IS THERE A CONCEPT OF TRUTH? WHO DEFINES TRUTH?

Ever heard it said: IF THIS IS WRONG, I DO NOT WANT TO BE RIGTH?
THERE ARE MANY GREAT QUESTIONS IN THE BIBLE...
ONE WAS ASKED BY A POLITICAL LEADER THAT IS GOOD TO PONDER...
John 18:38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again
unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.
I read where a man got a light and went out to search for truth?
Can we find a good valid definition for TRUTH?
Who defines truth?
WHAT IS THE NATURE OF TRUTH?
Can we define truth as facts? Reality? Who's facts? Who's reality?
Do we define truth by discussing falsehoods and lies?
Romans 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou
mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
**IN A PREVIOUS STUDY (WHAT IS YOUR STATE OF MIND?
ARE WE TRYING TO RE-DEFINE TRUTH?) We studied several issues where some
are trying to change the NORMS WITHIN THE CHURCH and bypass what God desires.

**5. SET PRIORITIES AND GOALS.
(Matthew 6:33)
**6. WHEN WE ARE SICK. CALL FOR THE ELDERS OF THE CHURCH TO ANOINT AND PRAY.
(James 5:13-15)
**7. BE FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT.
(Ephesians 5:18)
**8. BE FAITHFUL TO YOUR POST OF DUTY.
(1 Corinthians 4:2)
COME WITH US A LITTLE DEEPER AS WE STUDY THE HEART OF GOD AND WHAT GOD
DESIRES OF US...
**9. GOD DESIRES HIS PEOPLE TO BE THANKFUL AND APPRECIATIVE.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus
concerning you.
Psalm 106:1 Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy
endureth for ever.
HAVE YOU READ THE STORY ABOUT THE KING'S SERVANT THAT ALWAYS GAVE THANKS
AND SAID: "THIS IS GOOD!"
The King had a special servant that always traveled with him. The King loved being around this
servant as he was always upbeat and positive. The man always said kind things and was quick
to edify and encourage others.
The King would wake up in the morning and his servant would run to him and say: "THIS IS A
GOOD DAY. WE ARE ALIVE. THIS IS GOOD, IT IS REALLY GOOD!"
The King ate breakfast and the servant said: " THIS IS GOOD, IT IS REALLY GOOD!"
When the King came out in his royal clothes: His servant said: "YOU LOOK SO GOOD TODAY!
THIS IS GOOD, IT IS REALLY GOOD"
When people came to the King and complained and the King would listen. The servant would
visit with the King and tell him how blessed they were and nothing was as bad as it first appeared.
Then the servant would say: " THIS IS GOOD, IT IS REALLY GOOD!"
The King loved hunting with his bow an arrow. His little servant was there by his side.
The King would have great success, and his servant would say:
" THIS IS GOOD, IT IS REALLY GOOD!"
At night as the servant prepared the King for his rest, the servant would always say:
" THIS IS A GOOD DAY, IT HAS BEEN A REALLY GOOD!"
ONE DAY THE KING JUMPED UP ON HIS HORSE AND WAS RIDING AROUND THE
KINGDOM, AND HIS SERVANT SAID: " THIS IS GOOD, IT IS REALLY GOOD!"
The King decided to practice with his bow and arrows. So the men dismounted and
the servant gave the King his bow and the razor sharp arrows. Something happened and
the KING CUT OFF HIS RIGHT THUMB. The King was bleeding and the situation looked terrible.
The attendants got the bleeding stopped and the KING WAS IN GREAT PAIN.
His servant said: " THIS IS GOOD, IT IS REALLY GOOD!"
In great anger the King did not want to hear that garbage and the King threw his servant
into prison. THE SERVANT WAS ALWAYS BY THE SIDE OF THE KING, BUT THE KING
DID NOT DESIRE TO HEAR: " THIS IS GOOD, IT IS REALLY GOOD!" He knew better!
The King was out in the country side far from the palace and it started to get dark.
The King's party got lost and went deeper and deeper into a dangerous area.
THE NEXT MORNING THE KING CRAWLED OUT OF HIS TENT TO REALIZE THEY WERE
IN THE MIDDLE OF THE AREA WHERE SERIOUS CANNIBAL LIVED.
The King knew he was in for big trouble when the flesh eating human beings gather around him
and took him back to the village to COOK HIM and EAT HIM.
They had a huge pot and built a huge fire under the pot. They prepared the King to be placed
in the boiling water. One of the CANNIBALS grabbed him by the hand and noticed his
right THUMB WAS CUT OFF.
