Mark 10:45 (Amplified Bible)

10:45 For even the Son of Man came not to have service rendered to Him, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for (instead of) many.

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Go into the village

"And instructed them, Go into the village in front of you, and as soon as you enter it,"

Matthew 21:2 (Amplified Bible)

21:2 Saying to them, Go into the village that is opposite you, and at once you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her; untie [them] and bring [them] to Me.

Luke 19:30 (Amplified Bible)

19:30 Telling [them], Go into the village yonder; there, as you go in, you will find a donkey’s colt tied, on which no man has ever yet sat. Loose it and bring [it here].

JESUS is the One giving the instruction so have to obey because it has blessings that follows it.

B. You will find a colt tied

"you will find a colt tied, which has never been ridden by anyone;"

A colt tied.

A colt looked contemptible, made no figure. It's a colt that no man has never sat before, it's rough, untrimmed, rude, ungovernable, would disturb and disgrace the solemnity.

Genesis 1:28 (Amplified Bible)

1:28 And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man]; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth.

Colt represents a young foolish fellow; a person without experience or stability.

Job 11:12 (Amplified Bible)

11:12 But a stupid man will get wisdom [only] when a wild donkey’s colt is born a man [as when he thinks himself free because he is lifted up in pride].

Never been ridden by anyone:

When an animal is used for sacred purpose, it should never been used before by anyone else.

Numbers 19:2 (Amplified Bible)

19:2 This is the ritual of the law which the Lord has commanded: Tell the Israelites to bring you a red heifer without spot, in which is no blemish, upon which a yoke has never come.

Deuteronomy 21:3 (Amplified Bible)

21:3 And the city which is nearest to the slain man, the elders of that city shall take a heifer which has never been worked, never pulled in the yoke,

1 Samuel 6:7 (Amplified Bible)

6:7 Now then, make and prepare a new cart and two milch cows on which no yoke has ever come; and yoke the cows to the cart, but take their calves home, away from them.

CHRIST JESUS came here to seek and save the lost.

Luke 15:4-10 (Amplified Bible)

15:4 What man of you, if he has a hundred sheep and should lose one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness (desert) and go after the one that is lost until he finds it?

15:5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his [own] shoulders, rejoicing.

15:6 And when he gets home, he summons together [his] friends and [his] neighbors, saying to them, Rejoice with me, because I have found my sheep which was lost.

15:7 Thus, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one [especially] wicked person who repents (changes his mind, abhorring his errors and misdeeds, and determines to enter upon a better course of life) than over ninety-nine righteous persons who have no need of repentance.

15:8 Or what woman, having ten [silver] drachmas [each one equal to a day’s wages], if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and look carefully and diligently until she finds it?

15:9 And when she has found it, she summons her [women] friends and neighbors, saying, Rejoice with me, for I have found the silver coin which I had lost.

15:10 Even so, I tell you, there is joy among and in the presence of the angels of God over one [especially] wicked person who repents (changes his mind for the better, heartily amending his ways, with abhorrence of his past sins).

Isaiah 55:8 (Amplified Bible)

55:8 For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord.

Luke 19:10 (Amplified Bible)

19:10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.

C. Unfasten and bring it here

"unfasten it and bring it [here]."

John 11:44 (Amplified Bible)

11:44 And out walked the man who had been dead, his hands and feet wrapped in burial cloths (linen strips), and with a [burial] napkin bound around his face. Jesus said to them, Free him of the burial wrappings and let him go.

Revelation 5:5 (Amplified Bible)

5:5 Then one of the elders [of the heavenly Sanhedrin] said to me, Stop weeping! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root (Source) of David, has won (has overcome and conquered)! He can open the scroll and break its seven seals!

Revelation 9:14 (Amplified Bible)

9:14 Saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, Liberate the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.

Only the LORD JESUS CHRIST can set us free. All of us are like the colt, unruly, unfreeable and ungovernable from our past but the LORD JESUS CHRIST has set us free, opened our mind, broke every chains from us and liberated us to be useful for His Kingdom.

IX. CONCLUSION:

Even a rude, foolish fellow can be ruled over by the LORD by loosing him to serve the LORD.
