Unlocking God’s Blessing’s

1 Sam 7:1-14

1 Samuel 7:9

And Samuel took a sucking lamb, and offered it for a burnt offering wholly unto the Lord: and Samuel cried unto the Lord for Israel; and the Lord heard him.

1 Samuel 7:10

And as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel: but the Lord thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were smitten before Israel.

1 Samuel 7:11

And the men of Israel went out of Mizpeh, and pursued the Philistines, and smote them, until they came under Beth-car.

1 Samuel 7:12

Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Eben-ezer, saying, Hitherto hath the Lord helped us.

1 Samuel 7:13

So the Philistines were subdued, and they came no more into the coast of Israel: and the hand of the Lord was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel.

1 Samuel 7:14

Sacrifice: To kill or slaughter for a purpose. Forfeiture of something highly valued for the sake of one considered to have a greater value or claim.

an Offering was given before Samuel “cried out to the Lord for Israel.”

The Five Types of Sacrifice

(Whole Burnt Offering). Lv. 1:1-17. An unblemished male animal (not a wild animal, but one you had to put money and work into) or a bird.

Grain Offering (minah) of cereal, flour mixed with oil and wine. Lv 2:1-16. Offered for the sin of the offender. Only a small portion was burnt. The majority went for support of the priests.

Peace offering or Communion sacrifice. Lv 3:1-17. Emphasizes the union between God, who receives a small part that is burnt, and the donor, who also receives the major part. The victim could be male or female. It could not be a bird, which would be too small to share with God and the family of the donor.

Sin offering (freeing from the sin offering) hatta’t, Lv. 4:1-5:13. Something sacred has been violated and reparation needs to be made. The dignity of the person making the offering determines the animal. A bull is needed for a priest or the whole community. A goat can serve for a lay offender. A key part of this ceremony is the sprinkling of the victim’s blood on the altar. If the offence has been committed by a priest or the whole community, blood must also be sprinkled on the altar of incense in the holy part of the temple and on the curtain of the holy of holies. The fat is burnt. The priests get the rest if it was an offering for the sin of an individual. The guilty person gets nothing. However, if it was offered for the sin of the whole community, the other portion was thrown on the refuse heap.

Guilt offering – reparation for an offence that requires some kind of restitution. It pays God back for something we should have given or done.

intercessory prayer is powerful, because you are asking God to move on someone else’s problem, and not your own. You have to feel each other’s pain, to be able to cry out to God for them. the bible say’s in

1 Cor. 12:26

“And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. “

So, all the church should be praying and giving sacrifices for one another. if your child were in pain, and the doctor’s had thrown up there hand, and said there was nothing else that they could do, what would you give to God. what would you sacrifice??

Time ?

energy?

strength?

money?

Life???

Well that’s Just what we should be doing for one another

Genesis 4:9

“And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper?”

When God Move’s on a situation for someone in the body, we should be so happy, that we can’t stop singing praise’s to God for moving on our brother, and sisters need!! Now we all know when praise’s go up, blessing’s come down.

Your break thru, your miracle, may just be a praise a way.

Now brother ‘s and sister’s I want you to know, the enemy will always try to stop you from reaching your blessing. Because he knows, if you move the heart of God, if God start’s reaching for you, as hard as you’ve been reaching for HIM, I like how JESUS said it in

Mark 16:17

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Mark 16:18

They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

God will fight our battles for us

Exodus 14:14

The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

Exodus 23:27

I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.

Deut. 1:30

The Lord your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes;

Now there has to come a time when we will leave our comfort zone, and stop watching God bless, everyone a round us, and start being the instruments, that God is blessing people with.

OH, Mt. Zion ,

Psalm 124

2 If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us:

3 Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:

4 Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:

5 Then the proud waters had gone over our soul

6 Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth

7 Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.

8 Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Because everything the enemy has taken from us will be given back,

Psalm 37:25

I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

My brothers, and sisters

Romans 8:38

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

you see we need to offer a sacrifice of praise

Hebrews 13:15

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

Hebrews 13:16

But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Praise often requires that we kill our pride, fear, anything that threatens to deminish or interfere with our worship of the lord.we also see the reason for our praise....the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is by Him,in Him, with Him, to Him,and FOR Him that we offer our sacrifice of praise to God.

Romans 12:1

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

1 Peter 2:5

Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