The cannibal started screaming, they were VERY SUPERSTITIOUS and they believe a man with
his thumb cut off was bad magic. The cannibals immediately released the KING WITH NO THUMB.
The King jumped on his horse and returned to his camp.
The King remember the words of his servant said when his thumb was cut off:
" THIS IS GOOD, IT IS REALLY GOOD!"
The King now realized: " THIS IS GOOD, IT IS REALLY GOOD!" was truth! His thumb being cut
off saved his life.
THE KING RODE HIS HORSE AS FAST AS HE COULD TO THE PRISON AND RELEASED
HIS SERVANT THAT HAD BEEN LOCKED UP FOR OVER A YEAR.
The King explained to his servant that the cannibals were going to eat him, and when they saw his
thumb was gone they released him because they wanted no bad JU-JU.
The servant said: " THIS IS GOOD, IT IS REALLY GOOD!"
THE KING SAID: NO, THIS IS NOT GOOD, I HAD YOU LOCKED UP IN PRISON FOR SAYING:
" THIS IS GOOD, IT IS REALLY GOOD!" WHEN MY THUMB WAS CUT OFF.
The King said: THIS IS NOT GOOD, YOU HAVE BEEN IN PRISON.
THE SERVANT SAID: " THIS IS GOOD, IT IS REALLY GOOD!"
The King said, HOW IS THIS GOOD?
The servant said: " THIS IS GOOD, IT IS REALLY GOOD!" IF I HAD BEEN WITH YOU, WHEN
THEY REJECTED YOU BECAUSE OF YOUR MISSING THUMB, THEY WOULD HAVE
COOKED ME AND ATE ME. " THIS IS GOOD, IT IS REALLY GOOD!"
Life is about YOUR ATTITUDES. Your attitudes will determine your ALTITUDE...
YOU ARE NOT A TURKEY, YOU ARE A EAGLE TO SOAR ABOVE THE STORMS.
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known unto God.
Philippians 4:6 (NLT) Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what
you need, and thank him for all he has done.
Philippians 4:6 (MSG) Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape
your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.
9. WHILE MANY SEEM TO LOSE THEIR ETERNAL VALUE SYSTEM, WE MUST LEARN:
LOVE GIVES...
GOD GAVE HIS BEST:
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
You can love without giving, BUT YOU CAN NEVER LOVE WITHOUT GIVING...
Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together,
and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal
it shall be measured to you again.
Luke 6:38 (NLT) Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down,
shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you
give will determine the amount you get back.”
10. THERE IS A BYPASSING OF THE OLD PATHS AND ESTABLISHING NEW NORMS.
BEWARE... TITHING IS IN GOD'S PLAN...
Malachi 3:8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed
thee? In tithes and offerings. 9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this
whole nation. 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house,
and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven,
and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your
ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
THOSE THAT WOULD RE-WRITE TRUTH SAY: THIS IS OLD TESTAMENT?
WAIT JUST A SECOND, THE WORD TITHES COME OVER JESUS' LIPS ON
MORE THAN ONE OCCASION.
TRY IT, GOD INVITES MAN TO TRY THE TITHING, 10% principle and see if it
works.
DO I HAVE TO PAY TITHES? NO YOU GET TO...
GOD INVITES YOU TO BECOME HIS PARTNER...
PAYING TITHES IS LIKED UNTO PAYING RENT...
A RENTER SAYS: I AM NOT THE OWNER, I AM THE STEWARD OF GOD'S PLAN.
11. ANOTHER TRUTH THAT IS BEING ATTACK IS SUBMISSION, SERVANTHOOD.
UNDERSTAND THE PECKING ORDER OF GOD IS NOT ABOUT PECKING...
GOD'S VALUE SYSTEM IS MUCH DIFFERENT FROM THE WORLD...
THE BOSS GIVES THE ORDERS IS IN THE PECKING ORDER...
Matthew 23:11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
THERE IS COMING A DAY WHEN A GREAT TURN AROUND WILL CHANGE
THE SYSTEM THAT WE KNOW... MANY WILL BE PLACED IN THE BACK OF
THE LINE.
Matthew 19:30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
Matthew 20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called,
but few chosen.
MEGA CHURCH, MEGA MILLIONAIRES WILL WATCH AS LITTLE, NOBODY
SERVANTS LEAD THE PARADE... TO THE FEET OF JESUS...
12. BEWARE OF THE HYPOCRITICAL ATTITUDE OF LIP-SERVICE...
WILL OUR ACTIONS MATCH OUR WORDS?
Matthew 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me
with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
Mark 7:6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites,
as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
James 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak,
slow to wrath:
