WHY DO PEOPLE FACE A HOLY DISSATISFACTION?

Dissatisfaction... make discontented, lacking contentment, restlessness, lack of ease, distress,
Finding no rest or peace, uneasy, agitated, tense, nervous.
I. MY FRIEND WE NEED THE HOLY SPIRIT TO BEGIN A NEW WORK OF A HOLY DISSATIFACTION
OF WHERE WE ARE... YOU DON'T NEED TO MOVE, YOU DON'T NEED A NEW FAMILY, YOU NEED
A BRAND NEW APPRECIATION AND ATTITUDE ... WE NEED A PATTERN OF THINKING. A CHANGE
OF BEHAVIOR, SPEAKING NEW POWERFUL WORDS OF AGREEMENT.
MOST PEOPLE SEEM TO BE SATISFIED TO STAY THE SAME.
HOW INSANE IS IT TO EXPPECT THINGS TO CHANGE AND BE DIFFERENT WHEN WE
ARE CONTENT TO STAY THE SAME... IF YOU STAY THE SAME, YOUR PROBLEMS AND
TRIALS WILL TEND TO BE CIRCLUAR, YOU WILL NEVER BREAK FREE...
Psalm 63:1 A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.
O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in
a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
[2] To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
A. BIBLICALLY SPEAKING WE CAN FALL INTO SEVERAL CLASSIFICATIONS...
1. WE CAN BE FRUIT TREES (Bearing good fruit) or we can be FIRE WOOD, that will burn
to ashes...
2. We can have GREAT ZEAL and ENTHUSIAM or we can operate in APATHY, LUKEWARMNESS
or COLD AND INDIFFERENCE.
3. We can search for PLEASURE IN TOYS and GAMES, or we can INVEST IN BENEFITAL TOOLS
that will help us accomplish God's work.
4. We can pride ourselves in PRETTY TRINKETS OF WORTHLESS ORNAMENT and POPULARITY
and APPLAUSE that is mere vanity. Or we can invest our TIME, TALENTS, and EFFORTS in GREAT
ETERNAL TREASURES.
B. When an eagle senses a storm is approaching it launches off it's nest and flies above the storm,
until the storm passes.
II. MY FRIEND, I WILL TELL YOU WHEN YOU WILL CHANGE... MY PROPHETIC SKILLS, JUST
LIFE LESSONS... WILL WILL CHANGE WHEN THE PAIN OF STAYING THE SAME IS GREATER
THE THE PAIN OF STAYING THE SAME... WHY SHOULD YOU WAIT FOR PAIN DRIVEN CHANGE?
WHY NOT COME AND SUBMIT TO GOD'S PLAN OF GROWTH.
Matthew 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the
power of God.
A. When I was a boy I would have a pain and I would run to Mom. Mom kiss the place of pain and then
say: SON, IT IS A GROWING PAIN...
B. Every growing church has GROWING PAIN. Every people problem has a solution. Part of the solution
is having GREAT PATIENCE. The other part is an "HOLY DISSATISFACTION" with a deep knowledge
of the word of God and standing on the power the word has...
C. YOU, MY FRIEND HAVE THE KEYS,
III. MY FRIEND DO YOU REALIZE YOU ARE NOT THE PROBLEM--- YOU, YOUR TEAM AND GOD ARE
THE SOLUTION... YOU DETERMINE HOW FAR FROM GOD YOU WILL DO HIS WORK...
James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners;
and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
A. SEVERAL WEAKNESS WITHIN THE CAMP OF GOD HINDER SPIIRITUAL PROGRESS...
A. Unfaithfulness
B. The tendency to blame others and no one taking OWNERSHIP or RESPONSIBILITY.
C. There is a real lack of VISION and COMMITMENT, so we shall stay here...
Sometimes we have to be here to get there, but with God's plan we can not stay here.
D. We have a lack of REAL SPIRITUAL DESIRE and HUNGER...
Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
E. SOME HAVE GROWN THE ATTITUDE OF GREENER PASTURES, AND ARE NOT WILLING TO
PUT THEIR SHOULDER TO THE PLOW. If the yard is greener some has a higher water bill.
IV. A LAZY FAT CAT WILL NEVER MAKE A GOOD MOUSER... WHERE IS THE EXPECTANCY OF
GOD'S REVIVAL... ???
HURT, BITTERNESS, PAIN, AND DISAPPOINTMENT SEEM TO BE DRIVING MANY CHRISTIAN
WORKERS...
A. THE CHURCH CAN NEVER ARISE TO ALLOW GOD'S PLAN TO THRIVE AS LONG AS THE
GARBAGE CANS ARE MOLDED AND STINKING...
Matthew 24:10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
B. We must COME TOGETHER IN LOVE AND UNITY...
THERE IS POWER IN AGREEMENT--- THERE IS DEMONIC ACTIVITY IN DIISAGREEMENT...
James 4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye
have not, because ye ask not.
[3] Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
C.MY DEAR FRIEND, WE HAVE THE KEYS...
Matthew 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt
bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed
in heaven.
V. THE WORLD HAS MADE ENOUGH SPORT AND MOCKERY OF ME... ARISE O, GOD...
THERE WAS A STRONG MAN OF GOD DOING THE WORK OF AN ANIMAL, ONE DAY HE
WOKE UP AND SAY ENOUGH OF THIS... THE ENEMY HAS MOCKED ME ENOUGH... SAMSON'S
HOLY DISSATISFICATION LAUNCHED HIM INTO ACTION... HERE BOY--- TAKE ME...
A. SAMSON HAD FAILED GOD, BUT THERE WAS STILL VICTORY WHEN A HOLY DISSATISFACTION
AROSE IN HIS SPIRIT...
Judges 16:25 And it came to pass, when their hearts were merry, that they said, Call for Samson, that he may
make us sport. And they called for Samson out of the prison house; and he made them sport: and they set
him between the pillars.
[26] And Samson said unto the lad that held him by the hand, Suffer me that I may feel the pillars whereupon
the house standeth, that I may lean upon them.
[27] Now the house was full of men and women; and all the lords of the Philistines were there; and there were
upon the roof about three thousand men and women, that beheld while Samson made sport.
[28] And Samson called unto the Lord, and said, O Lord God, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me,
I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.
B. God can use less than perfect people...
C. WHY DID SAMSON ALLOW FAILURE TO CAUSE HIM TO PRAY ONLY THIS ONCE...
God could have used Samson more...
VI. FRIEND, DO YOU WANT TO SEE WHAT MIRACLES HOLY DISSATISFICATION CAN BRING...
LET US ASKED A MAN THAT WAS WARNED SET YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER BUDDY, THE SHOW
IS OVER FOR YOU...
A. The King was in the GOOD BOY'S CLUB, nothing of real spiritual value was being accomplished.
Isaiah 38:1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto
him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.
B. Hezekiah knew enough to take the MESSAGE and not rebel... nor resist...
C. HEZEKIAH SET HIS FACE TO THE WALL...
What does it mean to set your FACE TO THE WALL???
Isaiah 38:4 Then came the word of the Lord to Isaiah, saying,
[5] Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer,
I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.
D. Holy Dissatisfaction turned ONE NIGHT into 15 years.
VII. THERE WAS A MAN THAT WAS KNOW AS A SUBPLANTER, A CHEATER, TELLING WHITE
LIES ... HE GOT SICK OF HIMSELF, WHEN HOLY DISSATISFATION SET IN ---
IN ONE NIGHT HE WILL BE FOREVER CHANGED...
A. JACOB LIVED IN A DISFUNCTIONAL HOME.
There was strife between Mom and Dad, THERE WAS GREAT WAR WITH HIS BROTHER...
B. THERE WAS THE CHOICE OF DEATH OR RUN FOR YOUR LIFE...
C. THERE IS AN ALL NIGHT FIGHT...
Genesis 32:24 And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.
[25] And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow
of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.
[26] And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.
[27] And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.
[28] And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with

