(Rom. 12:18) “Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;”

3. HAS HEAVENLY MINDFULNESS:

(James 3:17) “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.”

4. IS AWARE OF PRAYFUL ACCOUNTABILITY:

(I Tim 2:1-2) “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.”

3. Some Ingredients for making peace:

A. "A soft answer turns away anger." (Prov. 15:1)

B. Feeling satisfaction at success of others' defeats

C. A generous spirit overcomes covetousness

D. Tongue control prevents evil words.

4. A Peaceful Heart Overcomes:

A. Hostility between people

B. The "air" of atmosphere is cleared of tension

C. Anxiety of the mind

D. Strained relationships

E. Bitter attitudes

5. SOME WAYS WE MAY GROW IN PEACE:

A. We will grow spiritually if we:

1. Listen to the Lord…Holy Spirit.

2. Read God’s Word Systematically.

3. Have Regularly Scheduled Prayer Times.

4. Apply God’s Word Literally in my daily living.

B. Others may grow spiritually if we help them:

1. Praying for them.

2. Show our love and concern for them.

3. Are an example of Christ to them.

4. By not being a hindrance in their growth process.

5. By being eager to help them grow by teaching them.
