The Power of this Gospel

Do we truly understand the love of Jesus Christ?
Do we appreciate the righteousness of Our God?
Do we realize the Power of this Gospel?
There was a day that the incarnate god of this universe walked amongst His people.
There was a day that a people knew that by faith they could be healed by just touching the hem of His robe. .
Talk about intensity.. Talk about the power to heal a man or woman with one touch from the master’s hand.
I’m here to tell you that you have the same available to you today as it was in that day,
and He has the same power to heal you right now. All you need is faith to believe and eyes to see.
Let’s look at this faith, the faith of an unknown woman. No one special..
just One of the crowd, no one in high office or of notoriety, not one who was part of mans order, or plan
Nevertheless, a lady of great faith who knew that if she just would touch His robe she would be healed of her infirmity ….
God had a Plan for her because she had an appointment with Jesus the great physician
Mt 9:20- 22 - 20 And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. 21 For she said to herself, "If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well." 22 But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, "Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that hour.
They knew from others … that when He came to town they could be healed by one touch.
Where else could this happen unless the Power of God was in control of the situation and Spirit of god was present.
Mark 6:56 - Wherever He entered into villages, cities, or in the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well.
Anyone who would touch Him was made well the verse sats.
They knew he was coming they were waiting on the road and all they had to do is ask.
All they had to do was lean out from the road and be touched
Reach out and touch Him
This healing, signs and wonders didn’t end when Jesus whet to be with the father, It was just the beginning.
The Spirit of God fell on the People of God and the Power of God dwells in man today.
Today is a day just like the days of old… and I feel we are being prepared for such a day,…. maybe even greater.
A day to see the wonderment of OUR God
The working of His Gifts, Signs , wonders and Miracles is for today.
The Church has for too long given its power over to the world
The toothless lion, a beast with barely any bark let alone bite
To long healing was left to false profits, sorcerers, mystics and magicians
This is a day when we take back our towns and cities our Nation
Sept. 11th was an a warning, an example … a wake up call for America…
In addition, why does this happen… Because the church is passive and doesn’t know its own truths
it doesn’t know its own authority
we wait and lay down like sheep ready for the slaughter
The church in America today Dose not know the true power of the Gospel
We are to be like Jesus the Loin of Judah
Yes a lion that is the most respected of all the animal Kingdome
He knows who he is, and his abilities.
Peter and the Apostles walked this earth by faith filled with the power of God to heal, along with other gifts.
Not compromised power, but the full power of the Holy Sprit that dwells with in us.
Acts 5:12-16
12 And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch. 13 Yet none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly. 14 And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, 15 so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. 16 Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.
Their unity and being in one accord changed the face of this earth, even as we know it today.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ made such an impression on the world in that day that its impact is still going strong 2000 years latter.
Talk about the energizer bunny, who wants some thing to be as powerful or more powerful then it was before
let alone last 2000 years.
I can’t even conceive living that long because….. at best what will a man live…. 100 years or so.
Imagine the impact on the earth if we lived 2000 years?
Again we go on TO THE GRAVE turn to dust …. but the GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST LIVES ON WITH ITS FULL POWER forever
Moreover, the enemy has robbed the church and stole its thunder and power. Convincing people that the gifts aren’t for today.
This is the Lie from the pit of Hell.
He whispers in the ears of Christians, that the gifts and this gospel are not for today and they have no power in Christ.
And the world believes it they swallow it hook line and sinker
If the Gifts were for Peter and the others of that day then they are available for you too.
It is the same spirit that was on them
1 Corinthians 12: 1 – 31 Paul speaks of the members of the body and the gifts of the spirit. Each has his own gifts but in verse 31 He shows us it is ok to want the best gifts
Verse 31 nlt says… And in any event, you should desire the most helpful gifts. First, however, let me tell you about something else that is better than any of them!
And what was greater then the gifts …..LOVE…. Chapter 13 is all about it…
For without love why would there be a need for these gifts or a gospel
The love we need for each other, and the love for a stranger
Isn’t that what the 911 meeting is about
the Love for a community…???? Was all this work for us? I think not
It is a witness to them that here is a Living God and His love for a people.
That there is Hope in this gospel
No matter how broken they are there is healing here.
The light that will shine brightest is not a spot light that night, or the candles for the walk and they are nice to see.
It is the light of your life and the testimony you represent to others
What kind of witness they will see that night My prayer is it will be the great witness of Jesus Christ.
The living God that we serve.
A witness to give them hope
A witness to the path of Christ
This nation will morn there dead and this is needed but from every thing that dies life comes forth a greater blessing. And it is….
The everlasting life that Jesus offers them through salvation
Ask the Lord for the Gifts you need to minister to these souls and he will equip you
Let your testimony be a guide for others, let your witness draw them closer to the foot of the cross.
Let them look at your life and see Jesus Christ
How do you win souls for the Lord?
Some days just one at time.
Take the time give it to the cause of winning a life for Christ.
What greater gift then the Gift of eternal Life through salvation
What greater gift, then the Gift, of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ?
Church it’s time to gear up because Sunday is here and Wednesday 911 is a coming.
get ready because
They will be ready for us
Their hearts will be ready for the gospel after this event.
My question today is …. Will we be ready for them?
My prayer is Yes we will…..
