KEYS TO DELIVERANCE FROM DIFFICULTIES AND PROBLEMS.
1.PERSISTANCE.
Luke 18;1-7 ,
Persistance is a powerful key that brings deliverance in our lives.The widow who wanted justice from an unjust judge had no other weapon with her except a persistant attitude.She kept on requesting the judge until finally he agreed to grant her request.In our own lives some problems do not go away easily .We must persist in our efforts and prayers and intercession until we get the deliverance. Moses had to send ten plagues before Pharoh agreed to let the Israelites go from Egypt.Therefore we have to keep trying without giving up until we get deliverance.
2.POSITIVE ATTITUDE
Luke 23;39-43
A positive attitude helps us to get deliverance.The two theives on the cross had different attitudes. One had a negative attitude and was speaking angrily to Jesus to save them all if he was Christ.The other thief had a better attitude even in his suffering. He rebuked the other thief and humbly requested Jesus to remember Him.Jesus showed mercy on Him and took him to paradise. Both the thieves had the same opportunity. But one lost his chance because of his attitude.Even in our lives we will miss many blessings if we grumble and murmur against God in our times of trouble.But we can receive God’s mercy and favour if
we humble ourselves and approach Him with faith and confidence.
3.PROGRESSIVE THINKING
Philippians 3;12-14
Progressive thinking helps us to be delivered.Some people are still in bondage because they are still controlled by their past. The failures, disappointments,sorrows, hurts and pain of the past are still controlling them. They are unwilling to forget the past.This kind of bondage to the past will prevent them from going forward in their life. Apostle Paul made rapid progress in his life because he did not carry the heavy burden of the past. He said ’I forget the past and press on towards the future’.No matter what has happened in the past we must not lose hope for the future.We must be progressive in our thinking.
4.PATIENCE
Matthew 24;48-51 , James 5;7-8
Patience is a powerful key to deliverance.When we lose patience we lose hope and act recklessly.A farmer waits expectantly for the harvest.He does not lose hope before harvest time and live carelessly.Even in our lives in order to get deliverance we must be patient till we get it.We must not lose hope before the time.God revealed to Abraham that the people of Israel wil be in bondage for
400 years until the iniquity of the Amorites is full.Therefore the people of Israel had to wait till the appointed time before they could get deliverance.Further the iniquity of the Amorites becoming full was related to the deliverance of the Israelities.Thus we see that many things are inter-connected before the deliverance comes.Very often we see only our difficulties and problems.We fail to understand that many other things could be related to this issue. But God sees the whole picture and he makes all things work together for good when we trust Him.
5.PRACTICAL APPROACH
Ecclesiastes 7;16-17 , I Timothy 5;23 , Matthew 15;32
A practical approach helps us to be delivered from the Problems we face.Some times people refuse to be practical and try to be super spiritual.The Bible says’do not be overrighteous and destroy yourself’.We must use wisdom and commonsense to do what we have to do.Paul advised Timothy to use a little wine for his stomach’s sake.Jesus did not send the multitude away without feeding them. He did not want them to faint in hunger on their way back.There are practical things that we must do in order to be delivered. An over righteous or
super spiritual attitude which prevents us from doing our duty will only destroy us.
6.PLANNING
Proverbs 24;3-6 , Luke 14;28-32
Planning is very important to get deliverance.In the Old Testament God gave his people a plan and strategy every time they went to war.He gave a plan for taking Jericho. When they followed that plan the walls of jericho fell down. similarly for every battle a specific plan was given. Even in our lives we must have a plan for our deliverance.We must ask God to show us the way out of our difficulties. When we follow the way that God shows us we will get delivered.Apostle Paul said that he did not fight as one that beats the air. Therefore we must not act blindly but follow a specific plan for deliverance.
7.PLEASING BEHAVIOUR
John 8;29 , I John 3;22 , Matthew 3;16-17
When our life is pleasing to God we can have confidence that He will deliver us. Jesus said ’My Father does not leave me alone because I always do what is pleasing to Him’ .When we please God we find Favour in His eyes.We have the confidence that we will receive what we ask of Him.Let us walk well pleasing to God and receive mercy and favour and deliverance from Him.
