THE BIRDS THAT ARE AFTER YOUR DESTINY

GENESIS 15:7-11; ECCLESIASTES 10:7

“And he said unto him, I am Jehovah that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it. And he said, O Lord Jehovah, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it? And he said unto him, Take me a heifer three years old, and a she-goat three years old, and a ram three years old, and a turtle-dove, and a young pigeon. And he took him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each half over against the other: but the birds divided he not. And the birds of prey came down upon the carcasses, and Abram drove them away” (GENESIS 15:7-11)

ECCLESIASTES 10:7

“ I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking like servants upon the earth”

The man Abraham called by God was confused about the future. God made a promise conceerning his destiny but demanded a sacrifice. Destiny can be procured and secured by the power of sacrifice. He complied but strange birds came to fight against the sacrifice - channel of his destiny. At his old age, fought against these birds. He drove them away. We have many Satanic vultures fighting over our destinies. We should not allow them.

However, If these birds succeed, the result was what Solomon saw – (Ecclesiastes 10:7)

God had ordained that you be a prince and one to be a blessing to your generation but the enemy wants you be a servant. These birds want to overrule what God has ordained for you.

The birds that came for this sacrifice were Vultures.

Their aim today,is to take you by surprise and see that you are not where you ought to be.

Many physical objects have spiritual counterparts.

Spiritually, these birds are many things or characters which seek to devour spiritual destinies in a life. You must chase them away to secure your destiny and future.

WHAT ARE THESE BIRDS?

1. Self.

This bird has devoured many destinies too. As some people are making some sacrifices to see God bless them, thIs bird is seriously fighting to make one a slave.

i. Self made a king to leave his throne by punishment and became animal (King Nebuchadnezzar-Daniel 4:28-33)

ii. Self made a king turned to leprous after much achievement( King Uzziah-2 Chronicles 26:16-23)

iii. Self made God close a womb permanently after her mockery (Michal-2 Samuel 6:16-23)

2. Pride

This bird looks hideous. Watch the word, 'I' at the center.

I. Pride made the anointed cherub to be wingless (Lucifer-Ezekiel 28:11-19)

ii. Pride made a king eaten by a worm after great speech (Herod-Acts 12:20-25)

iii. Pride made a rich man called 'a fool' by God (Luke 12:13-21)

God is highly annoyed with this bird.

(2 chronicle 32:25)

b. The houses of the proud are torn by God –(Proverb 15:25)

c. God has marked their days –(Isaiah 2:12)

f. God opposes them – (James 4:6)

g. Destruction follows the proud – (Proverb 11:2, 16:18)

b. Esau regretted because of this. A destiny was changed for an ordinary bowl of food. (Genesis 25:32-34)

c. This made a great king to see a woman bathing, and attracted sword in his household (King David- 2 Samuel 11)

4. Life of disobedience

This bird works by a little deception. Disobedience has placed some people wrongly today

a. The first parents were chased out from their happiness by this bird

b. This bird de-robed the first king of a great nation on earth.

There is nothing tragic than to forfeit ones destiny

5. Immoral living

This bird is flying so high now, always smelling a dead animal

This bird has swallowed many destinies

a. It made a prince to lose his position for defiling his father's couch (Reuben)

b. It made a nation to be attacked by the enemy after many years of trial (Israel nation during the Balaam, Balak episode)

c. It made a warrior to die with his enemies (Samson)

There is a department in the kingdom of darkness known as destiny manipulators. Just as Herod was seeking to kill Jesus and massacred little ones or Pharaoh massacred (little doctors, engineers in the making) hope of nation before Moses surfaced are the ways they work to trap people. They are serpents on top of apple waiting for suckers.

THEIR STRATEGIES

1. Ignorance

To make you not to recognise why God brought you here.

Ignorant of your destiny brings suffering

Daniel and Joseph followed theirs.

2. Manipulation

They manipulate by robbery and shift the person, to become hewer of wood and drawer of water

3. Delusion

This is through deception and misleading the person. The person will begin to do wrong things. They follow the person around. They make a person confused and direction less.

If you don't know what God has for you, these spiritual vultures will scatter your sacrifice and rob you your destiny and then, servants will take up your horse and you begin to walk on the ground. Change their thoughts now!

YOUR VICTORY COMES:

1. Decide for God today

2. Ask God to reveal your true self to you

3. Be determine to chase away these enemies of destiny

4. Disconnect from anything which annoys God

5. Stand for God always

6. Always walk in total holiness and integrity

7. Make Heaven your goal.
