Praise God for His Supremacy -
The greatest thing we can do in life is to praise God. Begin by worshiping Him for His supremacy over all predicaments, problems and people. Here are several attributes of God that are worthy of our praise:
1. Shepherd – I exalt you Lord for being my Shepherd so I do not have to want. You make me to lie down in green pastures. You lead me beside the still waters. You restore my soul. You make me to walk in the path of righteousness for your name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil because you are with me. Your rod and staff comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup overflows. Surely, goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” (Psa. 23:1-6) Praise you for being the perfect role model for every Pastor.
2. Shield – I praise you Father for being my protective screen from all kinds of adversity, opposition and hardships. “The Lord is my strength and my shield, my heart trusts in Him and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.” (Psa 28:7)
3. Shiloh – I praise you Lord for being the one to whom all obedience is due. “The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between His feet, until He comes to whom it belongs (until Shiloh comes or until He comes to whom tribute belongs) and the obedience of the nations is His.” (Gen. 49:10)
4. Sinless – I praise you God for being perfectly pure, blameless and holy. “God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Cor. 5:21)
5. Snare – I praise you Lord for being a trap for the evildoers and those who go astray from your will. “And he will be a sanctuary; but for both houses of Israel he will be a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem He will be a trap and a snare.” (Isa. 8:14)
6. Solution Giver – I praise you Lord for the promise that you can work all things together for good as long as we love God and are called according to His purposes. (Rom. 8:28,29) Thank you Lord that you can use all hardships, temptations and problems for my best interests through Christ.
7. Son of Man – I praise you Lord for humbling yourself to the level of our humanity. “Jesus replied, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” (Mt 8:20) I honor you Lord for your example of humbling yourself under the mighty hand of God the Father.
8. Song – I praise you Lord for being producing a song in my heart that sings of your goodness and truth. “The Lord is my strength and song; he has become my salvation. He is my God and I will praise Him, my father’s God and I will exalt Him.” (Ex. 15:2)
9. Source of Eternal Salvation – I praise you Lord for being the only source of salvation even when others do not acknowledge You as Savior. “And once made perfect, He became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey Him.” (Heb. 5:9)
10. Source of Strength – I praise you Lord for being my source of energy, might and power. “He will be a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, a source of strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.” (Isa. 28:6)
11. Sovereign – I praise you Father for being sovereign, the supreme ruler, over all. “Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you now dismiss your servant in peace.” (Luke 2:29) Dr Luke wrote, “When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. ‘Sovereign Lord, you made the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything in them.” (Acts 4:24)
12. Secret Wisdom - I speak of God’s secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. No eye has seen no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him. But God revealed it to us by His Spirit.” (I Cor. 2:6-9)
13. Speaker – I praise you Lord for speaking directly to me through your word and Spirit. “For it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.” (Matt. 10:20)
14. Spirit of Intelligence – I praise you Lord for being the only one we can look as the source of Supreme intelligence. “The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him – the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.” (Isa. 11:2)
15. Spirit of Justice – I praise you Lord for providing complete fairness in all of your judgments and decisions. “In that day the Lord Almighty will be a glorious crown, a beautiful wreath for the remnant of His people. He will be a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, a source of strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.” (Isa. 28:5,6)
16. Spirit Who Leads and Empowers Us To God’s Goals – I praise you Lord for knowing how to guide and enable me to accomplish everything you have asked me to do. Paul wrote, “Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort? Does God give you His Spirit and work miracles among you because you observe the law, or because you believe what you have heard?” (Gal. 3:3,4)
17. Spring of Living Water – I praise you Lord for being my everlasting spring of fresh water that renews and nourishes me in every way. Jeremiah wrote, “My people have committed two sins. They have forsaken me, the spring of living water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water.” (Jer. 2:13)
18. Stabilizer – Lord, I praise you that when I feel unable to stand up to the pressures of life, you stabilize me. Thank you for your promise: “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. Be self-self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To Him be the power for ever and ever.” (I Pet. 5:7-11)
19. Steadfast – I praise you Lord for being constant, firm and unwavering in your love, truth and power. Thank you for your promise, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning, great is Your faithfulness.” (Lam. 3:22,23) I hallow your name for your consistency when everyone lets me down.
Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus as the Author and Perfecter of Our Faith – Heb. 12:1-3
Pain Reliever – He heals the broken hearted and sets the captives free
Pain Allower – Three times I asked that the thorn in the flesh be taken from you but he said, “My grace is sufficient for you.”
Pal – Praise God that Jesus is a friend to all who keep His commandments. (John 15:14)
Parable Teacher – I will open my mouth in parables (Ps 78:2)
Parent – Wealth are inherited by from parents (Pr 19:14)
Pass Through Enabler – Pass through, pass through the gates. Prepare the way for the people…raise a banner for the nations (Isa 62:10)
Passage Giver – You bring to mind exactly the scripture that is necessary to minister to the needs of the people at every occasion
Passion – I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my supplication (Psa 116:1, 2)
Passover Lamb – You are the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world
Pastor – Not as lords but as the Shepherd of your flock (I Pet 5:1-5)
Pastor – Praise you that you are the good shepherd so I do not have to want (Psa 23)
Pasture Giver – Praise you that make me lie down in green pastures and restore my soul
Pasture Provider – He leads us in an out of good pastures and supplies for all our needs (John 10:10)
Pathway Unveiler – You make a way when there seems to be no way
Pathway Giver – You will make known to me the paths of life (Psa 16:9)
Patience Giver – Love is patient and kind
Patient – Not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance
Paul the apostle callers – Paul wrote, “Imitate me as I imitate Christ”
Paul the apostle creator, maker and shaper – It is no longer I who live but Christ who lives within me
Paul’s Inspirer & Instructer – All scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, reproof, correction and training in righteousness
Paul’s Intelligence Giver – In Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge
Paul’s Initiator & Invigorator – The love of Christ compels me to preach the gospel where it has not been heard
Pays Attention – Pay attention and listen (Pr 22:17)
Pays Great Dividends – Jesus said, “Some seed yielded thirty, sixty and a hundredfold.” (Mark 4:1-22)
Peace – My peace I give to you not as the world gives (Jn 14:27)
Peace – Praise you that you give me peace unlike the world offers (John 16:31-33)
Peaceful – The Lord blessed his people with peace (Ps 29:11)
Peacemaker – Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God
Pedal Pusher – You are at work in us both to will and to do of your good pleasure (Phil 2:14)
Penalizer – You punish the disobedient (Deut 4)
Pentecostal Power Giver – Praise you that you gave us the Spirit for all nations and people groups
People Giver – Praise you that you give me the people of your choosing to train, love and disciple and fellowship with
People Connector – The hand cannot say to the foot I have no need of you.
Perceiver – You perceive my thoughts from afar (Psa 139:2)
Perfect – Be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect (Matt 5:44)
Perfect Gift Giver – Every good and perfect gift is from above (James 1:17)
Perfecter or our faith – He is the author and perfecter of our faith
Performer of great wonders – To perform great and awesome wonders (2 Sa 7:23)
Permission Giver – Things that man is not permitted to tell (2 Cor 12:4)
Persecution allower – Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil against you falsely on account of me, but rejoice and be glad for your reward in heaven in great for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you
Perseverer – Praise you that you help us persevere even when we are tired and discouraged
Perseverer – Satan tried to stop Jesus from going all the way to Calvary but he could not
Person Director – Praise you for directing all people even though they may not listen
Personal Care Giver – Praise you for giving us personal care as the Lord is My Shepherd
Personal Enabler – He is at work in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure
Perspective-Giver – As the Father has sent me so send I you (Jn 20:21)
Persuader – Being fully persuaded that He promised He is also able to perform (Rom 4:20, 21)
Philosophy Master – Praise you God that you know are the keys to wisdom and knowledge
Picker – Praise you that you know how to select the best for each position
Pillar – He will be the pillar and foundation of the truth (I Tim 3:15)
Pilot – He will direct your paths (Prov 3:5, 6)
Pioneer – Praise God that He is the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. (Heb. 12:2)
Pity for the Weak – He will take pity on the weak (Psa 72:13)
Placer – He leads me beside quiet waters
