Summary: Church Going Folks Are Running Scared Since They Are Looking For God Somewhere He Will Never Be. I Will Pray Your Courage Returns.

My beloved brothers and sisters inside the household of the God of Abraham and to those of us who just attend a church building;

I am praying that your courage return. Since the recent shooting in Charleston, SC, it saddens my heart to see that most Americanized churchgoers are currently running scared away from each other and towards their guns. However, did our reprobate minds forget that Jesus, the Nazareth counsels within John 14, "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful"? More importantly, are our capitalistically blinded eyes not able to read the words of God as stated in 2 Timothy 1:7 that says "For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline"?

From the fearfulness emanating out of the actions of some members of America's organized church buildings, one must assume evidently we are not reading nor understand the words of God. Additionally, the fears captivating the hearts and minds of the churchgoer are intrinsically connected to the organized church buildings' inability and blatant refusal to throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. Instead of running with perseverance the race marked out for mankind, we are chasing after the American Dream, seeking out political influence, worshiping our money, corrupted by our worldly power, and deceived by our ill gotten wealth. Instead of fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith, we fasten our eyes upon our religious celebrities and cry out for help to our political idols.

Nevertheless, my precious brothers and sister of God; in these last hours, let each of us keep in mind that we have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again. Rather, we have received a spirit of adoption as spiritual daughters and sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!" In order to become the more than conquerors that is need in a time such as this, the children of God must hold onto not our money, power, status or wealth. Rather, we must obtain that same belief that led many of our foreparents during the Civil Right Struggle as they faced overwhelming odds and troubling prejudices. The only way anyone in our divided nation can truly sing the words of that old negro Hymn, 'Free at last, Free at last' is we must first come to know for ourselves that if God is for us, who can be against us. We must seek the wisdom behind not being afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more.

"Have courage, keep the faith, and don't stop fighting that righteous fight until God says your life on earth is through."

As-salamu alaykum, Shalom aleikhem, and Much Love in the name of Jesus;

Ameen
