VIII. MAIN BODY:

Romans 10:5 (Amplified Bible)

For Moses writes that the man who [can] practice the righteousness (perfect conformity to God’s will) which is based on the Law [with all its intricate demands] shall live by it.

Romans 10:5 (New King James Version)

For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, "The man who does those things shall live by them."

A. Moses wrote about righteousness of the law

"For Moses writes that the man who [can] practice the righteousness (perfect conformity to God’s will) which is based on the Law"

There are two dispensation in the bible, the old and the new testament. The old testament or old covenant requires that a man's performance is involved in doing the Law, so that he can live by them by attaining righteousness which is of the Law. While the other one, the new testament or new covenant, which requires us to only believe by grace through faith and we are made righteous, but that is out of scope of our discussion for today in this topic we have.

Ephesians 2:8-9 (Amplified Bible)

For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God;

Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law’s demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.]

2 Corinthians 5:20-21 (Amplified Bible)

So we are Christ’s ambassadors, God making His appeal as it were through us. We [as Christ’s personal representatives] beg you for His sake to lay hold of the divine favor [now offered you] and be reconciled to God.

For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness].

Only JESUS CHRIST our LORD can satisfy the righteousness standard of the Law, that's why He said:

Matthew 5:17 (Amplified Bible)

Do not think that I have come to do away with or undo the Law or the Prophets; I have come not to do away with or undo but to complete and fulfill them.

so that through and in the LORD JESUS CHRIST we lived by grace through faith, fulfilled the Law, because of the LORD JESUS CHRIST that lives within us. This will shock the religious because all they have to do is attain, perform and do the works of the Law, while we have already done it in the Person of the LORD JESUS CHRIST within our hearts, we therefore believed and it's accounted to us in righteousness, that's why we are called "children of Abraham" not "children of Moses"

Galatians 3:6 (Amplified Bible)

Thus Abraham believed in and adhered to and trusted in and relied on God, and it was reckoned and placed to his account and credited as righteousness (as conformity to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action).

James 2:23 (Amplified Bible)

And [so] the Scripture was fulfilled that says, Abraham believed in (adhered to, trusted in, and relied on) God, and this was accounted to him as righteousness (as conformity to God’s will in thought and deed), and he was called God’s friend.

Genesis 15:6 (Amplified Bible)

And he [Abram] believed in (trusted in, relied on, remained steadfast to) the Lord, and He counted it to him as righteousness (right standing with God).

Romans 4:3 (Amplified Bible)

For what does the Scripture say? Abraham believed in (trusted in) God, and it was credited to his account as righteousness (right living and right standing with God).

Romans 4:18-22 (Amplified Bible)

[For Abraham, human reason for] hope being gone, hoped in faith that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been promised, So [numberless] shall your descendants be.

He did not weaken in faith when he considered the [utter] impotence of his own body, which was as good as dead because he was about a hundred years old, or [when he considered] the barrenness of Sarah’s [deadened] womb.

No unbelief or distrust made him waver (doubtingly question) concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God,

Fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty to keep His word and to do what He had promised.

That is why his faith was credited to him as righteousness (right standing with God).

These are wake up calls to the religious and those who trusted religion as their "way to heaven" see, religion is not the way, don't click to your religion, JESUS is the Only WAY.

John 14:6 (Amplified Bible)

Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.

Acts 4:12 (Amplified Bible)

And there is salvation in and through no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by and in which we must be saved.

Romans 3:20-22 (Amplified Bible)

For no person will be justified (made righteous, acquitted, and judged acceptable) in His sight by observing the works prescribed by the Law. For [the real function of] the Law is to make men recognize and be conscious of sin [not mere perception, but an acquaintance with sin which works toward repentance, faith, and holy character].

But now the righteousness of God has been revealed independently and altogether apart from the Law, although actually it is attested by the Law and the Prophets,

Namely, the righteousness of God which comes by believing with personal trust and confident reliance on Jesus Christ (the Messiah). [And it is meant] for all who believe. For there is no distinction,

NO PERSON CAN BE MADE RIGHTEOUS BY THE LAW, ONLY THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IS THAT PERSON!!!

Romans 3:20-23 (New International Version)

Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.

But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.

This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference,

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Only the LORD JESUS CHRIST can fulfill, complete and perfect the Law, because He is Sinless Perfection, He knew no sin, and was Sinless. He had to be made sin for all of us (not a sinner) to save those who will believe in His WORKS OF THE LAW, so therefore we are made the righteousness of GOD.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (New International Version)

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

B. Man has to do the law to live by them.

"[with all its intricate demands] shall live by it"

Galatians 3:12 (Amplified Bible)

But the Law does not rest on faith [does not require faith, has nothing to do with faith], for it itself says, He who does them [the things prescribed by the Law] shall live by them [not by faith].

Leviticus 18:5 (Amplified Bible)

You shall therefore keep My statutes and My ordinances which, if a man does, he shall live by them. I am the Lord.

Romans 10:4-5 (Amplified Bible)

For Christ is the end of the Law [the limit at which it ceases to be, for the Law leads up to Him Who is the fulfillment of its types, and in Him the purpose which it was designed to accomplish is fulfilled. That is, the purpose of the Law is fulfilled in Him] as the means of righteousness (right relationship to God) for everyone who trusts in and adheres to and relies on Him.

For Moses writes that the man who [can] practice the righteousness (perfect conformity to God’s will) which is based on the Law [with all its intricate demands] shall live by it.

FOR CHRIST IS THE END OF THE LAW - what a wonderful statement, that we don't need to trust our performances and our trusting the Law by observing them, but trusting and having confidence alone in the LORD JESUS CHRIST. For the LORD JESUS CHRIST already came to fulfill and observe the Law, it's all done, He has to sacrifice His Divinity to become Human to observe and perfect the Law, now the Law's requirement is to die for the sin, since JESUS CHRIST can't die by the Law because He has no sin, therefore, He was made sin for us to be righteous that will believe in Him.

IX. CONCLUSION:

Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS for Your righteousness imputed within me because You live within me.
