Proverbs 14:23 (Amplified Bible)
14:23 In all labor there is profit, but idle talk leads only to poverty.

Praise, worship and thank You very much, LORD JESUS for we focus our eyes on You the Author and Finisher of our faith and You will work for us to prosper us in every area of our lives.

VIII. MAIN BODY:
A. Work hard for profit
"In all labor there is profit,"
We no longer work hard for working hard and labor is part of the curse.
Genesis 3:19 (Amplified Bible)
3:19 In the sweat of your face shall you eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you shall return.
What we do, is rely on the blessing of the LORD remembering the LORD who has given us the power to get wealth.
Proverbs 10:22 (Amplified Bible)
10:22 The blessing of the Lord—it makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it].
Deuteronomy 8:18 (Amplified Bible)
8:18 But you shall [earnestly] remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
2 Corinthians 8:9 (Amplified Bible)

Labor or "etseb" in the Hebrew means:
1. earthen vessel
2. toil
3. pang (of body or mind)
4. grievous, idol, labor, sorrow
The word "etseb" is the same Hebrew word used in Proverbs 10:22, meaning the LORD will give us His blessings and we don't have to work, toil, sorrow, be grievous about it, and the blessing of the LORD will require no catch at all, that is "sorrow". When people labor, they prove that they only mind the things of the earth.

1:21 For when the world with all its earthly wisdom failed to perceive and recognize and know God by means of its own philosophy, God in His wisdom was pleased through the foolishness of preaching [salvation, procured by Christ and to be had through Him], to save those who believed (who clung to and trusted in and relied on Him).

7:34 And he is drawn in diverging directions [his interests are divided and he is distracted from his devotion to God]. And the unmarried woman or girl is concerned and anxious about the matters of the Lord, how to be wholly separated and set apart in body and spirit; but the married woman has her cares [centered] in earthly affairs—how she may please her husband.

These earthen vessels only mind and focus on the things of men and not the things of GOD.

2:10 Yet to us God has unveiled and revealed them by and through His Spirit, for the [Holy] Spirit searches diligently, exploring and examining everything, even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God [the divine counsels and things hidden and beyond man’s scrutiny].
2:11 For what person perceives (knows and understands) what passes through a man’s thoughts except the man’s own spirit within him? Just so no one discerns (comes to know and comprehend) the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
2. Divine counsels

5. Things of men are satanic and not godly

Illustration:
For example, fathers usually go to church with their family every Sunday, but for an unknown satanic reasons, the boss offered him a job on Sundays with triple pay, and the father will have to leave his family on church and go to work every Sundays. The enemy found a reason to distract the head of the family to not go to church and esteemed going to work on Sundays, in bible lingo, that's when job or work becomes labor, yeah that will give you profit or gain, but it never promised you that it will make you rich.
If you're a father who's minding the things of GOD, then you will politely say to your boss, "I need the money so can you give me the money on Mondays instead and I'll work for you double, but please don't touch my Sundays it's already consecrated to GOD. And all fathers will say "AMEN!"
As a father as well, I'll go with the blessing of the LORD that will make me rich with no labor added to it rather than just tiny profits or tiny gain here and there.

B. Idle talk for poverty
"but idle talk leads only to poverty"
Hard work is needed only if you are prone to talk and talk all day but no work at all. This is equivalent with laziness, the only difference is lazy people sleep all day.

28:22 He who has an evil and covetous eye hastens to be rich and knows not that want will come upon him.
Proverbs 21:5 (Amplified Bible)
21:5 The thoughts of the [steadily] diligent tend only to plenteousness, but everyone who is impatient and hasty hastens only to want.
This is like hard work from Monday to Wednesday but all sleep from Thursday to Saturday. There's no accomplishment and progress to it. You might as well work a little that is sustainable. Rejoice/pray hard, worship harder.
