The Head is the LORD JESUS CHRIST and the Body is the Church which are made of the same material: gold. (finest quality, fair weather)

As to the hidden meaning (the mystery) of the seven stars which you saw on My right hand and the seven lampstands of gold: the seven stars are the seven angels (messengers) of the seven assemblies (churches) and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

No doubt about it, the LORD JESUS CHRIST is made up of gold and He wanted and also made His body of the same material.
Some facts about the Body of CHRIST: the Church:
1. Perfected and equipped by the LORD
Ephesians 4:12 (Amplified Bible)
His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church),
2. Matured by CHRIST
Ephesians 4:16 (Amplified Bible)
For because of Him the whole body (the church, in all its various parts), closely joined and firmly knit together by the joints and ligaments with which it is supplied, when each part [with power adapted to its need] is working properly [in all its functions], grows to full maturity, building itself up in love.
3. CHRIST will occupy the chief place

He also is the Head of [His] body, the church; seeing He is the Beginning, the Firstborn from among the dead, so that He alone in everything and in every respect might occupy the chief place [stand first and be preeminent].
4. CHRIST nourishes, protects and cherishes the Body.

For no man ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and carefully protects and cherishes it, as Christ does the church,

B. The Church is represented by shaft, branches, bowls, knops and flowers

Five functions of the Church:
1. Shaft - is the body itself, between the base and the capital. The brain or the Head is the LORD JESUS CHRIST nourishes the body with all it's instructions on how the body will correctly respond. It could also be the thigh that contains the sword.
Psalms 45:3 (Amplified Bible)
Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O mighty One, in Your glory and Your majesty!
2. Branches - a division of main stem, supporting the leaves (man-made works) and the fruits. (GOD's gifts)
John 15:5 (Amplified Bible)
I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.
John 15:7 (Amplified Bible)
If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.
3. Bowls - a concave vessel to hold liquors, rather wide than deep, and thus distinguished from a cup, which is rather deep than wide

That each one of you should know how to ossess (control, manage) his own body in consecration (purity, separated from things profane) and honor,
2 Timothy 2:21 (Amplified Bible)

4. Knops - a knob, one that encircles the bowls.
5. Flowers - in botany, that part of a plant which contains the organs of fructification. It also symbolizes the youth/energy of a man.
Isaiah 5:24 (New International Version)
Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel.
The strength of a natural man or an unbeliever dies and is blown away like dust because they don't have the LORD to renew their strength.
