DUMB DOGS THAT CANNOT BARK!
(Bark Preacher Bark!)
Isaiah 56:9-12
Sermonic Move #1: sermonic introduction
There is no doubt that
- our nation is on a big political, economic, moral and spiritual decline!
- Other nations are on a big political, economic, moral and spiritual decline!
And above all,
- our pulpits are in big moral and spiritual decline!
I’m speaking of…
- Full blown apostasy!
- Heresy that make the heretics of yester years look like they weren’t that bad!
Yes, I’m concerned about the moral and spiritual decline of our nation.
- But I’m more concern about the moral and spiritual decline of our pulpits!
- We have strayed away from the righteousness of the Bible.
- We’re calling good evil and evil good!
Any and almost every body, especially in the African-American Church is calling themselves
- Prophets and apostles these days and there nothing prophetic or apostolic about them..
Too many pulpits are guilty of the way that seemeth right unto man
- but are ignoring the ways thereof that leads to death and pretending they don’t even realize it!
There are far too many preachers that are NOT willing to admit without some sort of denial or excuse
- that our pulpits have drifted far from God’s path of righteousness over into a form of godliness that denies the power thereof!
Many preachers are blaming the president and the congress for the moral and spiritual decline…
- while at the same time denying the sin that is reigning from their lives and the sanctuaries over which they have leadership or headship!
- This is certainly like the pot calling the kettle black!
- This is certainly like an orangutan calling the baboon ugly.
Yes, our president and our congress are legislating laws that are anti-Bible and anti-Church,
- but there is NO Hook in our noses or noose around our necks that we have to accept this demonic onslaught against truth and against the righteousness of God!
If the President is promoting a worldwide homosexual agenda,
- then the preachers ought to be promoting a worldwide BACK TO GOD AGENDA!
But you know what, the pulpits have VERY FEW preachers who were called and empowered
- to carry out such a worldwide righteousness agenda!
Most of the African American preachers are more worried who coming to support their liturgical agendas and what money will be raised
- more than that righteousness needs to be restored!
The book of Isaiah has some choice and harsh words
- for both the Church houses and political houses. Mostly the CHURCH HOUSES it her headship leaders!
Here is what prophesieth Isaiah in chapter 56, verses 9 thru 12…
- “All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest. (10) His WATCHMEN, THEY ARE ALL DUMB DOGS, they CANNOT BARK, SLEEPING, LYING DOWN, LOVING TO SLUMBER. (11) Yea, THEY ARE GREEDY DOGS which can NEVER HAVE ENOUGH, and they are SHEPHERDS that CANNOT UNDERSTAND: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter. (12) Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.”
Sermonic Move #2: Sermonic “I’aint going to bark anymore!”
From this SUBJECT:
- DUMB DOGS BEHIND THE PULPIT THAT CANNOT BARK (“barking” means “to warn!).”
Dumb dogs here in todays language is referring to the leadership and headship of the Church who suppose to be
- vocally warning the people of danger and reproving them of their sin but are not barking warnings at them!
We’re living in the day of the dumb dog preachers who have not lost their bark
- but who refuse to bark.
Because they think that if they bark to loudly it would not only frighten off the wolf
- but also the flock over which he’s guarding might run away to and he loses the profit he could make selling the lamb’s wool.
He’s the guard dog of the flock and the wolf is coming
- but he’d rather lay up in the pound beside momma dog eating gravy train serve to him by the membership rather than barking.
Preachers that are present, Are you one of the dumb dogs Isaiah is speaking of?
- Are your Church a dumb dog Church?
I can tell you that this Church is NOT a dumb dog Church
- because I have personally heard the dog behind this pulpit bark.
Let me say this again: Barking here means to
“To warn by message, warn by prophecy of the danger that is approaching!
But also warn of the unrighteous within the sheepfold, I mean the Church!
In this scene Isaiah pictures
- the helplessness of the flock that are being exposed to the wild beasts of the forest and fields because of the failure of the guard dogs.
The attacking beasts are bold because
- they know that no threatening bark will be uttered to frighten them or to alarm the flock into flight.
They can now declare
- OPEN SEASON and A GREAT TIME OF FEASTING DEVOURING GOD’S PEOPLE.
They are saying,
- THE WATCH DOG IS SLEEPING LAZY IN HIS POUND! COME, LET’S EAT UNTIL OUR GUT BURST!
How can you not be barking when the Bible says our…
- “adversary, the devil as a roaring lion goeth about seeking whom he may devour.”
- Sobriety and vigilance are required of every Christian.
Let no one be deceived;
- the enemy will avail himself of every opportunity afforded by the silence of the watchman.
To fail to give warning when danger appears
- the blood of the innocent, as Ezekiel warns, will be required at your hand.
The barking of the faithful watch dog
- will be annoying, not only to the one who desires to devour in peace,
Will also annoy the complacent and blind shepherds…
- “who are at ease in Zion and NOT watching.”
- The enemies of the flock are just as ravenous today as ever!
- they are too involved in Church things that are NOT of God!
No, they cannot bark because…
- God calls them DUMB DOGS!
They are called “dumb dogs” because…
- they were NEVER called to preach or were NOT qualified to preach –
- They were man appointed and NOT God appointed!
Or they were called by God, approved and qualified,
- but sold out to prosperity and good times! BOUGHT OUT BY THE PEOPLE’S FAVOR!
PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS DEFINITELY A PROPHECY FOR THIS DAY!
- The pulpits are filled with these dumb dogs!
This description hits real hard at Pentecostalism, Charismatic-ism and full-gospel-ism! Because unlike most other denominations,
- WE claim HOLINESS, SANCTIFICATION and being BAPTIZED IN THE HOLY GHOST!
For we proclaim to KNOW BETTER! And I ask the question…
- WHY DON’T WE DO BETTER?
They are afraid to bark and have trained the rest of their dog pounds that if one of them barks
- that would means danger is among them and a bark would mean that they must all run away from their good times.
So the dumb dog behind the pulpit says…
- “if I bark all the dogs with me that bring home the bones for me will run away and leave me boneless!
When I say “bones” I mean
- all the money and good times will run away with them!
If I bark and all my dogs will leave me…
- I’ll be left alone in the pound all by my lonesome self and there be no one to bring in the bones!!
Therefore, it would cost too much to bark!
- So I just cannot afford to bark.
- I may howl and growl a little to make them think I can bark, but I WON’T BARK!
Sermonic Move #3: rampaging sin in the sanctuary and God’s faulting the pulpits
“Dumb dogs” is the blunt term Isaiah used to describe
- those watchman and shepherds (preachers, leadership and headship) who failed in their duty of guarding the flock of God—He refers to them as“dumb dogs, that cannot bark.”
These words are rather
- tough, stinging, biting and condemning.
But nevertheless these are true words describing
- the spiritual and moral state of headship and leadership of Christendom today-
This description hits real hard at Pentecostalism, Charismatic-ism and full-gospel-ism! Because unlike most other denominations,
- WE claim HOLINESS, SANCTIFICATION and being BAPTIZED IN THE HOLY GHOST!
For we proclaim to KNOW BETTER! And I ask the question…
- WHY DON’T WE DO BETTER?
This was written to the WHOLE Theocracy of Israel;
- to THE PRIESTS and to THE KINGS, but mainly to the priests.
It was TO the TABERNACLE and TEMPLE
- more than to the Palace!
In today’s fulfillment…
- TO PULPITS and THE PREACHERS BEHIND THEM MORE THEN THE GOVERNOR’S MANSION AND WHITE HOUSE IN WASHINGTON DC!
Therefore, these verses in Isaiah 56 are primarily a reprimand to the Spiritual leaders
- who were supposed to be on guard regarding the Spiritual dangers facing the nation of Israel.
It also condemns
- all the false prophets, the false political leaders and the general population who tolerated these deceivers.
One can see right away that this is real tough talk. But this same Prophet reminds all preachers later in chapter 58 verse 1 that no matter the cost that we are to..
- “Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.
Sermonic move #4: Dumb dog:Don’t expect me to bark to mess up my good thing!
In other words, what Isaiah 56 verses 9-12 are saying that these dumb dogs are saying is that…
- we are prospering today and we’ll going to prosper even the more tomorrow.
- Each day is going to get better and better
- and I’m not going to bark to scare off those who are accommodating me with their resources.
- I’m NOT going to BARK even if the wolf is coming!
- I’m NOT going TO BARK even if an invading nation is at our borders!
I’m in the midst of my prosperity gains
- and I don’t plan to bark and scare off my covenant partners who are supplying my coffers with tangible resources!
For this is the day of MAMMON
- and NO LONGER the DAY OF GOD!
As if saying,
- God wants all saints to become millionaires so they can pay for all that luxury that will be in heaven!
I don’t know about you
- but heaven IS NOT BANKRUPT and ALL THE WEALTH UP THERE ARE ALREADY PAID FOR!
Sermonic Move#5: Blindness
The failure of the “dumb dogs” to sound the warning is ascribed by Isaiah to several causes.
- One of them is blindness. “His watchmen are blind; they are all without knowledge.”
They may have the “wisdom of the world”
- but they do not have the wisdom of God that enables them to discern the approach of evil.
Sermonic Move #6: Complacency
Another factor contributing to the dumbness of the watch dogs was
- complacency.
Their complacency is pictured by the prophet in these words,
- “dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber.”
- Complacency and laziness go hand in hand.
Dreaming, indifference, and spiritual lethargy on the part of the watchers
- provide the devourer with his best opportunity for wreaking havoc with the flock..
Sermonic Move #7: Greedy Dogs
The greedy dog, will take a bribe from the devil
- and turn around and scam the saints.
In Isaiah’s figurative speech he charges that the silence of the dogs
- was due in part to their greediness.
Greedy dogs, like greedy preachers, are dumb
- when their silence is calculated to bring them some selfish gain.
They will KEEP SILENT and NOT BARK
Sermonic Move #8: No Popularity in Barking!
These are truly Laodicean days and SIN is RUNNING RAMPANT in the house of God because…
- the watch dogs of the house who are supposed to be in charge ARE NOT BARKING ANYMORE!
End time danger are rising up on every local and national front but…
- MOST watch dogs are counting their money and entertaining themselves and ministry friend but ARE NOT BARKING!
A BARKING PREACHER IS NOT POPULAR THESE DAYS!
- HE ONLY GETS TO PREACH AT HIS HOME CHURCH!
Because…
- Hardly any one wants to hear that judgment IS SOON COMING or about hell-fire and brimstone!
Or that you CANNOT BE,
- a fornicator, an adulterer, drunkard, doing drugs or a liar or a gosspier or a trucebreaker or a homosexual or lesbain and still be a preacher or holy saint!
Or that you CANNOT come to Church
- HALF NAKED and claim 1st Samuel 16:7 gave you permission to dress that way!
Or that you cannot allow your singers and musicians
- to sing and play worldly popular music having a secular beat and allowing rap music in the Church calling it the so-called holy hip-hop! Not only hip-hop, but other forms of religious non-inspirational music!
Or that you CANNOT CONTINUE to
- PROFANE the SABBATH, PROMOTE pagan holidays as being of God!
Why isn’t there any one barking about those things!
- ONLY THE BARKING PREACHERS ARE STILL BARKING AT THOSE THINGS!
No, the Church doesn’t want this kind of preaching anymore because this is NOT…
- the gospel of COMFORT they are use to hearing today!
This is NOT
- the gospel of accommodation that is so popular from the pulpits of the mega and accommodating churches of this nation that they have now planted in other nations.
So the preachers that are still barking from behind the pulpit are labeled as
- old school,
- old fashion
- and out of touch with contemporary times!
Sermonic Move #9: Go ahead make my day! Dare me to bark
But I, bishop Dan Sanders have a sworn oath through the Holy Ghost…
- to bark until I cannot bark anymore! Or until God allows them to shut down my barking!

