To show that GOD rescued us by hiding us in the LORD JESUS CHRIST Presence from ongoing and coming destruction.
IV. TEXT:
Joshua 6:17 (Amplified Bible)
And the city and all that is in it shall be devoted to the Lord [for destruction]; only Rahab the harlot and all who are with her in her house shall live, because she hid the messengers whom we sent.
V. THESIS:
Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS You rescued and saved me from perilous death and delivered me over and over again from danger and destruction.

VIII. MAIN BODY:
This is what I call SM or "Secret Message" from the LORD because His Signature: ALEPH-TAV is placed after the word "hid"
A. All are destined for destruction
"And the city and all that is in it shall be devoted to the Lord [for destruction];"
The whole world waits for it's destruction because of ungodly people that lives on it. Majority are ungodly people, unbelievers who don't believe GOD, JESUS and His WORDS. They believe in the mother instead but not in the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE.
2 Peter 3:7 (Amplified Bible)
But by the same word the present heavens and earth have been stored up (reserved) for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly people.
John 14:6 (Amplified Bible)
Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.
Who or what will be destroyed?
1. Lovers of money are plunging themselves into ruin and destruction while they enjoy it.
1 Timothy 6:9 (Amplified Bible)
But those who crave to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish (useless, godless) and hurtful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction and miserable perishing.
2. Deception into sin and backsliders are doomed for destruction.
2 Thessalonians 2:3 (Amplified Bible)
Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the apostasy comes first [unless the predicted great falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come], and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom (of perdition),
3. Fake peace and fake safety
People thought they can be saved by their own money, good works and they have peace and safety. Think and read again unbelieving rich people!
1 Thessalonians 5:3 (Amplified Bible)
When people are saying, All is well and secure, and, There is peace and safety, then in a moment unforeseen destruction (ruin and death) will come upon them as suddenly as labor pains come upon a woman with child; and they shall by no means escape, for there will be no escape.
4. Enemies of the cross of CHRIST
Philippians 3:18-19 (Amplified Bible)
For there are many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, who walk (live) as enemies of the cross of Christ (the Anointed One).
They are doomed and their fate is eternal misery (perdition); their god is their stomach (their appetites, their sensuality) and they glory in their shame, siding with earthly things and being of their party.

For he who sows to his own flesh (lower nature, sensuality) will from the flesh reap decay and ruin and destruction, but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
6. Betrayers of GOD and JESUS CHRIST

While I was with them, I kept and preserved them in Your Name [in the knowledge and worship of You]. Those You have given Me I guarded and protected, and not one of them has perished or is lost except the son of perdition [Judas Iscariot—the one who is now doomed to destruction, destined to be lost], that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
7. Hearers of the WORD and not DOERS
Luke 6:49 (Amplified Bible)
But he who merely hears and does not practice doing My words is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation, against which the torrent burst, and immediately it collapsed and fell, and the breaking and ruin of that house was great.
B. GOD hid us due to our faith
"only Rahab the harlot and all who are with her in her house shall live, because she hid the messengers whom we sent."
The word "hid" or "chaba" in Hebrew meaning: to secrete (To hide; to conceal; to remove from observation or the knowledge of others)
Only the LORD can hide us in the shadow of His Hand. What big Hands GOD have!
Isaiah 49:2 (Amplified Bible)
And He has made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of His hand has He hid me and made me a polished arrow; in His quiver has He kept me close and concealed me.
We are hidden from the following:
1. scourge of the tongue and destruction
Job 5:21 (Amplified Bible)
You shall be hidden from the scourge of the tongue, neither shall you be afraid of destruction when it comes.
2. death and destruction
King Joash was hidden from his enemies by the LORD GOD until he is ready to rule as king. It took GOD to hid him for six years.
2 Chronicles 22:12 (Amplified Bible)
And Joash was with them hidden in the house of God six years, and Athaliah reigned over the land.
2 Kings 11:3 (Amplified Bible)
Joash was with his nurse hidden in the house of the Lord for six years. And Athaliah reigned over the land.
3. In hiding, GOD will feed us with bread (food) and drink (water)
1 Kings 18:13 (Amplified Bible)
Was it not told my lord what I did when Jezebel slew the prophets of the Lord, how I hid a hundred men of the Lord’s prophets by fifties in a cave and fed them with bread and water?
1 Kings 18:4 (Amplified Bible)
For when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the Lord, Obadiah took a hundred prophets and hid them by fifties in a cave and fed them with bread and water.)
4. We are hidden from our enemies and instead we overcome and conquer them.
Joshua 6:25 (Amplified Bible)
So Joshua saved Rahab the harlot, with her father’s household and all that she had; and she lives in Israel even to this day, because she hid the messengers whom Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.

GOD is our Hiding Place, not the other way around. Don't be like Adam and Eve which hid themselves from GOD's Presence instead of making GOD their Hiding Place.

And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

Make GOD our Hiding Place. We are destined and doomed for destruction but GOD saved us by hiding us by the blood of JESUS.
