Summary: This is a brief message for kids about what it means to have our salvation paid for...in full.

Good morning. How is everybody? So I hope you had a good Christmas. Take a moment and tell me one gift that you got for Christmas.

Responses.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—“

It is the best gift of all. It is free and we don’t have to pay for it…or earn it or work for it. It’s free.

So I was looking through some paperwork at home and I came across a statement for a car we used to own and right at the bottom of the statement this is what is said.

PAID IN FULL

I wish that all of my bills said that. That would mean that I would not owe anybody any money.

HOUSE

18 years ago my wife and I bought a house. But to be more accurate I should say for almost 20 years we have been buying a house. Because it’s not paid for yet. The bank that loaned us the money actually owns it and we make payments and then one day I will get a statement like this that says at the bottom: PAID IN FULL. The home will be all mine. Well my wife’s too. I won’t have to make any more payments. I won’t have to send them any more money. And that will be a great feeling. But I also own another home. When I gave my life to Jesus Christ years ago God started building a home for me in heaven. The Bible even calls is a mansion. I have always thought wouldn’t it be great if I could live next door to some of you. Or what if everyone at Eagle’s Landing got to live on the same block? Wouldn’t that be amazing?

Well two of you I know made a decision just a couple of weeks ago to follow Christ. I know others of you who have and I want to ask all of you to be thinking about it. It’s the most important decision you will ever make. When we pray and ask God for forgiveness of our sins. He sends a statement that says PAID IN FULL.

Jesus, thank you for coming to give your life as payment in full for my sin. I gratefully accept your gift of eternal life in my home in heaven. Amen.
