Human beings are usually evaluated on the work that they have performed. Performance evaluation is the staple of modern workplace. In Mark 7:37 we read “People were overwhelmed with amazement. “He has done everything well”, they said. What has Jesus done very well? If we look beyond the scope of the deaf hear and the mute speak, we have an amazing savior. Let us find out more about what Jesus has done well.

Let us read Isaiah 9:6

“6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

1. Wonderful

Jesus is the most wonderful savior. He is son of God and son of man. His inception was by the Holy Spirit. Compared to any king, philosopher, astronomer or ruler, He is the king of kings and Lord of Lords. Isaiah 25:1 “O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.” John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

The only way to go to heaven is through accepting Jesus Christ.

2. Counseller

Jesus Christ is and was the best counseller. He taught people using parables. Even at a young age, people in temple were amazed at his understanding.

Luke 2:45-47 “45 When they did not find Him, they returned to Jerusalem looking for Him.46Then, after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions. 47And all who heard Him were amazed at His understanding and His answers”

Jesus promises the Holy Spirit as our comforter and counseller. John 14:25-26 “25"These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you. 26"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.”

Now in Jesus Christ we have an advocate with the father:

1 John 2:1 “My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous”

3. The mighty God

Psalms 50:1-4 “The mighty God, even the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.

2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.

3 Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.

4 He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.”

There is an English chorus with words “What a mighty God we server. Angels bow before him, heaven and earth adore him”

4. The Everlasting Father

Every human father has a start point and end point to life on this earth. Jesus is our everlasting father. Heb. 1:3 says, "And He [Jesus] is the radiance of His [God] glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power . . . " Jesus also said, " . . . He who has seen Me has seen the Father." (John 14:9)

5. Prince of peace

Jesus gives us the peace that surpasseth all understanding. Philippians 4:7 “7And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Jesus is The redeemer for the person burdened by sins.

God is close to broken hearted person.

Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst”

Through Jesus, we have peace that surpasseth all understanding. The same peace that helped Paul and Silas to sing, even though there were in prison. The peace that help us to Rejoice in the Lord.

Conclusion

Matthew 7:24-27 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.”

Let us have faith that Jesus will do everything well in our lives too. Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose."
