Summary: Challenges us to a faith that changes the current direction we are traveling in to a direction that God is traveling in by our faith.

Faith That Changes Your Direction

By: Ron Crandall

What is faith that changes your direction?

Now that we are looking at the word faith, what, does it say to you this morning?

If I were to ask you this morning, what is the essence of Faith could you explain it to me, and give me example of Faith?

Are you afraid of the unknown?

Or are you beginning to understand it and why God has given to every man a measure of Faith.

Does faith scare you because you know that FAITH is demanding or is it filling your heart with excitement?

You see:

“Faith never stands around with its hands in its pockets.”

Turn with me to the book of James, Chapter 1:2-9&12-16

2. Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped (totally surrounded) in or encounter ( To come upon) trials of any sort, or fall ( to be taken by surprise, or without sure footing) into various temptations.

THREE THINGS FAITH BRINGS:

1. Endurance

2. Steadfastness

3. Patience

4. Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith brings out [endurance] and [steadfastness] and [patience]. 4. But let [endurance] and [steadfastness] and [patience] have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed (with no defects, lacking in nothing). 5. If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God (who gives) to everyone [liberally] and [ungrudgingly], without reproaching or fault finding, and it will be given him. 6. Only it must be in [FAITH] that he asks, with [no wavering], [no hesitating], and [no doubting]. For the one who [wavers], [hesitates], or [doubts] is like the billowing surges out at sea (believing up one minute, down in the mud the next), that is blown hither and thither and tossed by the wind.

So what are the three things we must not do to have direction changing faith:

1. We must not waver

2. We must not Hesitate

3. We must not doubt

7. For truly, let not such a person imagine that he will receive anything (he asks) for from the Lord, 8. (For being as he) is a man of two minds- [hesitating], [dubious], and [irresolute] – he is unstable, unreliable and uncertain about everything (he thinks, feels, and decides.)

Three things that are a result of disobedience;

1. Instability

2. Unreliability

3. Uncertianity

These three things will ultimately un-do, disconnect or break fellowship with Father God.

“The grass always looks greener on the other side of the fence, but ya still got to mow it!”

“And be content with such things as ye have….” Hebrews 13:5

There are 5 things Faith brings;

1. Endurance

2. Steadfastness

3. Patience

4. Reliability

5. Certainty

God’s desires to take away all fear pf FAITH, because when we begin to walk in Faith we please Him!

Many people have a fear of Faith, because when faith is acted on it means responsibility

Where are you at spiritually this morning?

Are you achieving the things that God has called you to?

If not maybe this morning the Father is challenging you to trust in Him and step out and see what he can do through you.
