Contentment is not a virtue if it removes the fire and only leaves the smoke.
1.) Godliness with contentment is great gain! (1 Tim. 6:6)
2.) Contentment short of what God desires for us is not gain, but loss!!!(No fire / smoke)
3.) I want all that God wants to give me!!!
There are two things which Isaiah speaks of which we must do if we want to see God’s power and enjoy all that God has for us.
I.) We Must Get Stirred Up Again!
1.) Isaiah wanted to see God do it again!!!!! ( Not satisfied with memories (Isa 6:1-8)
2.) I want to see God do it again!!!
3.) It’s time we tire of the devil’s bullying!!!! (Mt. 16:18, Eph 6 Armor, 2 Cor. 10:4)
4.) We need a renewed vision!!!! (Prov. 29:18) “no redemptive revelation = anarcy”
5.) The vision must be one of “greater works”. (Jn. 14:12)
6.) We need His power !!!! (Acts 1:8, 2:1-4, 39)
7.) Beware of those who try to rob you of a miracle working God. (2 Tim. 3:1-5)
8.) (Isa. 64:4) quoted by Paul and applies and enlarges it in N.T. times. (1 Cor. 2:9-10)
All of this has to raise a question! If God is the same and His promises don’t fail, then where is the mighty hand of God in our day???
II.) We Must Put Ourselves Into Position To Receive God’s Power.
1.) Reasons for not receiving from God…
(1) If we are receiving it may well be because we have sinned!!! (Isa. 64:5-7)
* God is a holy God! (Heb. 12:14) [Accept His cleansing!]
(2) It may be that we have been faithless!!! (Heb. 11:6) [Don’t be tonight!!!]
(3) There may be unyeildedness!!! (James 4:7) [Yeilding & Resisting]
2.) Settle this in your heart: The fault is not with God!
3.) Someone has always stirred themselves to take hold of God in times like these.

4.) God is still looking for men and women who will stir themselves to take Him serious.
Conclusion : Recount: Woo, Win and Command!!!
Application : God is looking for someone just like you!!!
Appeal : Repentance and Faith!!!!!!!
Homiletic Subj. : We need a new stirring desire and conviction in our hearts to be revived.
Objective : Challenge to Repentance and Faith for a personal move of God.
