“Expecting Victory”
Super Bowl Sunday
We should be expecting a victory every day of our lives!
We are called to be victorious!
John 10:10
10 The thief cometh not but to steal and to kill and to destroy. I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
The whole purpose of God sending His Son into the world was so that we could enjoy be Victorious and have life and have the abundance of life!
On this Sunday, where the two best teams in football come together to play for the world championship, people are expecting their favorite team to be victorious. They are spending a great deal of time and energy preparing for parties with families and friend to celebrate what they hope will be their teams winning victory in the super bowl game. Some people are so sure of a victory they have even wagered bets as to who they feel will win the game!
How much more should we who are on God's team expect victory? Should we the chosen of GOD be expecting God’s team to win? Is GOD counting on his elect, His chosen people to have an expectation of victory?
Then why are so many people who call themselves Christians walking around defeated before they ever enter the game? It is almost as if they are unsure who’s team they are on!
My God if you are on the winning team, you should expect a vctory!
Imagine how outraged the coach of a super bowl team would be if the players were sitting around the locker room saying things like.
I don't think we can win.
They are bigger than us
They are smarter than us.
They are better than us.
We do not have the strength to beat them.
I am scared to go out there on the field.
Can we just stay in here in the locker room?
Imagine How God would feel if some of His players were saying things like this?
Yet, there are many people who claim to be Christians that walk around every day acting like they are defeated!
They see themselves as victims.
The whole world is against them and there is nothing they can do about it!
But our play books tells us in
2 Timothy 1:7
7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
I have not given you a spirit of fear but a sound mind. ..
Imagine how our coach the Holy Spirit must feel.
He has given us power, love and sound mind, but somehow the enemy has gotten into our heads and made us afraid!
We are walking in fear and not even expecting Victory! We have not studied the play book, we have not practiced for the game!
We should know from the play book that..
1 John 4:4
But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.
He is telling us he has already seen the outcome before we even enter the game! We have won but the enemy has us scared to come out of the locker room!
We should be expecting a victory! In every battle!
Jeremiah 1:8
Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.
You cannot look at the face of the enemy and fear Him,
Have faith and believe that GOD is able to deliver you from the hands of the enemy!
God says I am with you! So you have a right to expect a Victory!
How can you have GOD with you and be looking for defeat!
God must be saying ..
put that defeated person on the bench..
trade him to the other team..
we do not have losers on this team!
Expect a victory!
You are not even fighting in the battle,
You are just a cheerleader!
Your purpose is to give praise and cheer as God wins the game!
How can you not expect victory?
2 Chronicles 20:17
You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.'"
I will fight your battle for you
Expect victory. .don't have a victim’s attitude.
Stand Firm! Look like a winner, quit crying! Quit complaining!
Stop grumbling! Take your position!

The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.

You should expect to be victorious!

But now, this is what the LORD says-- he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: "Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
I drafted you when no one else wanted you on the team!
Then I paid an unspeakable price for you,
I named you and gave you your number!
You belong to me!
I Corinthians 15:
55O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Face life and expect to be victorious. .
Count it all joy because you know the end. You have been given the final score. . You know the outcome. You know what to expect. . You know Christ rose from the dead on the third day with all power in his hands.
Victorious and he is able to raise us up also.
Shout victory in the huddle you know the outcome of the play before the game starts.
Bet your life on the winning team. .don't bet your life on a loser like the devil.
Expect to win the battle is already won.
Don't worry..
Time might be running out on your clock.
Remember God always has more time.
He can stop the clock.
He can call a time out.
He can review the plays of your life and give you a second chance.
He is calling the shots. .
Expect a victory. .
God specializes In hail Mary's.
The game of life is not over until God says it is over. .
Expect a victory if you are on God’s team.
I know it looks impossible
I know it looks like a lost cause.
But with God all things are possible. .

Bad health
Expect a victory
Bad relationship
Expect a victory
Bad habits
Expect a victory. .
I can't handle it
I am not prepared
I am too weak
I am too defeated
I am broken
I feel defeated already
Our Coach has never lost a game!
He says I made you a winner
The fourth quarter is not over yet
You have not seen my best plays
I have been setting you up for a comeback
Suit up and get back in the game
I know you are wounded
But don't worry I was wounded for your transgressions and bruised for your iniquities. .but my stripes you are healed
Yes you can expect a victory in your condition
Expect a victory with all your loses and mistakes!
Suit up and get back in the game!
I invested too much in you to let you lose!

Put on the whole armor of GOD!
Ephesians 6
13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.
Suit up and expect victory!
Put on the belt of truth buckled around your waist
Know the truth and the truth will set you free!,
Put on the breastplate of righteousness
No matter what the enemy throws at you, it will not destroy you!
The righteousness of GOD will keep you! We are made righteous by the blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God!
Put on the the gospel of peace.
Walk in peace, knowing you already have the victory through Jesus Christ!
Put on the shield of faith,
Faith in God will shield you from the devices of the enemy! Faith will let you run plays that no one else would make! Faith in GOD will allow you to walk in super natural victory! You haters will wonder how you made it!
Put on the helmet of salvation
Your Salvation will keep you head protected from the enemy, no weapon formed against you will prosper! Knowing that I have been redeem, I am saved! Will keep me from falling, keep me from failing!
I can expect victory
Because I am saved!
I am redeemed!
Put on Sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
I expect victory because the WORD OF GOD Professes it over my life!
God said it! Who can stand against Him?
Who is able to stop HIM?
Who can defeat HIM!
Finally,
Pray in the Spirit .
Always Pray,
Pray expecting and you shall receive!
Pray and He will accept you onto the winning Team,
Pray and confess your sins and HE is just to forgive them!
