1.PURPOSE
Philippians 2:13
God works in us to fulfill His plan and purpose.We must not expect Him to work in our lives to fulfill our plans and purposes if they contradict God’s plans and purposes.Let us yield our lives to God to fulfill His plan and purpose.
2.PREPARATION
Jeremiah 18:1-6 Romans 9:20-21
God works in our lives to prepare us to be used as a vessel in His Hands.He is the potter and we are the clay.He will mould us according to His will.If we are not fully cooperating with Him we may be like the clay which was marred in the potter’s hand and God would have to shape us into a different vessel and change His original plan.It is His mercy that He does not discard us but continues to shape us.
3.PERFORMANCE
Ephesians 2:10
God works in us to make us a channel of blessing to others.We are His workmanship created for good works.The work of God in our lives will make us a blessing to others and we will be rich in good works .
4.POWER
Colossians 1:29 Ephesians 3:20
God works in us through His power and enables us to accomplish great things for His glory.We cannot work effectively for God in our human strength and wisdom.The work of God through us is done through His power which works mightily in us.
5.PART
I Corinthians 12:11, 14-26
God works in us and gives us a part to fulfill in His kingdom. God decides what He wants us to do. He determines what kind of ministry He wants us to fulfill.Like a human body which has many different parts we also are given many diferent kinds of ministry to fulfill.We should not be envious of somebody else nor should we despise the role given to others.God gives each one of us the part we have to fulfill in His Kingdom.
6.PROVED
I Corinthians 3:11-15
God works in us to test and prove our labours for Him. Everyone will have their works tried by fire and only those whose works are not destroyed by the fire will get a reward.Others whose works are destroyed by fire will lose all their reward.Works done with wrong motives and wrong means will finally prove to be in vain.
7.PERFECTION
Philippians 1:6
God works in us to lead us to perfection.He who began a good work in us will continue it until the day of Christ.He will not stop halfway but continue to work in us until we attain maturity and perfection.
