Summary: Our status will change many times over the years; one day it will be this and the next day it will be that; are we prepared for the final change?

What a difference a day makes!

Our status will change many times over the years; one day it will be this and the next it will be that; are we prepared for the final change?

We know what some of those changes will be:

Going to school-Graduation, Single-Married, Husband/Wife-Father/Mother, No money-Plenty of money, Citizen-Senior Citizen, Working-Retired, Married-Widowed, Healthy-Sick, Happy-Sad, Active-Inactive,

Alive-Dead, Going to Hell-Going to Heaven.

Some of these we have control over, others we do not. We must be prepared for and willing to change. Our Eternal Life depends on it!

Theme: Marking time or delaying is the most lethal manner of rejection!

1. Denial Today.

a.We want everything in a hurry today except Salvation.

b.The Devil wants us to believe that there is no hurry and that we have plenty of time.

c.Faith is not easy; it is a constant struggle of the body, mind and soul.

d.But we must work hard, for the reward is Heaven, here and hereafter.

2. Disappointment Tomorrow.

a.Many will stand before Jesus and try to justify why they should be allowed into Heaven.

b. But Jesus has set the precepts for entrance into Heaven and there is no mitigating circumstance that will allow anyone entrance after death.

c.He will tell those who failed to make reservations on Earth that there is no place in Heaven for them.

d.He will tell them to go away because of their failure to secure those reservations in advance.

e.He will tell them they are evildoers.

3. Disaster Forever.

a.Those who are refused entry into Heaven by Jesus, will see into Heaven, they will see the Prophets of Old.

b.They will know what they could have had.

c.There will be weeping.

d.There will be wailing.

e.There will gnashing of teeth.

4. There is no time to waste, today is the Day of Your Salvation; Man or Woman, Boy or Girl, Young or Old. Today is the Day!

5. No one can pray or pay you out of going to Hell once you die.

6. What a difference a day makes!

7. Amazing Grace how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me, I once was lost but now am found, was blind but now I see.

Oliver Wendell Homes said “ I find the great thing in this world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving: To reach the port of heaven, we must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it—but we must sail, and not drift, not lie at anchor.”

In New York City a Street Evangelist was urging those who could or would listen to him to flee from the wrath of God to come. “ I warn you,” he roared, “that there will be weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth!” An old woman in the crowd shouted snidely: “ Sir, I have no teeth!” “Lady,” the evangelist retorted, “ teeth will be provided!” --Matthew Thomas, Jr., Lynchburg, VA. Christian Reader, “Lite Fare.”

Final point: The choice is yours, Heaven now or Hell later!
