Hebrews 8:5 (Amplified Bible)
8:5 [But these offer] service [merely] as a pattern and as a foreshadowing of [what has its true existence and reality in] the heavenly sanctuary. For when Moses was about to erect the tabernacle, he was warned by God, saying, See to it that you make it all [exactly] according to the copy (the model) which was shown to you on the mountain.

Thank You very much JESUS for You are my Tabernacle dwelling in this tent, my body which is the Temple of the HOLY SPIRIT.

VIII. MAIN BODY:
A. Tabernacle is a pattern and a foreshadow
"[But these offer] service [merely] as a pattern and as a foreshadowing of [what has its true existence and reality in] the heavenly sanctuary."
Tabernacle is a shadow, a shade or darkness of error or an example, an exhibit for imitation or warning.
Hebrews 9:9 (Amplified Bible)
9:9 Seeing that that first [outer portion of the] tabernacle was a parable (a visible symbol or type or picture of the present age). In it gifts and sacrifices are offered, and yet are incapable of perfecting the conscience or of cleansing and renewing the inner man of the worshiper.
When JESUS came, JESUS is fully capable of perfecting our conscience, cleansing us from all sins and renewing our inner man. That's we are born again in the New Testament. During the Old Testament, no man can be born again because JESUS is not shown yet.
Hebrews 9:23-24 (Amplified Bible)
9:23 By such means, therefore, it was necessary for the [earthly] copies of the heavenly things to be purified, but the actual heavenly things themselves [required far] better and nobler sacrifices than these.
9:24 For Christ (the Messiah) has not entered into a sanctuary made with [human] hands, only a copy and pattern and type of the true one, but [He has entered] into heaven itself, now to appear in the [very] presence of God on our behalf.

B. Moses was warned that he make everything in the tabernacle according to the pattern shown on the mountain
