Summary: To see the Lord Spiritually is to know the Lord.

WHEN YOU SEE THE LORD

ISAIAH 6:1-9

INTRO: DL Moody once said, “it is yet to be seen what God can do with a Man that has totally yielded to the Lord, for the Glory of God.”

When Noah was visited by the Lord He yielded and built a boat, when Moses seen God in a burning bush He yielded the lead the Children of Israel out of Egypt, when the Lord spake unto Joshua and he yielded and the walls of Jericho fell, when God said to Enock come, take a walk with me he yielded and God took him, when Elijah seen and Heard from God and yielded He caught a ride on a whirlwind and a chariot of fire,  when David Heard form God and yielded he sing a song, when Thomas Seen the Lord he cry “My Lord and my God.” When Peter Seen and yielded, got filled with the Holy Ghost, preach and 3000 got saved, when Steven saw the Lord on the right hand of God he yielded and ask for forgiveness for those who stoned him, when Paul had seen the Lord He cry “What wilt thou have me to do?” and yielded and became the greatest Missionary who every lived.

So once again I will say that DL Moody once said, “it is yet to be seen what God can do with a Man that has totally yielded to the Lord, for the Glory of God.”

WHEN WE SEE THE LORD

WE SEE OURSELVES

Isaiah 6:5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.

{Zacchaeus saw his selves}

Luke 19:1-10 And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. [2] And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich. [3] And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. [4] And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way. [5] And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house. [6] And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully. [7] And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner. [8] And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. [9] And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham. [10] For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

WHEN WE SEE THE LORD

PRAYING THROUGH

Luke 18:13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

(Most people don’t know what pray Through means)

NOTHING CAN BE DONE UNTELL THE ALTAR IS REPAIRED

1 Kings 18:30 And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down.

JOHN HAD TO KNOW

Matthew 11:2-3 Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples, [3] And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?

(There will come a time in every Christian life that they need an interment relation or for God to make His self-real to us.)

WHEN WE SEE THE LORD

IT WILL PUT GLADNESS IN YOUR HEART

John 20:20 And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.

(Not the first time they were glad to see the Lord. Jesus walked on water.)

WHEN WE SEE THE LORD

WE WILL WANT TO DO SOMETHING

Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

(WHEN PAUL SAW THE LORD)

Acts 9:3-6 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: [4] And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? [5] And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. [6] And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

WHEN WE SEE THE LORD

OUR WOURLD CHANGES

2 Cor. 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

CONC: DL Moody once said, “it is yet to be seen what God can do with a Man that has totally yielded to the Lord, for the Glory of God.”

DL Moody did a great work for the Lord, seen many lives changed, but on his death bed he said again “it is yet to be seen what God can do with a Man that has totally yielded to the Lord, for the Glory of God.”

NOW is the time to get saved if you are not, NOW is the time to have an interment relation with the Lord. NOW is the time to find the altar, get hold of the horns of the alter and let God become real in our lives.
