G. Key word: Remember

H. Key verses:

Deuteronomy 6:1-4 (Amplified Bible)

6:1 NOW THIS is the instruction, the laws, and the precepts which the Lord your God commanded me to teach you, that you might do them in the land to which you go to possess it,

6:2 That you may [reverently] fear the Lord your God, you and your son and your son’s son, and keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged.

6:3 Hear therefore, O Israel, and be watchful to do them, that it may be well with you and that you may increase exceedingly, as the Lord, the God of your fathers, has promised you, in a land flowing with milk and honey.

6:4 Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God is one Lord [the only Lord].

VIII. MAIN BODY:

Proverbs 1:8 (Amplified Bible)

1:8 My son, hear the instruction of your father; reject not nor forsake the teaching of your mother.

Instruction or "musar" in Hebrew means:

1. chastisement - correction; punishment; pain inflicted for punishment and correction, either by stripes or otherwise.

2. reproof, warning or instruction; also restraint

3. bond, chastening, chastisement, check, correction, discipline, doctrine, instruction, rebuke

Teaching or "torah torah" in Hebrew means:

1. precept or statute

2. Decalogue or Pentateuch: - law

Teaching is already established long before mother can teach it. Father has the sole responsibility of creating from conception the family's law and doctrine, and all the mother can do is teach it, enforce with love to her children.

A. JESUS has given me all things.

"Only take heed, and guard your life diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes have seen and lest they depart from your [mind and] heart all the days of your life."

The signature "Aleph-Tav" is in between "forget" and "the things". If JESUS is not on the things you desire, forget it, just remember JESUS. This is the correct placement of JESUS - He is in the center of all things and us.

Forget = JESUS = the things.

When it's like this Forget = the things = JESUS, the things in our life become our idols and thorns, that stands in the way of GOD and us.

Luke 8:14 (Amplified Bible)

8:14 And as for what fell among the thorns, these are [the people] who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked and suffocated with the anxieties and cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not ripen (come to maturity and perfection).

Remember all things are not beneficial for us, only things that will benefit us, GOD had already given them to us.

We received grace after grace, blessing after spiritual blessing, favor after favor and gift after gift.

John 1:16 (Amplified Bible)

1:16 For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift.

We have been bestowed all things that are requisite of this life and godliness. We need to live in godly contentment like Paul.

2 Peter 1:3-4 (Amplified Bible)

1:3 For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).

1:4 By means of these He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them you may escape [by flight] from the moral decay (rottenness and corruption) that is in the world because of covetousness (lust and greed), and become sharers (partakers) of the divine nature.

1 Timothy 6:6 (Amplified Bible)

6:6 [And it is, indeed, a source of immense profit, for] godliness accompanied with contentment (that contentment which is a sense of inward sufficiency) is great and abundant gain.

We are already blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm.

Ephesians 1:3 (Amplified Bible)

1:3 May blessing (praise, laudation, and eulogy) be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) Who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual (given by the Holy Spirit) blessing in the heavenly realm!

GOD has equipped us everything good to carry out His good will for us.

Hebrews 13:21 (Amplified Bible)

13:21 Strengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; [while He Himself] works in you and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ (the Messiah); to Whom be the glory forever and ever (to the ages of the ages). Amen (so be it).

The Blessor and the blessing of the LORD is both JESUS. Let the things you now own give glory, honor and praise to the LORD our GOD.

1 Corinthians 10:31 (The Message)

10:31 So eat your meals heartily, not worrying about what others say about you—you're eating to God's glory, after all, not to please them. As a matter of fact, do everything that way, heartily and freely to God's glory.

B. Teach JESUS to your children and children's children

"Teach them to your children and your children’s children—"

Fathers are expected to rear their children in the training, discipline, counsel and admonition of the LORD.

Ephesians 6:4 (The Message)

6:4 Fathers, don't exasperate your children by coming down hard on them. Take them by the hand and lead them in the way of the Master.

Ephesians 6:4 (Amplified Bible)

6:4 Fathers, do not irritate and provoke your children to anger [do not exasperate them to resentment], but rear them [tenderly] in the training and discipline and the counsel and admonition of the Lord.

Fathers have the responsibilities of making known to his children GOD's faithfulness and GOD's Truth - JESUS CHRIST.

Isaiah 38:19 (Amplified Bible)

38:19 The living, the living—they shall thank and praise You, as I do this day; the father shall make known to the children Your faithfulness and Your truth.

King Solomon as a father talks to his son, teaching him.

Proverbs 23:26 (Amplified Bible)

23:26 My son, give me your heart and let your eyes observe and delight in my ways,

See and read all his teachings to his son:

Proverbs 4:1-13 (Amplified Bible)

4:1 HEAR, MY sons, the instruction of a father, and pay attention in order to gain and to know intelligent discernment, comprehension, and interpretation [of spiritual matters].

4:2 For I give you good doctrine [what is to be received]; do not forsake my teaching.

4:3 When I [Solomon] was a son with my father [David], tender and the only son in the sight of my mother [Bathsheba],

4:4 He taught me and said to me, Let your heart hold fast my words; keep my commandments and live.

4:5 Get skillful and godly Wisdom, get understanding (discernment, comprehension, and interpretation); do not forget and do not turn back from the words of my mouth.

4:6 Forsake not [Wisdom], and she will keep, defend, and protect you; love her, and she will guard you.

4:7 The beginning of Wisdom is: get Wisdom (skillful and godly Wisdom)! [For skillful and godly Wisdom is the principal thing.] And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension, and interpretation).

4:8 Prize Wisdom highly and exalt her, and she will exalt and promote you; she will bring you to honor when you embrace her.

4:9 She shall give to your head a wreath of gracefulness; a crown of beauty and glory will she deliver to you.

4:10 Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings, and the years of your life shall be many.

4:11 I have taught you in the way of skillful and godly Wisdom [which is comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God]; I have led you in paths of uprightness.

4:12 When you walk, your steps shall not be hampered [your path will be clear and open]; and when you run, you shall not stumble.

4:13 Take firm hold of instruction, do not let go; guard her, for she is your life.

As a son, we need the instruction of our father, and the teaching of our mother.

Proverbs 1:8 (Amplified Bible)

1:8 My son, hear the instruction of your father; reject not nor forsake the teaching of your mother.

IX. CONCLUSION:

I'm speaking to fathers like me, if your father never taught you an instruction and teaching of the LORD, then don't blame the father, do it yourself, remind yourself of GOD and break the cycle of tradition, teach your children and children's children. If your work hinders you and limits your time with your children, then resign, this work is not a blessing from the LORD, it's labor and hard work already, remember the LORD is the One working to prosper your family not you, your place is by the side of your children, for your children are your real wealth in this world and not money.

Psalms 127:3 (Amplified Bible)

127:3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.

Deuteronomy 28:4 (Amplified Bible)

28:4 Blessed shall be the fruit of your body and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your beasts, the increase of your cattle and the young of your flock.

Father's prayer:

Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You are Blessor and Giver of all things and this as a father I will pass to my children.

Mother's prayer:

Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS, for You remind my husband to teach everything that He learned from You, and I will, by Your Grace and Strength enforce and follow it all up on our children.
