INDECISION 2OOO CONTINUES: WHERE ARE WE? (CNN PRINTOUT)

Has all the political wrangling made you mad? I am not talking about the definition of mad as in angry or frustrated. I am talking about the definition of mad as in insane, without control of one’s emotions. I am thoroughly mad and mad! I wonder what I will do between 2:30 and 4:00 am when this thing is over?

One of the scariest thoughts I have had during this whole post election circus is, how powerful are lawyers and political entities, and how insignificant is the average person?

The powers at be are staggering and the spin-doctors are amazing, and who wins, really, who wins?

TRANSITION THOUGHT: As strange as it may seem, this political maneuvering is nothing new. It has been occurring for literally thousands of years. Whenever there is a new political power rising to the national front, the powers that be, the status quo, will oppose vehemently. As we look together at the life of Daniel, a Hebrew in exile in Babylon, we can see the exact debacle taking place there. But, the outcomes might be different for Daniel?

LESSONS LEARNED:

 EVEN WHEN YOU MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS: STUFF HAPPENS

 INTEGRITY DOES NOT PROTECT US FROM ASSUALT

 MALCONTENTS ARE ALWAYS A PART OF THE SCENERY

 THE CROWD “AS A GROUP” ARE NOT ALWAYS IN THE RIGHT

 EVEN OUR FRIENDS CAN BE USED AGAINST US IN A COURT OF LAW

 WHEN OPPOSITION COMES, STICK TO THE BASICS/THE ROUTINE

 ROUTINE IS THE SUBSTANCE OF LIFE

 SOMETIMES OUR FRIENDS CAN’T GET US OUT OF TROUBLE AND IT IS A GOOD THING!

 WE CAN BE IN THE CENTER OF GOD’S WILL AND IN A PIT WITH HUNGRY LIONS

 OUR WITNESS WILL STAND IF WE HAVE A WITNESS

 GOD ALWAYS STANDS WITH HIS SERVANTS REGARDLESS OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES

 THOSE WHO OPPOSE GOD WILL ALWAYS LOSE IN THE END!

 GOD WILL BE EXALTED IN ALL THE EARTH

CONCLUSION: Finding focus is the continual struggle of life. Our political system seems to have lost it. During the holiday season, it is often hard for us to find focus. Focus is not getting all our shopping done by December 24. Daniel found focus and it carried him through all of his life. He did not seek greatness, it found him out. Why? Daniel focused on the Lord his God and the rest was added. Where is your focus?
