My Dad is my king!
Judges 13:23 But his wife said to him, "If the LORD had desired to kill us, He would not have accepted a burnt offering and a grain offering from our hands, nor would He have shown us all these things, nor would He have told us such things as these at this time."
Do any of you feel uncomfortable in calling Him your Dad? Come on, let us come down from the high horse of pride, let us cuddle close to Him and sit at His feet for understanding. My husband had been dropping and picking up my daughter from school during her entire schooling days; this had brought a deep bonding between both of them, my husband not only knows all her friends but their family as well. My daughter has her dad’s photos stuck all around her room, cupboard, mobile screen and in all possible places and she would rave, ‘ my dad is my king.’ God is looking for such kids who would love Him that way! Look how David sang, ‘I will love You, O LORD, my strength, my rock…’ (Psalm 18:1)
Friends, there are many out there who wear a huge cross around their necks, be a member for 50 years in a church, be a committee member in the church, serve as a deacon, play the guitar, sing in the church choir, read the Bible cover to cover, fast, sit in the front pew; yet, have zero knowledge of God, His love nor His power. Are you listening please??? I know of many Christians who say that they love God enormously yet, they would be whistling movie songs 24/7, their home would be reverberating with rock music, their car would be heading to the pub than to the church and they would be neck-deep into all the unrighteous dealings!!!!!!
- Art aficionados have a huge pic of a scantily clad woman adorn their living room and yet they dare to ask, ‘so what, this is art?’
- A christian doctor fools around with the nurses in his hospital, avoids giving proper receipt for fees charged, has a cut of commission for every scan taken and yet dares to ask, ‘so what, this is business?’ The hilarious part is, this ‘christian doctor’ is one of the committee member of the church.
- A young Christian gifted by God to play music and sing gorgeously uses it for the devil and sings for movies to mint money and his spare time - which is rare - is given to God also and he would dare to say, ‘so what this is profession.’
The devil guffaws over all this comedy! Dead Christians! Wake up! Subtle hints of wrongdoing would do no good, our people will never get it..… we need to hammer down the truth! Bang! Bang! Bang! We got to know who our God is and what He likes and what He abhors!
Ignorance of Bible knowledge is the reason for all the calamities in our life! When the angel appeared to Manoah’s wife and said ‘for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb..’ she immediately obeyed the Word of the Lord and accepted it.’ She did not ask for explanation nor did she doubt, it was her husband who prayed for the Angel to come again. Again the second time, the Angel visited the wife while she was sitting in the field; but Manoah her husband was not with her. Manoah’s wife quickly ran and brought her husband to the Angel, who said to Manoah, "Of all that I said to the woman let her be careful!’ Why was the woman chosen for the heavenly visitation and also for the divine message? God knew her heart and sincere faith! Stay on for more hot revelations from this portion of the Bible…..Manoah and his wife offer burnt offerings to the Angel and watch as the Angel descend to heaven. Lovely! Look what Manoah said immediately after the Angel left, ‘We shall surely die, because we have seen God!" My, how can a man be so dumb???? But his wife replied, ‘My Heavenly Dad would never do that, He came down from heaven to speak to me, to bless me with a promise for a special son, He chose me to hear His voice and see Him….such a loving Dad would never want to kill us.’ Give her a royal salute, will you? Such should be your love!
Listen to what I tell you now, the Lord knows and He knows what is deep within your heart! The Bible says, “I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings.” Got it? Spiritual activities does not move Him – He is looking for sincere lovers! Are you there???
Let me echo the words of my daughter here: ‘My Dad Jesus is my King!’
