Summary: Know that God is the true foundation.

WHERE ARE YOU BUILT ARE BUILDING?

Matthew 7: 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

Habakkuk 2: 10 Thou hast consulted shame to thy house by cutting off many people, and hast sinned against thy soul.

11 For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it.

(1) Too many people are building.

On false ground not solid rock

Too many are trusting man not God.

(2) Listen to the Lord.

Psalms 18: 2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

Psalms 81: 3 For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me.

(3) The Children of Israel followed the Rock.

1st Cor.10: 4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Christ never left them alone

He made sure they were safe at all times

He was their fortress

He was their Guide.

(4) He is our salvation our only defence.

Psalms 62: 6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.

7 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

When I am weak he is strong

When I need to hide he covers me.

He is our Glory

(4) We need to Praise him.

Who is the Lord (our Rock)

He is our Salvation

2nd Samuel22: 32 For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?

Psalms 28: 1 (A Psalm of David.) Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.

Hear me o Lord answer me don’t be silent

1st Peter2: 4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

We are Children Precious.

5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

Revelations 6: 15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
