how MAJESTIC was His visit. In verse 3 He says, "thou camest down."

how MARVELOUS was His visit.

3 When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for,

how MIGHTY was His visit 3 mountains flowed down at thy presence

B. A PRESENT VISITATION OF GOD FOR WHICH HE LONGS.

that the mountains might flow down at thy presence, 2 As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil..." describes an exploding volcano.

A. THE PERSONAL ACQUAINTANCE WITH GOD PRODUCED.

B. THE NATIONAL REVERENCE FOR GOD PRODUCED.

2 that the nations may tremble at thy presence!

3. A PREREQUISTE FOR GOD'S PEOPLE ON EARTH!

The CONFESSION OF:- A. THE SINS OF THE PEOPLE OF GOD.

6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. - Sin must be Confronted, Confessed, and Cleansed

B. THE SILENCE OF THE PEOPLE OF GOD. 7 And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee:

There was not only iniquity, but there was also indifference.

Isa 59:16 And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.