Sermonic Move #10: he, satan, has turned my barking into SILENCE!
Concerning the dumb dogs that cannot bark:
- Barking? Huh? Why, they won’t EVEN HOWL ANYMORE or EVEN GROWL.
They are SILENT OF THEIR OWN SINS and UNRIGHTEOUSNESS
- but seems TO SEE EVERYONE ELSE’S!
These dumb dogs are NOT EVEN…
- WARNING THE PEOPLE OF THE COMING DANGER THAT LURKS ALL AROUND THEM!
- HOW CAN THEY BARK IF THEY ARE REFUSING TO HOWL or GROWL?
Well, I won’t be so hard on ALL as I am hard on some…
- Yes, a few of them can HOWL and GROWL, but refuses TO BARK!
Sermonic Move #11: Days of Behind the Pulpit Dumb Dogs!
We’re living in the days of the dumb dogs, they are standing behind many pulpits
- but they WON’T bark because they CANNOT bark…
- they are too involved in Church things that are NOT of God!
No, they cannot bark because…
- God calls them DUMB DOGS!
They are called “dumb dogs” because…
- they were NEVER called to preach or were NOT qualified to preach –

Sermonic Move #12: I ain’t chasing off my ‘bone-bringers!”
I cannot afford to mess this up!
- Why child, last year at my anniversary the raised over 10,000 bones for me ($10,000)!
And that was from the members!
- not counting the 5,000 bones ($5000) that came from visiting Churches and friends who visited that week!
Next year is coming up and my puppies in the pews gonna haf to bring me 15,000 bones!
- If they don’t I won’t bark at them because I cannot bark! I’ll just bite them (meaning I will chew them out!)
They are having my Banquet at the Naraganza Inn Dog Pound on Long Island…
- And Bishop Half-Breed Mut from religious TV who also has stopped barking will be the main growler (main speaker, that is…)
- He’s NOT a barking preacher! He is a low-pitch growler!
- Will growl at them if they don’t give him what he wants.
- He’s got a golden commode in his bathroom that he paid 15,000 bones for!
- He’s got suits that cast 1,500 bones! Shoes that cost 700 bones! A house he paid 1,000,000 bones!
No preacher in the land can out bone him!
- Why, he’s got more bones than an elephant graveyard if you know what I mean by that!
I been trained by Bishop Half-Breed Mut and I’m trying to be like him
- and I ain’t going to bark and mess that up!
I don’t want to be a “BARKER” (preacher)
- But if you insist I’ll grown and howl a little bit in a low pitch. But NOT TOO LOUDLY!”
Some of us may have to tell our congregation that since you are so mad at me for barking, I won’t bark,
- but I’ll just start A LOW PITCH howl like Bishop Half-Breed Mut!
So I’ll just growl a few sermons and at least you’ll know that there’s a dog in the house!
- but you won’t ever get me to bark to run off all of the pedigree in my pound to leave me boneless!
I’ll howl a little and growl a little and that’s all…
- but I ain’t gonna bark!
Sermonic Move #13: how come you can howl and growl but CANNOT bark?
God does not want a Silent or Howling and Growling dog behind His pulpits…
- He wants a BARKING DOG!
As for me, Bishop Dan, I may can howl & growl…
- but God has called me also TO BARK and BARKING I’M GOING TO CONTINUE TO DO!
As a bishop, being an overseer-watching over the flock my main ministry is
- BARKING! RAWF! RAWF! ROOOOO!
A good dog is known more by its bark than by its howl or growl…
- A dog barks more often than it howls or growls!
If Sterling’s dogs howled and growled LOW PITCH all the time and NEVER BARKED OUT LOUD,
- he would take them to the VET to see if they have some parasite in the brain!
Bishop Dan, I’m a BARKER!
- I can growl and howl but I can also BARK VERY LOUD! I’m good at barking and I’m going to bark!
And since I’m not a dumb dog like most of these Churches have behind their pulpits…
- I GOING TO BARK at ALL COST and AT ANY COST! NO MATTER THE COST or the LOST!
Some day some many get annoyed at my barking and may catch me and spade or noodle me…
- but I’ll continue to bark if I must bark at a HIGH pitch!
They may throw me out the pound and drive me off into the wood and abandon me there…
- You won’t get any sleep at night because I’ll be barking from that woods also!
God has called me as His preacher, His watch dog to BARK IN THE HOUSE OF GOD…
- And I’M GOING TO BARK IN THE HOUSE OF GOD!
As you can hear, as a matter of fact…
- I’m barking right now.

