SECRETS OF PROSPERITY : MY GOD SHALL SUPPLY ALL YOUR NEED

1)SUPPLY

Philippians 4:10-19

The Philippian church was given the promise ’My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus’.This church was a giving church which was eagerly waiting for opportunities to give. No other church communicated with Apostle Paul concerning giving and receiving. They loved to give. This church received the promise that God would supply all their need. When we have a generous heart in giving to God we have the promise that God would supply all our need.

2.SUPPORT

Acts 20:35 I Kings 17:11-16 Luke 5:1-7 John 6:5-13

The beleivers in the early church were encouraged to support the needy. They were reminded of the words of Jesus ’ It is more blessed to give than to receive ’. Giving opens a way to receive God’s blessing. The widow of zarepath gave her last meal to Elijah and received an abundant supply of food which lasted all through the famine.Peter gave his boat for Jesus to use after a disapointing experience of catching no fish and was rewarded with an abundant catch of fish. The little boy gave his five loaves and two fishes to Jesus and was rewarded with an abundance of food which fed the whole multitude with plenty leftover. Surely they experienced that it is more blessed to give than to receive.

3.SOW

II Corinthians 9:5-13

The Corinthian church was encouraged to minister to the saints. They were taught that those who sow bountifully shall reap bountifully. They were exhorted not to give grudingly or of necessity but cheerfully because God loves a cheerful giver.Their giving not only met the needs of the saints but enabled them to experience God’s abundance and be fruitful in every good work.In return they were also supported by the prayers of the grateful recipients of their giving. We must give generously and cheerfully to experience God’s abundance and reap a bountiful harvest.

4.SURPLUS

Luke 6:38

Jesus taught his disciples to give generously. He said’ Give and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over shall men give into your bosom .For with what measure you mete , it shall be measured to you again ’. He promised that those who give will receive in such abundance that it will run over. Not only will their needs be met but they will have a surplus to help others.

5.STOREHOUSE

Malachi 3:8-12

God asks His people to bring their tithes and offerings to His storehouse and prove Him. He promises to open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing which we cannot even contain. He promises to rebuke the devourer for our sakes so that we do not experience needless destruction and loss.God takes tithing seriously and considers it a robbery if we fail to give ten percent of our income as a tithe which belongs to Him.Failure to tithe causes a curse on our lives. We must keep our covenant of tithing ten percent of our income to God and God will be faithful to pour out His abundant blessings on us.

6.SACRIFICE

John 3:16 Romans 8:32

God is a generous God. He loved the world so much that He gave His only begotten Son.And if He spared not His Son but gave him up for us how much more will He freely give everything else that we need. We enjoy God’s blessings because God has a heart to give.We are saved because God sacrificially gave His Son for us.Having enjoyed so many blessings because of the generous nature of God we must reflect the same quality in our own lives. We would be in a pathetic state if God hardens his heart towards us and refuses to give us anything .We must display the same generous attitude of God in our lives by giving sacrificially .

7.SCATTER

Proverbs 11:24-25

The Bible talks about those who scatter and yet increase. It also talks about those withold beyond necessity and are brought towards poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat and he that waters shall be watered unto. Miserliness and stinginess will pull us towards poverty and lack. But generosity and liberality brings us towards abundance. When we reach out to help others we open a door for us to receive help for ourselves. We can increase by scattering our seeds of generous giving to bless others.
