Summary: Life is full of choices. Choice wisely. Choose life and blessing.

Choose You This Day Whom YOU Will Server:

Jesus unto salvation and eternity in Heaven with peace for evermore

Or

Sin and Worldliness unto an eternity in a devil’s hell with torment for evermore.

There is a popular saying out today:

WWJD (What Would Jesus Do):

I think it would be better if it said: WWJND (What Would Jesus Not Do).

Choices are a fact-of-life.

Some choices are harder than others:

“An unhappy alternative is before you, Elizabeth. From this day you must be a stranger to one of your parents. Your mother will never see you again if you do not marry Mr. Collins, and I will never see you again if you do.” ― Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

Moses & Joshua both gave the people a choice between life&death, blessing&crusing.

It would reason that the choice was obvious and easy.

Yet today we live in a world in-which people are constantly choosing death&crusing.

Make better/right choices.

Originally, God intended that the first-born of each Jewish family would be a kohen (priest) –to be that family's representative to the Holy Tabernacle/Temple.

Exodus 13:1-2 “1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel… it is mine.”

Exodus 24:3-5 “3 And Moses came and told the people all the words of the LORD, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which the LORD hath said will we do. 4 And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel. 5 And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the LORD.”

That plan got changed with the incident of the Golden Calf. When Moses came down from Mount Sinai and smashed the tablets.

The first tablets were written on stone by the finger of God.

Moses (man) broke the tablets.

The second set of tablets was written on stone by Moses (man).

God made covenant with man and man broke the covenant.

Then a man (Jesus Christ) renewed covenant with mankind through Calvary.

Moses, after breaking the tablets of stone issued everyone an ultimatum: "Make your choice – either God or the idol."

Only the tribe of Levi came to the side of Moses and God that day.

It was at that point, God decreed that each family's first-born would forfeit their "kohen" (priestly) status – and henceforth all the kohanim (priests) would come from the tribe of Levi.

Numbers 3:11-13 “11 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 12 And I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the firstborn that openeth the matrix among the children of Israel: therefore the Levites shall be mine; 13 Because all the firstborn are mine; for on the day that I smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I hallowed unto me all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast: mine shall they be: I am the LORD.”

So it is with the Church. It makes room for “whosoever will”, however, if they won’t, the Church will still be the Church.

So people have an incorrect concept of the Church. They think the Church needs them… however, the truth of the matter is; they need the Church.

You need the Church.

I need the Church.

Thank God for the Church!

John 1:1-17 “1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. 15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. 16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”

11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

Acts 28:28 “Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.”

Acts 10:44-48 “44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. 45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, 47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord.”

Revelation 5:10 “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.”

Revelation 20:6 “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”

Revelation 1:5-6 “5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”
