I. Go to the Answer and ask a question

J. Why is it like it is?

K. If you don’t fix it, would you please explain it, tell me why

L. We always want to cast the blame in another direction

M. None of this is to blame in this instance, God is going to get the glory out of this lifelong mess

N. The Lord’s answer was better than their question — it addressed not why it is the way it is but His answer said He’s not going to stay like that

O. God always gives you more than you ask for

P. Only the conductor of the orchestra, with the tap of his baton, can bring music out of chaos

Q. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

R. God knows how to get glory out of the most embarrassing situation in your life

S. The enemy meant it to take you out, but God is going to use it to take you through

T. He was in a mess but Jesus said I’m going to get him out of it

II. I AM the light of the world

A. In the face of the darkness of this man’s personal dilemma, Jesus says I am the light of the world — not I shall be

B. Even though things have blacked out for your circumstance, God’s character does not change — I AM THE LIGHT

C. You don’t have to wait until you get out to know I AM

D. I AM when it does not look like I will be — All hell is breaking loose but you know I AM

E. James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

F. God has not ceased to be who He is

G. You can’t see but I AM

III. Spit on the ground

A. When He told the man who He was, he did something unorthodox, a breach of pulpit etiquette, unprofessional

B. In the middle of a profound theological exegesis of an expositional text, He spat on the ground

C. Some times we are too tight and orderly — we got to break some rules

D. God does not always follow the program

E. He’ll do something that does not make sense, it is crazy, radical move of God — spitting on the ground

F. He spat on the thing we (flesh) came from

G. If you want victory you will do whatever it takes

H. If you are really in trouble, you’ll let Him no matter what it costs

1. Lay prostrate on the floor

2. Dance like a monkey

3. Leap like a kangaroo

4. Stand on your head

I. He made a mud pie and put it on his eyes

III. Between spitting and washing

A. At the end of his degradation, he still could not see — you must be ready for this stage of your walk with the Lord

B. He met the Lord, received the ministry of the Lord, was anointed but still could not see

C. Time period when He anoints you but it looks like it is not working

D. You must be willing to be anointed and:

1. Still wait

2. Be in the shadows

3. Be in the background

4. Be overlooked sometimes

5. Still can’t make it across the street

6. Ain’t got it all together

7. Know when your time will come

E. If God put it on you it will show up after while

F. It did not just start today — God has been working on a mud pie for a while

G. Don’t let the mud discourage you

H. If you’re willing to look muddy for a while, if you hold out He’ll bless you

I. What God did yesterday will work today, what He does today will work tomorrow — don’t be discouraged by the mud

J. It takes a long time for it to take effect, but what is in you will work its way out of you after while

K. You got it on you but you still can’t see — leave it on there until the blessing comes

L. He’s mixing up your “shall bes” and putting it on you

M. Don’t let your enemies laugh at you because of the mud — get ready while you still can’t see

N. Praise Him while you still got mud on your face

O. “You put your best on me but I’m still in trouble — I can’t see my way out — it ain’t working for me — everybody can see but me”

P. I still can’t see my way clear

Q. He said GO WASH in the pool Siloam

R. God will ask you to go where you can’t even see

T. Got to be willing to go where you can’t see

U. God’s got some things for you that you haven’t seen

V. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

W. When you can’t see, pull yourself along because He will bless you after while

Z. If I can make it to the pool, everything will be all right

IV. Wash in the pool

A. We’ve gathered around the pool

B. He’s going to show you why He put it in you a long time ago

C. Press your way to get to the waters

D. Watch out for the potholes, go for the pool

E. Feel water under my toes — Wash away my tears in the water of His Word

F. I can’t see how to do this, but Lord I’m here — a weaker blind man would not have made it to the pool

G. Some things God did for you then that you didn’t think were working

H. They laughed at your testimony — but you were moving to the pool

I. If you ain’t going to help me get there, get out of my way

J. Press to the pool

K. Philippians 3:12-14

12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

L. I can’t describe it because I can’t see it but I’m going after it — moving after something you can’t describe

M. I made up my mind to press on

N. I can’t explain what I’m looking / reaching for, but there is a place in God that I’m crawling towards

O. Mud is over my eyes, but I’m still moving

P. THAT — I want to apprehend whatever that longing in my soul is moving towards

Q. Don’t let nobody stop you because if you’re not too proud to crawl and say God I still want it

R. We were ready for it until now — we had to pass the mud test

S. Siloam means, sent purpose — from same word as apostle — refers to calling

T. That’s why the enemy fought you so hard — trying to stop you before you reached the pool

U. It is TOO LATE — I’m already in the water

V. He should have got me when he had the chance — I’ve already arrived at the waters of my miracle

W. Come out of darkness — the LIGHT has come, your time has come — your feet are touching the water
