Summary: There have been a lot of questions written in the Bible. This morning I would like to take 7 of these questions and ask them to you. Answer them in your heart. Allow the Holy Spirit to either confirm or convict your heart if you are living by your answer.

I love to watch game shows. My family and I watch the new Bible trivia game show, The Greatest American Bible Challenge. I watch with anticipation and try to answer the questions before the contestants do. Even though it is just a game show, I believe it is important for us to know the answers to any questions we are asked about the God, Jesus, the Holy Ghost and even God's word. When I am asked and I don't know the answer, I'll tell them what I do know, and then search till I find the answer.

A young boy moving about as fast as molasses in winter approached his father reading the newspaper on the porch, "Dad, why does the wind blow?" "I don’t know, son." "Dad, where do the clouds come from?" "I’m not sure, son." "Dad, what makes a rainbow?" "No idea, son." The young boy leans against the porch railing and says: "Dad, do you mind me asking you all these questions?" Dad looks around the newspaper and says: "Not at all, son. How else are you going to learn?"

The knowledge of our wives must extend beyond the everyday. Yet there are days when all a man has to do is open his mouth and he takes his life in his own hands. There is a story of a couple who was attending a marriage seminar on communication and the instructor told them that is was essential that husbands and wives know the things that are important to each other. He addressed the men, “Can you describe your wife’s favorite flower?” One man leaned over and touched his wife’s arm gently and whispered, “Pillsbury All-Purpose, isn’t it?”

Some of the greatest questions ever asked in God’s Holy Scripture are questions that we need to answer. This morning I challenge you to think about the answers to these questions in your heart. Your answer to these questions and your obedience to those answers will help you determine your eternal destiny…. Even though you may know the correct answers, the question is do we really believe and live the way we say we do. Remember actions always speak louder than words.

Question # 1 – Genesis 3:9 from God

And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

When God called out to Adam he didn’t want directions to his location, God has his own GPS on us. He called out to Adam for him to see where he was…

Answer : Genesis 3:10 from Adam

And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

God knew where Adam was, but Adam was the one that needed to realize where he was. Adam went from being in the presence of God to now being on the run from God. His sin and disobedience to God allowed him to become the first to ever see first hand the product of sin. He learned something that God had never intended for man to learn, and that was sin. What was once perfect, now became destroyed. The presence and peace he had felt up to now, would never be felt in the same way again. BUT, God had a plan. And Jesus was, is, and always will be the Final Answer to God's divine plan.

Question # 2 – James 4:14 from James

Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

Answer : Luke 12:15 from Jesus

Luke 12:15 – 15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. 22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Too many times, we get wrapped up in things of this life and getting more stuff...that we miss out on the good things that God has for us and the plans He has for our life. Life can only be truly be experienced through and by the giver of Life...Jesus. For Jesus said that I have come that they might have life, and have it more abundantly. John 10:10b

Question 2 asks about life, but after life comes death… which leads to question # 3

Question 3 – Job 14:14

14 If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

Answer – Daniel 12:2 from Daniel

2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

John 5:29 - Jesus

29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Till we come to the knowledge that this life has an end, we will never become prepared for what comes after death. When we realize that Jesus is the Giver of eternal life, then we can prepare for Life after death. We all will live eternally in Heaven or Hell. Both will last for eternity. Your final destination is determined how you answer the next 2 questions....

Question 4 – Mark 10:17 – Rich Young Ruler

Question 5–Acts 16:30 from the Phillipian Jailer

30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? (Born Again)

Answer – Romans 10:9,10,13 from Apostle Paul

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Question 6 : Matthew 27:22 from Pilate

22 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.

Answer – John 3: 16-17 Jesus said

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

John 1:12 John said But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

This final question is the Final Jeopardy of them all...

Question 7 – Matthew 16:15 from Jesus

He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

Answer – Matthew 16:17 from Peter

16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Who we say Jesus is really what it is all about.

Are we living each day according to the answers in scripture? Are we living up to the answers we give? I'm sure God's Holy Ghost will bring to light anything that is not true.

A twelve year old boy became a christian during a revival. The next week at school his friends questioned him about the experience. "Did you see a vision?" asked one friend. "Did you hear God speak?" asked another. The youngster answered no to all these questions. "Well, how did you know you were saved?" they asked. The boy searched for an answer and finally he said, "It’s like when you catch a fish, you cant see the fish, or hear the fish; you just feel him tugging on you line. I just felt God tugging on my heart."

If you have felt the Holy Ghost speaking to your heart about one of these questions, please come to Jesus today and make your calling and election sure.
