ARE YOU PLANTING SEEDS OF FAITH?

As Christians we need to continually plant seeds of faith no matter where we go daily. It is our duty as Jesus said Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

Once we do that the harvest will some day come. We are not always the one to be there for the harvest but we must continue to preach the gospel wherever we go. When the day does come once again Jesus referred to it in Matthew 9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;

Today I want to focus on the planting of the seeds by using the parable of The Sower.

Mark 4:3-8

"Listen to this! Behold, the sower went out to sow; 4 as he was sowing, some seed fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 "Other seed fell on the rocky ground where it did not have much soil; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of soil. 6 "And after the sun had risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. 7 "Other seed fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. 8 "Other seeds fell into the good soil, and as they grew up and increased, they yielded a crop and produced thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold."

Conclusion

Acts 1:8 but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."

1 Peter 3:15 but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;

It is so very important that you be ready, willing, and able to witness for God. While my son was in high school one of his friends had been killed in a car accident. It was only after the fact that he thought. “I wonder if he was saved?” He thought long and hard about all the times he sat next to him and never asked him if he knew Jesus Christ as his personal savior. He thought of all the opportunities he had to ask him that life saving question. Are you passing up opportunities to save some one from a life of eternal damnation? Or are you taking every opportunity to an eternal life of glory with The Lord?
