Summary: The Vision of God that prompt us to Worship

Question: What comes to mind when you think about God?

We will deeply worship when we begin to see God as He is!

The Vision of God that prompt us to Worship:

1. God’s gracious self-revelation. Isaiah 6:1 “It was in the year King Uzziah died that I saw the Lord.” (NLT)

Key: Self-revelation

General Revelation. Romans 1:19-20

Special Revelation. 2 Peter 1:20-21 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Personal Revelation. John 14:9 Colossians 1:15 & Hebrews 1:1-3

John 1:18 “No one has ever seen God. The One and Only Son the One who is at the Father’s side—He has revealed Him.” (HCSB)

2. God’s great Sovereignty. Isaiah 6:1-3 “He was sitting on a lofty throne, and the train of his robe filled the Temple. Attending him were mighty seraphim, each having six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew. They were calling out to each other, “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of Heaven’s Armies! The whole earth is filled with his glory!” (NLT)

“The church today is imperiled by what it thinks it understands.” Warren Wiersbe

Three Indicators:

His Throne! Reminding us that God is all powerful.

His Train Filled Robe! Reminding us that God is immense.

His Testimony! Reminding us that God is “Holy”!

3. God’s Glorious Splendor. Isaiah 6:4 “Their voices shook the Temple to its foundations, and the entire building was filled with smoke.” (NLT)

Two defining words that relate to God’s Nature:

Idolatry: to make God other than He is!

Exodus 20:4 “Do not make an idol for yourself,” (HCSB)

Immutable: God never changes!

“God cannot change for the better. He is never less holy or more holy.” A. W. Tozer

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (NKJV)

God’s love is without End!
