To show the proof in the bible why adam was cursed in his work, it's because he listened to his wife but never listened to GOD.

Genesis 3:17 (Amplified Bible)
And to Adam He said, Because you have listened and given heed to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat of it, the ground is under a curse because of you; in sorrow and toil shall you eat [of the fruits] of it all the days of your life.

Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS for we listen only to You and we will receive Your goodness and prosperity in this life.

And to Adam He said, Because you have listened and given heed to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat of it, the ground is under a curse because of you; in sorrow and toil shall you eat [of the fruits] of it all the days of your life.

Then to Adam He said, "Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat of it': "Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life.

Hearkened, listened or "shama" in Hebrew language meaning, "to hear intelligently, with implication of attention, obedience, consent, consider, diligently, discern, give ear, understand, regard, report"
Because adam decided not to intervene listening to her wife, rather than GOD. Now wives nowadays will get angry with you if you will not listen to them. That's why the man has to listen to GOD and rely the message of GOD to his wife and both will listen to GOD. Of course GOD will talk to men, if men are devoted and committed to their worship time with GOD. Men or husbands therefore are the spiritual leaders as well in their household. A silent husband is a failure and loser husband. He must always be talking the oracles and decisions of GOD to share to his wife. It's not the other way around. The devil tries to destro the family by reversing it, nowadays women talk a lot in the household and the family is destroyed, the husband leaves instead for another "silent" woman.

It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop [on the flat oriental roof, exposed to all kinds of weather] than in a house shared with a nagging, quarrelsome, and faultfinding woman.

It will always be the wife who will say to her husband to touch what belongs to GOD. In our days, this is our tithes and offering, don't listen to your wife if he tells you this because tithes and offerings symbolizes our submission to GOD, and not to money, we declare with this actions of faith that GOD is our Liberal Supplier and not money. GOD then multiplies the purchasing power of the money that we have.

GOD designed the home and family today for man to be the speaker and leader both physical and spiritual.

ILLUSTRATION: We see this wicked and perverse generation always reversing what GOD has said. Now same sex marriage are promoted and embraced. The woman rans the home because the man was in another country working. How pitiful for us to degrade ourselves differently from what GOD has commanded?
B. The ground is under a curse for adam's sake, in toil and sorrow you will eat from it all the days of your life.

Because adam is the representative of evern man, whoever was assigned to stand as adam will fail miserably without GOD, because we can see from the scriptures or (not see anything or any record at all) that adam thanked the LORD for creating him. Sadly but it's true that adam missed the very basic of life, that is having gratitude in his heart for something that he can't do for himself. Or even acknowledging GOD in the most little own way. No never, not a word.
adam was not a spiritual man, indeed, for He never saw GOD as his Helper.
Genesis 2:18-20 (Amplified Bible)
Now the Lord God said, It is not good (sufficient, satisfactory) that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper meet (suitable, adapted, complementary) for him.
And out of the ground the Lord God formed every [wild] beast and living creature of the field and every bird of the air and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them; and whatever Adam called every living creature, that was its name.
And Adam gave names to all the livestock and to the birds of the air and to every [wild] beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found a helper meet (suitable, adapted, complementary) for him.
Unlike King David, who was a spiritual man, saw GOD as his Helper.
Psalms 54:4 (Amplified Bible)
Behold, God is my helper and ally; the Lord is my upholder and is with them who uphold my life.
Actually adam never needed a wife, for he had already a Husband but he never saw GOD like that. He was blind in all the blessings he had received from GOD.
Isaiah 54:5 (Amplified Bible)
For your Maker is your Husband—the Lord of hosts is His name—and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; the God of the whole earth He is called.
That's why GOD is so loving and gracious to give adam a helpmate in the form of a woman.
Genesis 2:23-25 (Amplified Bible)
Then Adam said, This [creature] is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of a man.
Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall become united and cleave to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
And the man and his wife were both naked and were not embarrassed or ashamed in each other’s presence.
We can see adam being conscious of his wife but not of the LORD GOD. How pitiful! There's no record in the bible that adam turned to GOD and You are my Creator and i am your creature subjected to you.
Be conscious of the LORD GOD, not of everyone else, and both husbands and wives be conscious of the LORD GOD and only trust, adhere, worship, adore, hope, and put their confidence only in the LORD GOD not to each other.