Placer in heaven giver – Thank you that Jesus said I go to prepare a place for you
Plain Truth – What may be known about God is plain (Rom 1:19)
Planner With Hope – Plans for a future and a hope (Jer 29:11)
Planner – Plans for welfare and not for evil to give you a future and a hope (Jer 29:11)
Planner Almighty – The Lord Almighty planned it (Isa 46:11)
Planter – Praise you Lord that you know how to plant good seed where it will yield the most fruit for eternity
Planter – The will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor (Isa 61:3)
Plea Hearer – You heard my plea (Lam 3:26)
Pleasant – Tells us pleasant things (Isa 30:10)
Pleased One – For God was well pleased to have all his fullness dwell in Christ
Pleasure Giver – In your presence is fullness of joy and in your right hand are pleasures forever
Pleasure Eternally – In your right hand are pleasures forevermore (Psa 16:11)
Pleasure Source – Praise God from whom all blessings flow
Pledger – He gives us the pledge of a good conscience (I Pet 3:21)
Plenteous in Mercy for all who call upon You
Plentiful – He is plenteous in mercy for all who call upon Him
Pointer of pathways – He will direct your paths
Pointer to Jesus – He is the author and perfecter of our faith
Polisher – He made me into a polished arrow (Isa 49:2)
Ponder – Ponder what He has done (Psa 64:9)
Portion – The Lord is my strength and portion forever (Psa 75:25,26)
Position Giver – You appoint us by giving us employment and positions for your purposes
Positive Answer – Praise you for working all things together for good (Rom. 8:28)
Possessor – I possess knowledge and discretion (Pr 8:12)
Possibility Maker – The things that are impossible with men are possible with God (Lk 1:37)
Potentate – He is the ruler and absolute monarch of all
Potter – Praise you that you are the potter and I am the clay who must submit in all ways
Potter – You are the Potter and I am the clay (Rm 9:21)
Pours Out the Holy Spirit – The Holy Spirit had been poured out upon us (Acts 10:45)
Power – He has given a Spirit of power, love and self-discipline (2 Tim 1:7)
Power of Your Resurrection – Praise you God that you overcame death, hell and judgment
Power Purveyor – You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you
Power Strategist – You will be my witnesses in Jersualem, Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth
Power Giver – He gives strength to the weak
Power Gospel Giver – I am not ashamed of the gospel for it is the power of God for salvation
Powerful – Powerful in word and deed before God (Lk 24:19)
Power line – The source of strength (Jn 7:38)
Practical – Whoever practices and teaches these things will be great in the kingdom of heaven (Matt 5:19)
Practitioner of Good, Justice and Truth – You are the one who works in us both to will and to do of Your good pleasure
Praise-Director – Worship the Lord, your God and serve Him only (Mt 4:10)
Praiseworthy – The praiseworthy deeds of the Lord (Psa 78:4)
Praise-Worthy – You are worthy to receive glory, honor, power and praise (Rev 4:11)
Prayer Advocate – Praise you that you command us to ask, seek and knock
Prayer Director– He lives to make intercession for us (Rom 8:26)
Prayer Intercessor – Praise you that you live to make intercession according to the will of God
Preacher – Praise you for urging us to preach when it is convenient and when it is not
Precept Giver – You have laid down precepts that are to be fully obeyed (Psa 119:4)
Precious – Give us His precious and magnificent promises (2 Pet 1:3,4)
Precise – Praise you for accurately expressing yourself in exact and definite terms
Precludes Disobedience with Worship – Praise you that prevent disobedience through love
Predestinator – In His love he predestined us to be adopted as His sons (Eph 1:5)
Pre-eminent – You excel all others (Eph. 1:3,4)
Premier – Praise you for being first in importance
Premium – Praise you are the highly valued one
Preoccupation – He dominates and engrosses our mind with what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, excellent, admirable, praise-worthy
Preparer – The Lord God Almighty will prepare a feast for all peoples (Isa 25:6)
Preparer For Battle – You are the one who prepares for the day of battle and equips me for every good work
Preponderate – Praise you that you are greater in influence and predominate in all ways
Prescient – Praise you for having foreknowledge and foresight in all matters
Prescribe – Whatever the Lord God of heaven has prescribed (Ezra 7:23)
Prescription Giver – Praise you for providing us with the medication guidelines for illnesses
Presence – Praise you that you will never leave me or forsake me so I can confidently say the Lord is my helper what can man do to me.
Present – In your presence is fullness of joy (Psa 16:11)
Presenter – He helps us preach the word in season and out of season by reproving, rebuking, exhorting with great patience and instruction
Present Help and Stay – God is our refuge and strength a very present help in the time of trouble, therefore we will not fear (Psa 46:1,2)
Preserver – Love not the world (I Jn 2:15,16)
Pressure – Praise you for helping us be convicted by the Spirit at the right times and amounts
Prevailer of Eternal Purpose – It is the Lord’s purposes that will prevail (Prov. 19:21)
Prevailer – Love bears all things, believes all things, hope all things, and endures all things
Preventer of Mistakes – Watch and pray that you enter not in to temptation. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak (Matt 26:41)
Priceless – How priceless is your unfailing love (Psa 36:7)
Pride Hater – God will bring down the proud but give grace to the humble (I Pet 5:5,6)
Priest – We do not have a priest who cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities but was tempted like we are yet without sin (Heb 4:15)
Priest – You will be a kingdom of priests to the nations (Ex 19:5,6)
Primary – You are above all others (Col 1:16)
Prime One – You are the one who gives us the prime of life (Isa 38:10)
Principle-Giver – Be faithful in little things so you can be responsible for much (Lk 16:10-12)
Priority-Planner – I have accomplished the works you have given me to do (Jn 17:4)
Priority-Setter – Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness (Matt 6:33)
Prison Releaser – He sets the captives free
Prison Epistle Orchestrater – For to me to live is Christ and to do is gain
Privilege Giver – Every good and perfect gift is from above (James 1:17)
Privilege Giver Eternally – In your presence is fullness of joy and in your right hand are pleasures forever more
Pro-Active – Praise you for being an initiator
Prober – Though you probe my heart (Psa 17:3)
Problem-Solver – He was tempted by the devil (Matt 4:1)
Procedure Giver – There is a proper time and procedure for everything (Eccl 8:6)
Proceeder – Praise God for moving the church forward amidst all opposition (Matt 16:18)
Processor – He works all things together for good (Rom 8:28)
Proclaimer – Praise you for proclaiming truth, justice and love despite peoples’ response
Procurator – Praise you for having the power of attorney as our advocate in all situations
Prodigious – Praise you for being marvelous, enormous and productive
Producer - God gives the fruit (I Cor 3:6)
Producer and Grower – I planted and Apollos watered by God caused the increase
Produces Endurance – Through perseverance and encouragement of the scripture we might have hope
Produces Fruit – He produces a harvest of righteousness
Professional – Praise you God for being superb, skillful above all amateurs
Proficiency Giver – He makes us adequate as servants of a new covenant
Profit Giver – I pray that you may prosper in every way (3 John 2)
Profitable – For then you will make you ways profitable and then you will have good success (Josh 1:8)
Profound – His wisdom is profound, His power is vast (Job 9:4)
Prognosticator – The one who foresees and foretells what is to come (Jn 14:21)
Progresser – He who began a good work in you is able to complete it (Phil. 1:6)
Prohibiter – You can do all things and no purpose of yours can be thwarted
Projector – Praise you for projecting truth, love and hope to all people
Prolific – Praise you that you are the one who produces many offspring and mighty works
Prolonger of our days – For the law will prolong your days (Prov 3:2)
Promiser – Seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness through the true knowledge of Him who calls us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises in order that you might become partakers of the divine nature having escaped corruption that is in the world by lust. (2 Pet 1:3,4)
Promoter – For promotion comes neither from the east, west or the south, but God is one who sets up one and puts down another
Promotes – Over an offense promote love (Pr 17:9)
Prompter – Your labor prompted by love (I Thes 1:3)
