Summary: Praises for the Attributes of God from Affectionate to the Bread of Life

15. Affectionate – I praise you Lord for being so tender, kind and loving. “If there is an encouragement in Christ, any affection and love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love.” (Phil. 2:1,2)

16. Almighty – Lord, I praise you for being the King and Almighty God. Thank you for what Moses wrote, “Because of your father’s God, who helps you because of the Almighty, who blesses you with blessings of the heavens above, blessings of the deep that lies below.” (Gen 49:25) Thank you for the reminder from Job, “Does God pervert justice? Does the Almighty pervert what is right? (Job 8:5) Thank you that “The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives life.” (Job 33:4)

17. Alpha and Omega – Lord, I praise you for being the beginning and the end despite how my perceptions distort truth. Thank you that you said, “I am the Alpha and Omega, says the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” (Rev. 1:8)

18. Amazing God – I praise you Lord for causing people to be so filled with wonder at your greatness and love. “Let all the earth fear the Lord, let all the people of the world revere Him. For He spoke and it came to be; He commanded and it stood firm. The Lord foils the plans of the nations; He thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of His heart through all generations.” (Psa. 33:8-11)

19. Amen – I praise you Lord for being the “So be it” to every situation. “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation.” (Rev. 3:14)

20. Ancient of Days – Everlasting Father – I praise you Lord that as the Ancient of Days (Dan 7:9), the Everlasting Father who lives forever and ever, the prince of Peace.” (Isa. 9:6) Thank you that you are the same yesterday, today and forever so I do not have to live with insecurity.

21. Anger – I praise you Lord for your righteous wrath against all that is not in accordance with your will. “Since we have been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through Him.” (Rom. 5:9)

22. Anointed One – I praise you Lord for being the One who is especially endowed with the Spirit’s oil of blessing. “The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the Lord and against His anointed one. Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed.” (Acts 4:26,27)

23. Anointer – I praise you Lord for knowing how to apply the oil of your Holy Spirit’s healing, gladness and refreshment when it is needed. John wrote, “You have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.” (I John 2:20)

28. Arm of the Lord – I praise you Lord for being the strong arm of God’s power and purpose as an extension of Him. “Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? 29. Arouser – I praise you Lord for knowing how to stir up interest in your will. “The woman gave birth to a boy and named him Samson. He grew and the Lord blessed him. And the Spirit of the Lord began to stir him while he was in Mahaneh Dan, between Zorah and Eshtaol.” (Judges 13:24,25)

30. Articulator – I praise you Lord for enabling me to clearly articulate your message and truth to those who need to understand your will for their life. When Moses said, “O Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue. The Lord said to him, ‘Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” (Ex. 4:11,12) Thank you Lord for giving me the ability to clearly express your meaning in a fluent manner that helps people learn more of Your character, priorities and power.

37. Awesome – I praise you Lord for being awesome so that you are full of wonder and fearful in your majesty. As David I say, “Let us praise your great and awesome name – He is holy.” (Psa. 99:3) Praise you that You provided redemption for His people; He ordained His covenant forever – holy and awesome is His name.” (Psa. 111:9)

38. Balanced – I praise you Lord for the fact that you are whole, complete and perfectly balance. Dr. Luke wrote of Jesus, “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men.” (Lk. 2:52) Thank you Jesus for teaching me how to keep from getting out of balance.

39. Balanced God of Love and Punishment – Praise you Lord that you know how to perfectly balance love and punishment. Thank you for the promise, “You show love to thousands but bring punishment for the fathers sins into the laps of their children after them. O great and powerful God, whose name is the Lord Almighty, great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds. Your eyes are open to all the ways of men; you reward everyone according to his conduct and as his deeds deserve.” (Jer. 32:18,19)

40. Banner – I praise you for being the slogan and headline of my life. Moses built an altar and called it The Lord is my Banner. He said, ‘For hands were lifted up to the throne of the Lord. The Lord will be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation.” (Ex. 17:15,16) Thank you God for giving me my identity and protection.

41. Bear Robbed of Her Cubs – I praise you Lord for being my great protector since you have such vested interest in me. “Like a bear robbed of her cubs, I will attack them and rip them open. Like a lion I will devour them; a wild animal will tear them apart.” (Hosea 13:8)

42. Beautiful One – I praise you Lord that you are more beautiful than anyone or anything. Thank you for the promise, “One thing I ask of the Lord this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple.” (Psa. 27:4) I worship you Lord in the beauty of your holiness.

44. Bestower of Good Gifts – I praise you Lord that you are the giver of every perfect gift. James wrote, “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” (James 1:17)

45. Beyond Human Understanding – I give glory to you for being a God that is above finite human understanding. Moses wrote, “God replied, “Why do you ask my name? It is beyond understanding.” (Judges 13:18)

46. Birds Hovering Overhead – I praise you Lord for your constant supervisory protection and oversight. “Like the birds hovering overhead, the Lord Almighty will shield Jerusalem; he will shield it and deliver it, he will pass over it and will rescue it.” (Isa. 31:5) Thank you Lord for your constant reminder of your supervision.

47. Blameless – I praise you Lord for being above reproach in every way. “What is truth? Pilate asked. With this he went out again to the Jews and said, ‘I find no basis for a charge against Him.” (John 18:38)

48. Blessed God – Praise you Father for the fact that we need to conform ourselves to the glorious gospel of the blessed God. (I Tim. 1:11) Thank you Lord for being the penultimate blessing.

49. Blesser – Father, I praise you that you have blessed me with every spiritual blessing in Christ so that I do not have to depend on people for their approval, favors or provisions. I thank you for the promise from Ephesians 1:3 which says, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.” I honor you that you know how to bless us without adding any sorrow unlike those who are in the world.

50. Bread of God – I praise you Lord for being my spiritual nourishment. “Jesus said to them, ‘I tell you the truth, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” (Jn. 6:32,33)
