Summary: This is what God says, when you feel like your too tired and life's getting you down. I will give your rest, rest like you can't even imagine, the way God intended for you to always live from the beginning! Amen?

God...You said!

Probably one of the earliest things we learn when we are children is, holding our parents, to the promises they make.

Children are tenacious, they are persistent, they quickly learn how to get their way,

When they get a No...that doesn't stop them. No it's on to the other parent, back and forth until they get an okay!

Many a parent have been manipulated by a child,

and said okay and then lived to regret it?

It doesn't matter father, mother said it was okay....and father says, well okay if your mother says it's okay, then it's okay!

And then later gets the blame, because the child says, but dad you said....

But I only said it because your mother said it.....no, dad you said it was okay....

I think maybe that's why someone wrote the song, "Be careful little ears, what you hear" because once they hear what they want, they never forget, do they?

Sometimes we need to be more like children when it comes to our walk with The Lord and claiming the promises in the word.

A lot of times, things will get heavy, burdens will become hard to bare and we need to remind God of what He has said.

Fact is, we're the ones who need to be reminded of what He has said, He has never forgotten, but sometimes we do.

And that's when we should turn to the word and stand and hold fast, to what it says!

That's what Jesus did when He was tempted by the devil, He said listen up devil, this is what My Father has Said,

"it is written you shall not tempt The Lord God"

This is what God says when you think things are impossible

Luke 18:27-30 NKJ

27 But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”

28 Then Peter said, “See, we have left all and followed You.”

29 So He said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God,

30 who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come eternal life.”

Never Grow weary in giving of yourself or your finances to the kingdom of God, He will take care of you, now and forevermore! Amen?

God wants you to know, that He is your source for everything and you can depend on Him!

This is what God says, when you feel like your too tired and life's getting you down.

I will give your rest, rest like you can't even imagine!

Matthew 11:28-30 MSG

28-30 “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

Grace, once you really get ahold of it, will allow you to live freely and lightly, like you never have before... the way God intended for you to always live from the beginning! Amen?

This is what God says, when you think nobody loves you...God says, I Love You!

and His words aren't idle words, He means what He says and they are life giving words!

John 3:16-18, 34-36 MSG

16-18 “This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.

34-36 “The One that God sent speaks God’s words. And don’t think he rations out the Spirit in bits and pieces. The Father loves the Son extravagantly. He turned everything over to him so he could give it away—a lavish distribution of gifts. That is why whoever accepts and trusts the Son gets in on everything, life complete and forever! And that is also why the person who avoids and distrusts the Son is in the dark and doesn’t see life. All he experiences of God is darkness, and an angry darkness at that.”

whoever accepts and trusts the Son gets in on everything, life complete and forever!

That's how much God Loves you, There is no Greater Love to be found

A wife likes to think her husband loves her, or at least he better if he knows what's good for him...and the husband vice aversa,

But even the strongest love we can have for each other, fails in comparison with Gods love He has for us!

The Father loves the Son extravagantly. He turned everything over to him so he could give it away—a lavish distribution of gifts

God loves you the same way, and He doesn't mind being reminded of it, but more importantly,

He wants you to be reminded and constantly aware of His Love for you!

That's why He said...and made so many promises, so you could easily be reminded of them,

Promise like;

*My Grace is sufficient, for whatever the need is,

*I will direct your steps wherever you may go,

*Even though sometimes you don't think you can, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you

*Even though, at times your not able, I Am always able

*you will never suffer want! because I Will Supply All your needs

*cast all your cares on me! I will always care for you

*I have plans for you, plans to prosper you and not harm you, to give you hope and a future

God wants to have that openness with you, He longs to have that intimacy with you, He doesn't want you to be worried or concerned about anything,

He wants you to be aware of the open communication that is available to Him,

And how much power prayer has and how much power your words possess when they proclaim the promises He has made concerning you! Amen?

Psalm 124 NLV paints a beautiful picture of the power of prayer:

124 “If the Lord had not been on our side,” let Israel say,

2 “If the Lord had not been on our side when men came against us,

3 they would have eaten us up alive. Because their anger burned against us.

4 The waters would have covered us. The river would have passed over our soul.

5 The angry waters would have passed over our soul.”

6 Honor and thanks be to the Lord! He has not let us be torn by their teeth.

7 We have become free like a bird out of a trap. The net is broken and now we are free.

8 Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

Our help is in the promises and the name of The Lord

“God you said I am blessed and cannot be cursed,

*God you said your favor is not for a season but for a life time.”

*God you said, You have made me the head and not the tail!

*God you said you would open the windows of Heaven, if I would bring my tithes into the storehouse!

When you can say, “God you said” all heaven comes to attention. God is faithful to His Word.

The scripture does not say put God in remembrance of our problems but in remembrance of His promise.

Isaiah 62:6,7 MSG

I’ve posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem.

Day and night they keep at it, praying, calling out,

reminding God to remember.

They are to give him no peace until he does what he said,

until he makes Jerusalem famous as the City of Praise.

That's how we should be as well....

When we are going through something, our prayers shouldn't feel like we have to beg Him for our needs to be met,

Oh God, please!... Oh God pretty please! Oh God, if you do this, I promise I'll.....?

When we do that, that so much makes it about us an our performance.

The word says it's okay to remind Him of the promises He has made!

The word says to, in Hebrews 4:16 NKJ

16. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

That's where we find the rest and the nourishment we need, at the throne of Grace, at the feet of Jesus

Matthew 11:28-30 NASB

28 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

If you find yourself carrying the weight of the yoke, ask yourself this simply question,

Why am I doing this again?

Our response should be,

God you said, and because You said it, thats all that matters and that's enough for me!

That's what you should do, drop it like a hot potato and leave it there! Amen?

God will deal with it and believe me, when He does it will bow down to Him and do whatever He tells it to do. amen?

When you pray the promises instead of the problems not only will it change your attitude from a victim to a victor,

but also realize, God’s Word coming out of your mouth is powerful.

When God hears His Word coming out of you, the answers to your needs are dispatched and directed, He sets miracles into motion and He will begin to change things.

It may not happen overnight but stay in faith and keep reminding God what He promised you day in and day out.

Instead of complaining say, “God you said”.

Instead of begging say, “God you said”.

Instead of describing the circumstances, just say, “God you said”.

If you get in a habit of praying God’s promises back to Him, you will see God at work in your life.

Not only will you see Him, but you will be amazed by Him and the Blessings He has for you, when you do!

Amen?

Do you receive it?

Make God first place in your life, he's ready to start taking you places and to new levels you can't even imagine, the moment you do!

And I know He will, because and let me remind you of one last thing,

He who began a good work in you, will be faithful to complete it!

Let's pray
