THE NIGHT IS ALMOST OVER -PART 2
ROMANS 13: 11-14
My dear friend, you are welcome again in the hour of the trumpeter. We sincerely thank God for you and your family members who are already in wait for this Godly message. I know you went to Church to worship your God and maker? If you did, God bless you but if you fail this sunday, please make up your mind to go this coming sunday. It’s good to worship God.
So, Now,Remember, it is a moment we are using to digest the word of God in our Spirit man, hear God's instruction for ourselves and then be prepared to meet Him when our journey here on earth is ended.
Really, you should know by now that anything which has a beginning must definitely has an end one day. As I pray for your-well being, I must let us know that our souls are more important to God than anything else. From the word of God, I discovered that Jesus replied to Satan in the book of Luke chapter 4 verse 4, " Food is essential but not the most. For man must survive or live only by every word of God" Mark the word EVERY. It is the standard for living. For anything outside this "every word " is a shadow and an abstract. So we must go for the word always so that we can live.
Remember, last week, we stopped somewhere on our on going topic -of our end time series which is ‘THE NIGHT IS ALMOST OVER’
This is part 2 of the message.
At this point, we should now pray because we have many things to look on as the Holy Spirit directs.
In the Name of Jesus. Amen
God of light and truth. We thank you for the revelation of your word. Sanctify us with your word for it is truth. Use me tonight as a channel and instrument of blessing to my hearer. Impart knowledge and instruct us through many things happening around the world today as we wait for your soon manifestation and appearance. As I decrease, may you increase. Thank you Lord as we pray through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
The topic again is ‘THE NIGHT IS ALMOST OVER’-Part 2
Romans chapter 13 verses 11-14
“And this, knowing the season, that already it is time for you to awake out of sleep: for now is salvation nearer to us than when we first believed. The night is far spent, and the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk becomingly, as in the day; not in revelling and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and jealousy. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof”
You should remember that we stopped at the warning and clarion call of God to His church in this end time, for us to live to our name and responsibility, to know the hour we are living in, as we see that the night is almost spent. We should no longer sleep or slumber thinking we still have all the time. We,also looked at some of our modern lifestyles and characters starting from the Church of Christ to the society, from the pulpit to the pew and we did say, our salvation is drawing more nearer than we expect, and yet we are in deep slumber like Jonah in the boat and Eutychus on top of the wall while a spiritual transaction is going on.
John chapter 9 verse 4;
“We must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work”
There is a time set for the completion of our work and the time is now.
So, enough of apathy and complacency. That is the message of God through his servant, Paul to you and I. There is a warning and challenge for we, the believers in Christ Jesus, who are scattered everywhere today, in the church, government offices, different sectors of life and professions -as a teacher, lawyer, doctor, engineer or police officer. You are representing God where you are.
But how about the unbelieving world who are already dead in sin and iniquity? There is an urgent call to wake up for the Messiah is almost at the door. This time, He will not come as a sacrificial lamb but a reigning judge and king. He has done everything for you and I and so, demands your response,for its getting late already.
It's almost dawn. I mean the night is almost over.
Many things are happening at this time of the night. At night, many activities manifest. I think this was what, one of my friends saw when he preached his powerful message "INJURY TIME"
Friend, the night is almost over.
How do I know this? From many events happening rapidly around us unlike in some past centuries and through the revelation of the word of God which is the basic standard for our life and living.
You know, I mentioned two reasons which spells accurately the hour we are living in. I talked about-
1. The increased apostasy in today's church.
2. The monumental increases in earthquakes, severe and extreme weather patterns, floods, droughts, pestilences and many other natural occurrences which Jesus said, when you see all these things, they are the signs and heralds of my coming. No man knows when He will be back,but as a thief in the night, it may be. So your alertness and preparedness should be your building principle now as and while you do your normal business, You should occupy till He comes.
Now, the signs of His return is here with us.
Watch,and see the cloud already bending. Your salvation is very near more than you think.
Wake up, and sleep no more. I say wake up!
It baffles me that the church,at this time is slumbering when we all need to go out every where,to search the lost and stop warming our benches every fellowship days. This is the moment our preachings are necessary, I mean not diluted or adulterated ones, maybe to please anyone to enrich ourselves and equally displeasing God. In as much as we seek for people's well-being, we must also warn, concerning the judgement waiting a sinful soul.When, we know the terror of God, then we do what? -we PERSUADE MEN to turn to the Lord now. God is a merciful God but also,a consuming fire!