D. THERE WAS A COST ASSOCIATED WITH THE CHANGE...
ISRAEL --- PRINCE WITH POWER WITH GOD AND MEN... ISRAEL WILL HAVE A LIMP THE REST
OF HIS DAYS...
VIII. GOD HAD A WONDERFUL PROMISE FOR HIS PEOPLE, EGPYT HAD BECOME HOME,
THEY WERE SATISFIED AS SLAVES, GOD TURNED THINGS AROUND IN A HOLY DISSATISFACTION...
A. THEY WOULD HAVE TO HATE EGYPT TO LEAVE IT...
Exodus 5:7 Ye shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather
straw for themselves.
B. GOD GOT HIS PEOPLE OUT OF EGYPT IN ONE NIGHT,
IT TOOK 40 YEARS TO GGET EGYPT OUT OF GOD'S PEOPLE...
Numbers 11:5 We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons,
and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:
IX. HISTORY IS FULL OF PEOPLE THAT HAD A HOLY DISATISFACTION WITH THE CONDITIONS
WHERE THEY WERE AND THEY AROSE TO FIGHT FOR GOD'S PLAN...
Psalm 68:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm or Song of David.
Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.
A. NAAMAN GOT SICK OF BEING SICK... God sent a little slave girl with the answer...
Naaman loaded up his stuff, and headed toward HIS MIRACLE...
B. There was a woman that had been sick 12 years, spent all and the doctors and grew worse...
ONE DAY SHE GOT UP AND SAID I AM GOING TO TOUCH JESUS TODAY....
C. Peter denied Jesus, he cried and cried, he repented and changed...
Peter preached the first message after Pentecost... WHAT MEANTH THIS...
Isaiah 35:1 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice,
and blossom as the rose.
[2] It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be
given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the
excellency of our God.
[3] Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.

DISSATISFACTION THAT WILL LAUNCH YOUR BOAT OUT INTO THE DEEP TO CATCH MORE FISHES?
