You Still Have Room For A Miracle In Your Life!
II Ki 3:15-20
15 "But now bring me a musician." Then it happened, when the musician played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him.
16 And he said, "Thus says the LORD: ’Make this valley full of ditches.’
17 "For thus says the LORD: ’You shall not see wind, nor shall you see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, so that you, your cattle, and your animals may drink.’
18 "And this is a simple matter in the sight of the LORD; He will also deliver the Moabites into your hand.
19 "Also you shall attack every fortified city and every choice city, and shall cut down every good tree, and stop up every spring of water, and ruin every good piece of land with stones."
20 Now it happened in the morning, when the grain offering was offered, that suddenly water came by way of Edom, and the land was filled with water.
Life at times is hard. Simple enough isn’t it!
The difficult thing to do is recognize that you are at the end of your ability to solve your problem.
Too many people keep trying to make it better and only end up making things worse than they were in the beginning.
A powerful thing occurs when you realize that you can’t do anymore yourself. You make room for God.

12 years is a long time to feel bad. To be sick and removed from everyday society is double difficult.
She tried everything that she could to become whole.
The Talmud lists at least 11 cures for this trouble. Such as:
Carrying the ashes of an ostrich egg in a linen bag in summer and a cotton rag in the winter.
Put alum in wine and drink it.
Sit at a crossroads with a glass of wine in her hand and have some one come up and scare her.
Dig seven ditches and burn grapevines that are less than four years old. Sit in the smoke.
Nonsensical. All of man’s attempts failed to help her.
Finally. If I can just get to Jesus and touch the hem of his garment.
Made whole.
Jesus is the answer for your life. Today.
Nothing else has the ability or the power to influence you like he does.
Jesus holds all power in heaven and earth!
People in money trouble looking for a quick fix turn to gambling. End up losing money they borrowed to bet with!
I know a lady in another part of this state that lost her home, her husband’s truck, her car and all that they owned. Her problem was never realized as being beyond her ability to fix it.
Somebody needs to hear what I am preaching to you today.
Your problem is beyond your ability to fix. You need Jesus!
Valley.
Took a rounda bout way to get to the valley. They were fighting an age-old enemy of Israel.
Moabites. Hated of God. Enemy of all good.
Israel. Judah. Thirsty.
Elisha. Get me a minstrel.
Music. Worship. It is a good thing to know that you can worship your way into the presence of God when you are in trouble.
Something that we need to practice more of.
If they would have marched on to try and find water on their own, they would have died.
Valley had a dry riverbed in it.
Prophet. Make this valley full of ditches.
Dig shoots off of this dry riverbed.
There is not any water in it now, but come morning when God is through, there will be water everywhere.
No other options remained.
Digging ditches is hard, hot work. Especially when there is no water available.
It is but a small thing to God.
What ever you are facing is no big deal to God!
It’s no big deal.
Great sin? Forgiven.
Horrible illness? Healed.
Malady, perplexing situations? No big deal. God can handle it.
Their efforts in the midst of their need illustrated their faith in the word of God.
We need to illustrate our faith in God today!
Demoniac. If there was ever anyone that was beyond a miracle. This is the man!
Yet in just a few moments, an encounter with Jesus had brought a miracle into his life! Delivered and in his right mind.
There is still room for a miracle in your life this morning!
