Summary: We must speak well of God’s church, God’s people, and God’s servants to promote a positive and healthy atmosphere within and without the church.

***A little boy just got saved and sat on a bench next to old man who looked upset. The little boy said to the man, "Sir, do you need to get saved?"

The man startled said abruptly, "I’ll tell you I’ve been a Deacon in this church for over 30 years and Chairman of Deacons for 15 years."

The little boy responded, "Sir , it don’t matter what you done, Jesus loves you and He’ll still save you!"

I. SPEAK WELL OF GOD’S CHURCH!

A. In order to reach the lost and unchurched in our community…..

- family…..friends…..neighbors….

B. In order to encourage wayward or disinterested church members…..

C. Remember……It’s God’s Church…….

II. SPEAK WELL OF YOUR PASTOR!

A. You may not like your Pastor but God called him here….

B. It’ll encourage your Pastor to try harder…..

C. It’ll encourage folks to want to come.

Curiosity gets ‘em everytime….

***A Pastor friend took his first church and walked over on Sun. morning and there were no cars!!!

He walked in the building and there were about 20 folks inside the church. They had little parking and for years would walk to church to save parking spaces.

The pastor said that noone would think they were having church. So he talked with a friend at a used car lot and asked him to park about ten of his cars on the church lot while also encouraging church members to bring their vehicles. As a result they drew more visitors who said they noticed a lot of cars at the church and came to see what was going on!

III. SPEAK WELL OF YOUR BRETHREN!

A. If you judge your brother you may fall under the same judgement…..

B. Why do we shoot our wounded? …..stirs up pride within ourselves….

IV. SPEAK WELL OF YOUR LORD!

A. Let people know what Christ has done for you……

B. Show people what you do for Him…..
