Summary: There are many ingredients in True Worship, but there are 4 most notable.

We are told all throughout the Holy Bible that we are to Love and Worship God, and we are given a complete step by step method of how we are to Love God, but never given a complete set of instructions of how to worship God. What is meant by the term Worship? Do we really understand what Worship is? To get a better understanding of what Worship is, let’s start by looking at what Worship is not.

Worship is not: limited to the church house.

Worship is not: limited to the amount of time

set aside for church service.

Worship is not: limited to the three services in

any given week.

Worship is not: merely a thing that we do

occasionally, but it is a way of life.

Worship should be an everyday event in which we experience the Holiness and Righteousness of Almighty God! Our body, soul, and spirit being over flowed by the Shekinah glory of God in his acceptance of our worship. This is what "Living Large" is all about. You and I, experiencing the fulness of Almighty God.

Christians should always have a smile on their face, regardless of circumstance, burden, or suffering they have to bear. God is still God, and he is worthy of our Worship in the bad times as well as in the good times. Read I Thess.5:16-18. V16. "Rejoice evermore."

We can rejoice because our names are written in the Lamb’s book of life, we have the promise of his coming again to receive us unto himself and to live with him forevermore in the home that he has prepared for us in heaven. V17. "Pray without ceasing." Christians should always have a prayer on their heart, we never run out of anything to pray for or about. V18. "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." This should be the constant condition of our heart, humbly giving thanks unto God and in all things.

Oswald Chambers said:

Worship is giving God the best that he has given you.

Out of the many different things that contribute to Worship, let’s look at and consider these four.

Worship is:

By giving Praise.

By giving Thanksgiving.

By being in Communion.

By keeping our Commitment.

1. By giving Praise.

How is God Praised?

V1. O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make

a joyful noise...

V2. Let us come before his presence with

thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him.

Why is God to be Praised?

V3-5.For the Lord is a great God, and a great King

above all Gods.

V6-7.Because he is God, he has all things in his

hands, and all power. We are the people of his

pasture, and the sheep of his hand.

2. By giving Thanksgiving.

What are we thankful for?

His Love, His Mercy, His Forgiveness, His Salvation.

Our Church Family & Personal Family, Our Christian

Friends & Friends, And for the Nation that we live

in, despite all its flaws. I’m thankful for what

Jesus has brought me from, brought me through, and

where he’s taking me from here!

3. By being in Communion.

How do we Worship by Communion?

Communion: is a sharing or being close to someone

or something, in this case, its being in a personal

fellowship with God through our Lord and Savior

Jesus Christ. This kind of Communion is the

intimate relationship that we have with Almighty

God! Intimate means our Praying, Serving,

Witnessing, Sharing, Giving, all for His Glory.

4. By keeping your Commitment.

What is Commitment?

Bro. Webster says,(put in custody), give all to be

under the control of God, (to do), when we don’t,

and to (pledge or bind), ourselves under God’s

leadership and authority. A Commitment is more than

just a contribution, its a continuous element in

the Christian life.

I Peter 2:7, "Unto you therefore which believe he

is precious: but unto them which be disobedient,

the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is

made the head of the corner."

Phil. 3:8, "Yea doubtless, and I count all things

but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of

Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the

loss of all things, and do count them but dung,

that I may win Christ."

I Corinthians 2:2, "For I determined not to know

any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him

crucified."

How do we Worship by commitment?

By obeying God’s word, by yielding to the

leadership of the Holy Spirit, and by letting God

be God. Our serving God is an outward expression of

the inward commitment.

2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people, which are called

by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and

seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then

I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their

sin, and will heal their land."