Proof of Love – God demonstrated His own love for us in that while we were sinners, Christ died for us. (Rom. 5:8)
Propeller – Praise you for pushing on forward, onward and upward amidst all opposition
Proper – At the proper time we will reap if we faint not (Gal 6:9)
Proper Timer – You give them their food at the proper time (Psa 104:27)
Property Owner – The owner of everything as you own the cattle on a thousand hills
Prophecy Giver – No prophecy was given by men but holy men spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit (2 Pet 1:20)
Prophet – He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed (Lk 24:19)
Propitiates – He provides an atoning sacrifice for our sins (I Jn 4:10)
Propitiator – Praise you for giving us Jesus Christ as the way to satisfy the wrath against sin
Proponent – He puts forth proposals and supports all of His causes
Prospects – The prospect of the righteous is joy (Pr 10:28)
Prosperer – The Lord made him prosperous again. The Lord will make you prosperous (Job 42:10)
Prosperity Giver – Praise you Lord that you alone know how to make our ways prosperous and give us good success
Prosperity Rewarder – Prosperity is the reward of the righteous (Pr. 13:21)
Protector – I will protect Him for He acknowledges me (Psa 91:14)
Protects – He protects you from the evil one (2 Thes 3:3)
Prover – Can any of you prove me guilty? (Jn 8:46)
Proverb Giver – From the mouth of God comes wisdom and understanding
Providence – Praise you that you always give us what is best for times ahead in all ways.
Provident One – Praise you for being the one with all the resources and wisdom to know how to give to each according to their needs
Provider – My God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Phil 4:19)
Provides – He provides purification from sins (Heb 1:3)
Proving Your Faith – That the trial of your faith works patience, let patience have its perfect work that you may be complete
Proving Your Point – Proving from the Scriptures that Jesus rose from the dead (acts 18:28)
Provoker – Let us provoke one another to love and good deeds (Heb. 10:24,25)
Prowess Giver – He gives skill, gallantry and valor for those who hope in the Lord as they renew their strength and mount up with wings as eagles and run and not grow weary
Prudent – A prudent wife is from the Lord (Pr 19:14) The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways (Pr. 14:15)
Pruner – Wisdom is good for acquiring a disciplined and prudent life (Prov. 1:3)
Psalms Giver – Speaking to one another in Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs (Eph 5:19)
Publicly Displays – Have taught you publicly and from house to house (Acts 20:20)
Publisher – Publish glad tidings of peace of redemption and release
Pulls – You pull us out of the pit and redeems us from destruction
Punisher – He punishes everyone he accepts as a son (Heb 12:6) Do not despise the discipline of the Lord
Punisher – He will punish those who do not know the Lord Jesus and do wrong (2 Thes 1:8)
Punisher of All that is wrong and evil – Vengeance is mine says the Lord, I will repay
Purchaser – With your blood you purchased men for God (Rev. 5:9)
Purger – Beatings purge the inmost being (Prov 20:30)
Purifier With Fire – Burns away the chaff with fire (Mt 3:12)
Purifier – Cleanse me so that I might be white as snow. If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness
Purifier and Sets Apart – He purifies us and sets us apart from sinners (Heb. 7:26)
Purpose Giver – Praise you that you have a plan for us and your purposes are higher than man’s ways
Purposed – His will which He purposed in Christ (Eph. 1:9)
Purpose-Giver – From Him, through Him and to Him are all things (Rm 11:36)
Pursuer – God pursued Jonah until he obeyed (Jonah 3,4)
Pushes – You push me up to higher levels of maturity in Christ (Eph. 4:15)
Put Down the Proud – Praise you for humbling the proud
Put Off What is Evil – Praise you that convict and show me how to put away anger, fear, jealousy, impatience and unwholesome thoughts (Eph. 4:22-32)
Put Thoughts of Goodness in Our Minds – Praise God that you fill my mind with what is truth, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy (Phil 4:8)
