] I will build My church, and the gates of Hades (the powers of the infernal region) shall not overpower it [or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it].

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven.

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. GOD cares so wonderfully for grass, here today and gone tomorrow

"But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and green and tomorrow is tossed into the furnace,"

Psalms 90:5-6 (Amplified Bible)

You carry away [these disobedient people, doomed to die within forty years] as with a flood; they are as a sleep [vague and forgotten as soon as they are gone]. In the morning they are like grass which grows up—

In the morning it flourishes and springs up; in the evening it is mown down and withers.

Luke 12:28 (Amplified Bible)

But if God so clothes the grass in the field, which is alive today, and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more will He clothe you, O you [people] of little faith?

James 1:10-11 (Amplified Bible)

And the rich [person ought to glory] in being humbled [by being shown his human frailty], because like the flower of the grass he will pass away.

For the sun comes up with a scorching heat and parches the grass; its flower falls off and its beauty fades away. Even so will the rich man wither and die in the midst of his pursuits.

1 Peter 1:24-25 (Amplified Bible)

For all flesh (mankind) is like grass, and all its glory (honor) like [the] flower of grass. The grass withers and the flower drops off,

But the Word of the Lord (divine instruction, the Gospel) endures forever. And this Word is the good news which was preached to you.

Isaiah 40:6-9 (Amplified Bible)

A voice says, Cry [prophesy]! And I said, What shall I cry? [The voice answered, Proclaim:] All flesh is as frail as grass, and all that makes it attractive [its kindness, its goodwill, its mercy from God, its glory and comeliness, however good] is transitory, like the flower of the field.

The grass withers, the flower fades, when the breath of the Lord blows upon it; surely [all] the people are like grass.

The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.

O you who bring good tidings to Zion, get up to the high mountain. O you who bring good tidings to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with strength, lift it up, be not afraid; say to the cities of Judah, Behold your God!

Grass are wicked rich people who rely on their wealth as their god, but have no care and belief in GOD that made them rich. They are here in this world and gone tomorrow, but our lifespan is forever because He lives, we will also live with Him.

1 John 4:16 (Amplified Bible)

And we know (understand, recognize, are conscious of, by observation and by experience) and believe (adhere to and put faith in and rely on) the love God cherishes for us. God is love, and he who dwells and continues in love dwells and continues in God, and God dwells and continues in him.

Grass are used to describe rich, wealthy people who trust their wealth and not GOD, and those who trusts themselves but not GOD.

1 Peter 1:24 (Amplified Bible)

For all flesh (mankind) is like grass, and all its glory (honor) like [the] flower of grass. The grass withers and the flower drops off,

B. He will surely care for you

"will He not much more surely clothe you,"

GOD is comparing us with foolish wicked rich people who only lives for themselves, living in the now and just for tomorrow, but have forgotten to live for GOD and trust and rely GOD as their Provider. Regardless of their attitude towards GOD and the absence of their relationship with GOD but they have relationship with money, still GOD in His love chooses to clothe them, how much more, we who loves Him.

1 Peter 1:8 (Amplified Bible)

Without having seen Him, you love Him; though you do not [even] now see Him, you believe in Him and exult and thrill with inexpressible and glorious (triumphant, heavenly) joy.

1 Thessalonians 3:6 (Amplified Bible)

But now that Timothy has just come back to us from [his visit to] you and has brought us the good news of [the steadfastness of] your faith and [the warmth of your] love, and [reported] how kindly you cherish a constant and affectionate remembrance of us [and that you are] longing to see us as we [are to see] you,

He truly cares for us because He wants all our cares to be cast to Him, instead of us caring for them.

1 Peter 5:7 (Amplified Bible)

Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.

Psalms 55:22 (Amplified Bible)

Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip, fall, or fail).

C. We have little faith if we can't think like this

"O you of little faith?"

Be of the same mind just like CHRIST we need to think consistenly like this, that we are greater than the rich people of this world because we are sons.

Matthew 14:31 (Amplified Bible)

Instantly Jesus reached out His hand and caught and held him, saying to him, O you of little faith, why did you doubt?

John 20:27 (Amplified Bible)

Then He said to Thomas, Reach out your finger here, and see My hands; and put out your hand and place [it] in My side. Do not be faithless and incredulous, but [stop your unbelief and] believe!

Hebrews 3:12 (Amplified Bible)

[Therefore beware] brethren, take care, lest there be in any one of you a wicked, unbelieving heart [which refuses to cleave to, trust in, and rely on Him], leading you to turn away and desert or stand aloof from the living God.

Romans 12:16 (Amplified Bible)

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty (snobbish, high-minded, exclusive), but readily adjust yourself to [people, things] and give yourselves to humble tasks. Never overestimate yourself or be wise in your own conceits.

Romans 15:5 (Amplified Bible)

Now may the God Who gives the power of patient endurance (steadfastness) and Who supplies encouragement, grant you to live in such mutual harmony and such full sympathy with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus,

Be careful of lack of faith or unbelief, because it's like we don't know the LORD JESUS CHRIST if we commit this sin.

James 4:17 (Amplified Bible)

So any person who knows what is right to do but does not do it, to him it is sin.

if you know the acts of faith, then do it, in that situation for faith without works is dead.

James 2:17 (Amplified Bible)

So also faith, if it does not have works (deeds and actions of obedience to back it up), by itself is destitute of power (inoperative, dead).

Live by faith not by the standards of this world, which is their five senses, be different from them, we have a much, much, better infinitely FATHER GOD who cares for our needs before we ever know it's a need.

Exodus 11:7 (Amplified Bible)

But against any of the Israelites shall not so much as a dog move his tongue against man or beast, that you may know that the Lord makes a distinction between the Egyptians and Israel.

Exodus 9:4 (Amplified Bible)

But the Lord shall make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt, and nothing shall die of all that belongs to the Israelites.

Galatians 3:11 (Amplified Bible)

Now it is evident that no person is justified (declared righteous and brought into right standing with God) through the Law, for the Scripture says, The man in right standing with God [the just, the righteous] shall live by and out of faith and he who through and by faith is declared righteous and in right standing with God shall live.

2 Corinthians 5:7 (Amplified Bible)

For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance.

IX. CONCLUSION:

We are different from the wicked by living by faith.
