VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. CHRIST, the Messiah appeared as High Priest of better things that have come and are to come

"But [that appointed time came] when Christ (the Messiah) appeared as a High Priest of the better things that have come and are to come."

CHRIST, the Messiah appeared as High Priest, because He's always there, He already existed before the foundation of the world, because He is GOD. CHRIST is the High Priest of the New covenant.

Hebrews 2:17 (Amplified Bible)

2:17 So it is evident that it was essential that He be made like His brethren in every respect, in order that He might become a merciful (sympathetic) and faithful High Priest in the things related to God, to make atonement and propitiation for the people’s sins.

Hebrews 3:1 (Amplified Bible)

3:1 SO THEN, brethren, consecrated and set apart for God, who share in the heavenly calling, [thoughtfully and attentively] consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest Whom we confessed [as ours when we embraced the Christian faith].

Hebrews 4:15 (Amplified Bible)

4:15 For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.

B. CHRIST, the Messiah went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with human hands, not part of this material creation

"[Then] through the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with [human] hands, that is, not a part of this material creation,"

The Perfect Tabernacle is His body and Heaven itself, He went thru Heaven by way of ascension with His own blood once and for all people of all times. His body is not part of this material creation because it's not made with human hands (not with human parents) but GOD Himself made this body and prepared as the Perfect Sacrifice.

Hebrews 10:5-7 (Amplified Bible)

10:5 Hence, when He [Christ] entered into the world, He said, Sacrifices and offerings You have not desired, but instead You have made ready a body for Me [to offer];

10:6 In burnt offerings and sin offerings You have taken no delight.

10:7 Then I said, Behold, here I am, coming to do Your will, O God — [to fulfill] what is written of Me in the volume of the Book.

Psalms 40:6-8 (Amplified Bible)

40:6 Sacrifice and offering You do not desire, nor have You delight in them; You have given me the capacity to hear and obey [Your law, a more valuable service than] burnt offerings and sin offerings [which] You do not require.

40:7 Then said I, Behold, I come; in the volume of the book it is written of me;

40:8 I delight to do Your will, O my God; yes, Your law is within my heart.

John 1:14 (Amplified Bible)

1:14 And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us; and we [actually] saw His glory (His honor, His majesty), such glory as an only begotten son receives from his father, full of grace (favor, loving-kindness) and truth.

Made flesh or tabernacled came from the Greek word: "sarx" meaning:

a. flesh (the soft substance of the living body, which covers the bones and is permeated with blood) of both man and beasts

b. the body

c. a living creature (because possessed of a body of flesh) whether man or beast

d. the flesh, denotes mere human nature, the earthly nature of man apart from divine influence, and therefore prone to sin and opposed to God yet without sin.

Word is "logos" in Greek meaning said, topic, where we can get all our rhema (revelations) is from the Person of CHRIST Himself not from human experience or human learning.

Hebrews 8:2 (Amplified Bible)

8:2 As officiating Priest, a Minister in the holy places and in the true tabernacle which is erected not by man but by the Lord.

Hebrews 8:2 (New King James Version)

8:2 a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man.

The LORD JESUS erected His own tent (His own body) and appeared as Minister of the sanctuary. (the body of CHRIST). Our human body is often referred to as "tent" in the Bible.

2 Corinthians 5:4 (Amplified Bible)

5:4 For while we are still in this tent, we groan under the burden and sigh deeply (weighed down, depressed, oppressed)—not that we want to put off the body (the clothing of the spirit), but rather that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal (our dying body) may be swallowed up by life [after the resurrection].

2 Peter 1:13-14 (Amplified Bible)

1:13 I think it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle (tent, body), to stir you up by way of remembrance,

1:14 Since I know that the laying aside of this body of mine will come speedily, as our Lord Jesus Christ made clear to me.

IX. CONCLUSION:

Thank You very much LORD JESUS for You are my High Priest of the New Covenant, of better things still to come. Thank You very much for Your body and blood that saved, made me whole, justified and redeemed me from the curse and powers of the law, sin, death, satan, world, sicknesses and diseases.
