Jehova Rapha

The Lord who heals… Our God is able to meet every need.

Introduction: #23

The scars of abuse

The society that we live in today is in need for the miracle Healing power of God. Society has grown, and matured In technology and progressed in economy. And these times that seem to be so stable are actually really unstable. America can proclaim we have come a long way, Many suffer from history. Today people groups are suing people groups for treatment of the past, and after the millions that are paid out, will never heal the hurt from the past.

Society has shown it’s scars through violence and separation, but only Jesus has the power to heal the wounds of the past.

Only the Lord is able to meet our need for healing, but not just physically, but emotionally, we as a child can endure abuse, the bruises, the cuts but the bruises to the emotions is what the Lord is concerned with.

Jehova Rapha – “The God who Heals” #24

Ps 147:3

3 He heals the brokenhearted

And binds up their wounds.

Luke 4:18

18 "The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me,

Because He has anointed Me

To preach the gospel to the poor;

He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,

To proclaim liberty to the captives

And recovery of sight to the blind,

To set at liberty those who are oppressed;

Isa 53:4-5

4 Surely He has borne our griefs

And carried our sorrows;

Yet we esteemed Him stricken,

Smitten by God, and afflicted.

5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,

He was bruised for our iniquities;

The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,

And by His stripes we are healed.

Jehova Rapha - The God who heals, let us not only limit him to physical healing…

Man on the roof, Inward pain, the grief of sin. Broken spirit.

Mark 2:4-5

4 And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying.

5 When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, "Son, your sins are forgiven you."

Jesus dealt with the real healing, he could’ve laid hands on him and done a quick miracle, but we serve a God who looks upon the heart. This man was in pain, emotional pain, suffering from guilt and condemnation of sin, and Jesus healed him with Forgiveness.

Brother Tom Morgan – Manic Depressent Walking the streets…

Eph 1:6-7

6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved.

7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

that was his healing, acceptance through forgiveness. – Jehova Rapha – The God who heals

People continue to afflict themselves because they are afflicted, they afflict others and wound others because they are wounded.

There are four things that will bring Healing power of God into your life….

Point One: Reveal my Hurt #26

Many Times we hold things in We disquise it as patience but Things build up….

Ps 39:2-3

2 I was mute with silence,

I held my peace even from good;

And my sorrow was stirred up.

3 My heart was hot within me;

While I was musing, the fire burned.

Then I spoke with my tongue:

Job 18:4

4 You who tear yourself in anger,

Shall the earth be forsaken for you?

Or shall the rock be removed from its place?

We must reveal our hurt, be honest unto God, It is not sin to hurt, but that hurt will turn in to bitterness, a wound that is never healed.

Point Two: Release those who have hurt me #30

We must learn to release, release, release – 70 X 7…

Rom 12:17-21

17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men.

18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.

19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord.

20 Therefore

"If your enemy is hungry, feed him;

If he is thirsty, give him a drink;

For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head."

21 Do not be overcome (enslaved) by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Heb 12:15

15 See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.

Point Three: Replace the old tapes with God’s Truth #34

We are plagued with the old thoughts of the past, we hinder new relationships and the dare of meeting new friends has been extinguished, because we play the same movie in our minds over and over.

Rom 12:2

2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Ps 51:10

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God,

And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Ezek 18:31-32

31 Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Israel?

Point Four: Refocus on the future #37

Forgetting those things that are behind, and reaching forward to those things that are before.

Conclusion: Reach out to help others #40

How can our pain be a benefit to others, healing comes as you comfort others…

2 Cor 1:3-4

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

Counseling forever.