The number 3 sign,for us to watch for -as we see the night almost spent is what Jesus tells us as He answered his people concerning the end. This is the message of the parable of the fig tree in Luke chapter 21 in verses 29-33
“ And he spake to them a parable: Behold the fig tree, and all the trees:
when they now shoot forth, ye see it and know of your own selves that the summer is now nigh. Even so ye also, when ye see these things coming to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all things be accomplished. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away”
Here, Jesus was referring to the nation of Israel as the fig tree. And so you should know that the fig tree has already shot out, by the reason of the covenant nation of Israel getting their independence in May 14th 1948. The national anthem and flag of the city of Zion were sang and mounted for the first time in history. Thank God for the men that He used for the miracle. A man like Lord Balfour in his declaration for Israel independence, and so from that moment,they were gathered from all over the earth, where they were scattered. Really, it was a miracle and so Jesus said, watch! Watch! -Watch what? This fig tree and its survival.
Child of God hearing my voice, the summer is near. When you hear and see all these things..Jesus said, this generation shall not pass. I believe by next episode, we may look at this word, " this generation" Which one and what is a generation? is it 20years, 40years, 70years or 120 years? Well, we shall look into it next time, and according to the leadership of the Holy Spirit,but in summary,The Lord authoritatively said, "Heaven and earth SHALL pass away BUT my words, shall not pass away.
Halleluyah!
Have you seen it? Yes, a nation has been born in a day according to prophecy but there is another thing, which is, a much hatred against this apple of God’s eye. We are also seeing the worldwide hatred against the people of Israel for no other reason, than they are Jews. I thank God for many peace resolutions going on for the Jews and her neighbor today.In short, as I minister to you now,there is a peace negotiation going on-where the US Secretary of State believed and said,that this may be the final one or the positive one for the peace resolution and negotiation about Jewish settlement or what not -but remember, my listener,it's only Jesus, the Prince of peace that should reign. He already foretold in his word, " When you hear peace and safety, peace and safety- watch out- Destruction is coming!
Well, I don't know where you are hearing my voice- It's time to wake up and sleep no more. Read the handwriting on the wall. As you do your business or whatsoever, do it in righteousness. The night is almost over.
So, what am I saying?
Satan hates God’s people absolutely . Why? When there is a revelation, there is always opposition. Because it is through the Jewish nation that God showed himself to man. It was through them that Jesus came down here to set in motion God’s plan of salvation, conceived from the foundation of the world so that a sinner hearing my voice now can share in the glory of God.
But do you know that those who hate children of God or shun God and his people are fools. No wonder, you see many anti- Semitism going on now. Anti-semitism is hatred against the Jews. Are you hearing me?
But let me say this, if you hate the Jews, you are doing yourself more harm than good. So better identify with them,for anyone who blesses them are blessed and anyone who curse them are judged. The world should leave them alone.
Israel is being blamed for the woes of the Palestine people and so many European countries are refusing to purchase Israeli goods on the world market in protest against her alleged abusive treatment of the Palestinian people. Well, I don't know what you believe but the truth is that the Word of God must stand and surely come to pass.
God said to Abraham in Genesis chapter 12 verses 2-3
“And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make they name great; and be thou a blessing: and I will bless them that bless thee, and him that curseth thee will I curse: and in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed”
This is where I stand. The people of the covenant are blessed forever...Halleluyah!
It's nearly dawn. The night is almost over!
4. The rampant cases of global awakening through wars and conflicts.
The global awakenings through war and conflicts!
It must interest you to know that from 1900 till date, the amount of hostilities and conflicts seen in our world have not been seen before since creation of this great floating ship which is our titanic- the world. You know as I'm speaking now, many nations of the world are at logger heads with each other.In short, many of them are preparing seriously. Now, the nations in the Middle East are at it. Syria is on the verge of an apocalyptic event prophesied thousands and thousands of years ago. If you are in doubt, read the book of Isaiah chapter 17 where Bible says that Damascus will be destroyed. Now, Russia is beginning to maneuver itself into position off the coast of Syria, and also, her problem with Ukrain. You can read Ezekiel chapter 38 and 39 about the war that the Word of God prophesied. Today, you hear of Iran or North Korea developing nuclear weapons. They are no longer news.
Please, always listen to news and see where the world is going. I know there is time for everything but Jesus knows it all and always tell you, Watch, watch and watch always!
You can see some global awakenings going on. Do you think, it is in vain?Now, you see some national brotherhoods in the Middle East fighting each other for a reason, trying to consolidate regional power and to destroy the people of the covenant. But don't worry, God won't let that happen. David saw this ahead of time and said, God laughs.
Psalms chapter 2 verses 1-6;
“ Why do the nations rage, And the peoples meditate a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against Jehovah, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bonds asunder, And cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens will laugh: The Lord will have them in derision.
Then will he speak unto them in his wrath, And vex them in his sore displeasure: Yet I have set my king Upon my holy hill of Zion”
David started by saying, why? Why? You see that this task is impossible and yet you want to put your hand there. Why?
Friend, God laughs!
If you are a Child of God, thus says the spirit of The Lord, God shall at every ragings against you in the name of Jesus. Amen.
The 5th sign to watch in this episode of this message, as we see that we are at the time to say, the night is far spent is;
THE RAMPANT FILTH AND CORRUPTION RUNNING IN OUR SOCIETY TODAY.
I think I mentioned some of these things when I preached in the radio station, the message " Before the flood, Part 1 & 2. It's all about the days before the destruction of the first world through flood.
Our world is like the world of Noah which was characterized by perversion, pleasure, prosperity, pride, polygamy and pollution. So, the rampant filth and corruption going on in our lives, society even families today should open our eyes the more. Some countries now have taken gay lifestyles as a normal way of life, accusing the Christians of being "intolerant" while in actuality, the accusers are the ones that are intolerant of Christians. Inshort, in some weeks ago, I read a foreign journal where some people in authority in overseas persuaded David Cameroon, the prime minister of Britain to cancel the Olympic Games which were staged or hosted by Russia. What were their basic reason? The city is intolerant and have passed a bill against gays in the land. So they insisted that their rainbow flag must be hoisted at Russia or the Olympic be taken some other place-they don't care! It was a great battle.
What am I saying? filth and corruption is everywhere in our society now. The society are jamming their so called"alternate lifestyles" down the throats of our children and indoctrinating them to believe that this perverse lifestyle is okay, even preferred.
I see the book of Romans description of a reprobate mind in chapter 1 applicable here.
I pity the youths of our generation because eight out of ten are in Satanic net already. They have entered,and to come out now is a tug of war. If you a Christian listening to me, please and please, always pray for our youths. What is happening? Many are already frustrated because of the lifestyles they have contacted through the social media, and chatting with different spirits, knowledge through the computer, handsets and other modern devices. If you already hooked as a youth, I pray that God will deliver you. It’s not yet over with you. Wake up and rise! You can still make it in life through Christ Jesus. He is your help, your hope and your deliverer.
I think I should stop here for today,and conclude this explosive series next week.I'm telling you, by the special Grace of God, He will open our eyes more and more for us to stand for the truth.
Wake up, my friend, wake up. You cannot live in this world forever. This is a testing and preparation ground.
I'm following Brother Paul to encourage you.Your salvation is nearer now than you expect.So, If you are unbeliever, you should ask yourself a question. How long can I continue like this? A business you are doing for many years- I mean your lifestyle and character of many years without any gain, why can't I change?Leave Satan alone and he will leave you alone. There is no gain in prostitution, fornication, lies, cheating, adultery and other vices. They will lead you to hell.
But you still have hope. You can say no to sin today,to immorality and Satanic evils by surrendering your life to Jesus Christ. He will protect you. He will help you and prosper you beyond your imagination.
In the next concluding series, I will round up with the solution proffered by Paul. What You have to put off and to put on but for now-
Are you ready to give Jesus Christ your life now for time waits for no one?
I will like you to pray this simple but powerful prayer and believe it in your heart.
"Lord Jesus, I come to you today by faith. I'm a sinner and I can't save myself. I have heard your word and discovered that I need your mercy and forgiveness. Come into my life and be my Lord and personal savior.Forgive me all my sins. I reject self and the world and hereby promise to worship you sincerely. Thank you Lord for saving me today. Amen
I now pray for you.
Lord, I pray for my listener who had prayed this prayer now. Please accept him into your kingdom. Forgive all iniquities and transgression and give him or her a new life to live for you. Thank You Lord for we pray in Jesus Name
My friend, thank you for the new life you have received in Christ today. Congratulation and begin to study the Word on daily basis and ask the Holy Spirit to help you with His understanding always. You may begin with the gospel of John and fellowship with other believers in Christ for your growth.
