Summary: We live in a world of seminars and self help programs, but the greatest program ever created to help us become worry free and happy comes from Jesus.

The Four Step Program To Become Worry Free & Happy

Introduction: We live in a world of seminars and self help programs. Just turn on your TV, and you can find a seminar in a city near you which will solve all your problems simply by attending and learning the latest successful program. The cost is usually a real bargain, too. It doesn’t matter whether your problem is financial, physical, emotional or spiritual. Someone somewhere has written a book or developed a program that is just what you need to become successful and happy. Be sure to watch the TV, radio and newspaper, so you can find out when that author will be in town. You can discover the answers to all your problems only if you attend one of these wonderful seminars. Does any of this sound familiar. Well, today I want to present to you the greatest program ever created to become worry free and happy.

Prayer:

Reading of the Word: Matthew 6:30-34

Matthew 6:

30: "Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

31: "Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?"

32: "(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things."

33: "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

34: "Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."

You will find more truth here in these simple verses than you will find in all of the manmade programs from the beginning of time to our modern age of technology. Jesus told many parables to make a point to His listeners. In that same spirit, I want to present his teachings as the world might present them today:

The Four Step Program To Become Worry Free & Happy

(From "The Don’t Worry, Be Happy Seminar")

Presented by Author Jesus Christ, G.P.(Great Physician)

This four step program is based on the world’s most successful seminar ever presented by anyone before or since. The highly successful "Creator" of the program also authored the best selling book of all times. It is in this book , "The Holy Bible", that the program may be studied in greater detail from beginning to end, but the basic program itself is found in verses 30-34 of the sixth chapter of the section known as Matthew. Jesus is "believed" by many to be much more than just another great author and physician. He has been called Master, Teacher, Savior, Lord, King, Creator, Father, God, Comforter and Friend. There have been many other great titles attached to His name, though there is insufficient space here to list them all.

The four step program has been tested and proven successful by many great scholars through the ages, and yet, the "Good News" is that you don’t have to be highly educated to be successful in this program. I have tested it in my own life, and I am as simple minded as they come. It works as well for the uneducated as it does for the highly educated.

Though I used a little bit of humor in the introduction, the program is very serious, and I do recommend it to everyone who has ever had a problem of any kind. I believe it covers all problems, including financial, physical, emotional or spiritual. Seriously, here is the "The Four Step Program To Become Worry Free & Happy":

Step #1: Seek God’s Kingdom & Righteousness (Focus on Him, not the need.)

Matthew 6:33: "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

Step #2: Trust God’s Wisdom & Faithfulness (He always knows & takes care of all our needs.)

Matthew 6:30: "Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Matthew 6:32: "(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things."

Step #3: Don’t Worry (Don’t doubt God, He is in control of today, tomorrow & beyond.)

Matthew 6:31: "Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?"

Matthew 6:34: "Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."

Step #4: Be Happy (As any loving father, it makes God happy to see His children happy. He knows everything about us including what makes us happy. By meeting our needs, He frees us from worry, so we can love Him by loving others. Then, we can enter into the joy of the Lord and true happiness.)

Matthew 25:21: "His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord."

John 15:10: "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love."

John 15:11: "These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full."

Conclusion: I really do believe this program will work for anyone who tries it, because the creator of it also created you and I. Though, Jesus never really called it a program, I believe the truth in it does more to set you free to be happy than any program you could learn from any book or seminar. The key isn’t in the program, it is in the truth of the program. It is in Him, Jesus Christ.

Invitation: Simply put, a worry free and happy life only comes by inviting Jesus Christ to take control of everything in your life, starting with yourself. I invite you to listen to His voice this morning as Greg comes to give you the hymn of invitation. Whatever He is telling you to do this morning, please don’t hesitate to do.

Stand & pray:
