VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Question: Why are you doing this?

"If anyone asks you, Why are you doing this?"

The LORD has every answer to every questions in this world.

Matthew 21:3 (Amplified Bible)

21:3 If anyone says anything to you, you shall reply, The Lord needs them, and he will let them go without delay.

Luke 19:31 (Amplified Bible)

19:31 If anybody asks you, Why are you untying [it]? you shall say this: Because the Lord has need of it.

Only on the gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke are these shown and not on John. The LORD have given them the answer to a question that will be asked from them and they quickly obeyed it as shown as well.

Mark 11:5-6 (Amplified Bible)

11:5 And some who were standing there said to them, What are you doing, untying the colt?

11:6 And they replied as Jesus had directed them, and they allowed them to go.

It is clear that the owner of the colt will never asked JESUS but those were just standing around. Usually the people around asks a lot of questions but the owner of the house already knows the LORD is the Real Owner and they readily lend it to the LORD.

Deuteronomy 15:6 (Amplified Bible)

15:6 When the Lord your God blesses you as He promised you, then you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; and you shall rule over many nations, but they shall not rule over you.

Deuteronomy 15:8 (Amplified Bible)

15:8 But you shall open your hands wide to him and shall surely lend him sufficient for his need in whatever he lacks.

Luke 6:34-35 (Amplified Bible)

6:34 And if you lend money at interest to those from whom you hope to receive, what quality of credit and thanks is that to you? Even notorious sinners lend money at interest to sinners, so as to recover as much again.

6:35 But love your enemies and be kind and do good [doing favors so that someone derives benefit from them] and lend, expecting and hoping for nothing in return but considering nothing as lost and despairing of no one; and then your recompense (your reward) will be great (rich, strong, intense, and abundant), and you will be sons of the Most High, for He is kind and charitable and good to the ungrateful and the selfish and wicked.

Deuteronomy 28:12 (Amplified Bible)

28:12 The Lord shall open to you His good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain of your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.

Samuel's example: If we are being used by GOD, we are lent or a loan of GOD and He will surely repay us.

1 Samuel 1:28 (Amplified Bible)

1:28 Therefore I have given him to the Lord; as long as he lives he is given to the Lord. And they worshiped the Lord there.

1 Samuel 2:20 (Amplified Bible)

2:20 And Eli would bless Elkanah and his wife and say, May the Lord give you children by this woman for the gift she asked for and gave to the Lord. Then they would go to their own home.

1 Samuel 1:28 (New King James Version)

1:28 Therefore I also have lent him to the Lord; as long as he lives he shall be lent to the Lord." So they worshiped the Lord there.

1 Samuel 2:20 (New King James Version)

2:20 And Eli would bless Elkanah and his wife, and say, "The Lord give you descendants from this woman for the loan that was given to the Lord." Then they would go to their own home.

B. Answer: The LORD needs it, and He will send it back here presently.

"answer, The Lord needs it, and He will send it back here presently"

The LORD GOD does not need anything from us because He owns everything in the first place.

GOD said:

Psalms 50:10 (Amplified Bible)

50:10 For every beast of the forest is Mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills or upon the mountains where thousands are.

The word "need" here came from the Greek word:"chrea" meaning "employment" ,"occasion", "demand", "requirement". So it's like the LORD GOD is our Employer and He's talking to one of his employees, that's us. Opposite the "need" that we are referring to as in "We need the LORD!" To put it bluntly, it's our "duty" and "business" to be used by GOD in the first place, then our things that we own on this earth.

and the LORD will surely return it back.

Luke 6:38 (Amplified Bible)

6:38 Give, and [gifts] will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will they pour into [the pouch formed by] the bosom [of your robe and used as a bag]. For with the measure you deal out [with the measure you use when you confer benefits on others], it will be measured back to you.

When the LORD returns it, it's not in proportioned to what He "borrowed" from us.

IX. CONCLUSION:

Psalms 37:26 (Amplified Bible)

37:26 All day long they are merciful and deal graciously; they lend, and their offspring are blessed.

Psalms 15:5 (Amplified Bible)

15:5 [He who] does not put out his money for nterest [to one of his own people] and who will not take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.
