My favorite Duck Dynasty phrase is HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY! But why are the Robertsons so Happy?
Is it because they are rich?
1 Timothy 6:17-19 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.
They are blessed not because they have money, but because they give

So what happens when we place our trust in these things?

Could they be happy because they are so popular?
• Phil didn’t seek the spotlight, he quit football to provide for his family and his position was then handed to Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw
• His popularity came as being known as the Billy Graham of Duck Hunting
• Even with his tremendous influence, he was attacked by the media and kicked off the show for standing for his Biblical values.
Matthew 6:33 seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
What would have happened if his Happiness were a result of his relationship with Jesus but because of his popularity?

Could their happiness be because they have such an awesome family?
• Every family has a mother and a father
• They got that crazy uncle who makes everyone laugh
• They all have a bunch of cousins to play with
• They sit down together and have family meals
• They all go to church together
• THIS WOULD MAKE ANYONE HAPPY!!!
The reason this family is so close and so happy is because of this!
• Stands up CROSS- nobody can shoot this down!

• Doubts
But you got to cut this stuff loose and place your trust in God!

IN CLOSING: Are you happy? Is your joy from the Lord or is it in the things you own? Things of this world will perish, but what is done for God lasts 4ever!