- He as call ALL OF US TO BARK and NOT just to HOWL or GROWL!

God said they are
- those who look for their OWN INTEREST…
- Those who have their own dreams…
God said that
- they are sleeping! They are laying down!

What happened to barking about SEPARATION?
- COMING OUT FROM AMONG THEM AND BEING SEPARATED,
Or that
- You walk in the council of the ungodly, stand in the path of sinners or sit in the seat of the scornful!
Sermonic Move #14: How to know when a dog is barking…
When a preacher tell you that you CANNOT marry and divorce and marry and divorce as you wish…
- he’s barking!
When a preacher tells you that the kingdom and God’s righteousness come before those things that shall be added unto you…
- he’s barking!
When a preacher tells you that being an adulterer, fornicator, liar, cheat, discord sower, homosexual or lesbian cannot enter the Kingdom of God…
- he’s barking!
When the preacher tells you that you cannot forsake the assembling yourselves from attending Church….
- He is barking!

And if I cannot bark from CEMI’s pulpit or where I am called or invited to preach…
- then I won’t howl or growl those place either! I’ll just leave and shake off the dust!

- “the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and ALL liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

- “you cannot serve TWO masters! You’ll love one and hate the other!”
I’m gonna bark…
- “it’s holiness or hell!”
I’m gonna bark…
- “King Herod, you cannot have your brother’s wife!”
I’m gonna bark…
- SET YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER – JESUS IS COMING SOON!
I REFUSE TO BE A DUMB DOG IN THE PULPIT! I’M GOING TO BARK UNTIL
- THEY SPADE OR NOODLE ME OR ABANDON ME TO THE DOG POUND IN THE FOREST!
- And from there I’ll make the forest a sanctuary with my righteous barking!
Who is BEHIND YOUR PULPIT?
- A DUMB DOG or a BARKING DOG!
